I recently started watching her videos on a website called Invidio. I just don't want to contribute in her view count when I can hardly pay attention to her content anyways. Honestly I just watch it her so can contribute here. I tried watching today in 1.5x speed and it totally made it watchable.

The stark difference of Elle and Dan being with the 3 kids is crazy. Dan is relaxed and actually listens to the boys. It's nice to see that they get a normal parent relationship from him. It is gut wrenching to hear Cohen pursuing Elle's attention. She really should've been more pro-active in making sure he feels secure in this transition. Instead, she only paid attention when it was too late when Cohen was already insecure.

I've never heard of a 3rd time mom getting so much pampering! Massage and chiro visit in the first week plus a doula that cooks food and folds laundry is just too much. And on top of that she has Bumpa on Forde and Cohen duty when they are not in school or daycare. While Dan is ALSO at home filming and tending to whatever Elle needs. So like TeachIT said, she really is just parenting a newborn baby. And in all honesty, newborns are so easy minus being sleep deprived. When I had my 3rd 2 years ago, I happily handed over my newborn to my husband after he came home from work on 3rd day post partum. I just started doing the dishes and cleaning just because I was so sick of sitting down and breastfeeding.

Anyway, there are so much annoying things to unpack on that video that you guys already touched on. Also, keep 'em coming!

I can’t get over how she said she felt guilty and should be cleaning a BATHROOM but doesn’t say she should be spending time with her kids. I honestly thought THAT was what was going to come out of her mouth. But she said BATHROOM. Her priorities are fucked up. Agree with TeachIT - she used the plate juggling as her excuse for neglecting her kids. Put the camera down. Honestly. She says she has her ‘mom plate’ her ‘wife plate’ her ‘work’ and ‘friend’ plate....IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS YOUR LOVE PUT THE CAMERA AWAY. Keep him home for a few days - especially with her dad and dan available for the other kids - and spend some time with him.

Seriously? I’m disgusted that it took Cohen climbing into her bath and snuggling into her for her to realize she needed to spend time with him. It’s infuriating.

Her ‘Viking’ child will be doing a lot more ‘Viking’ shit if that’s what it’s going to take for him to get attention.

Also, she goes into the after-birth doula support she has and gave herself 'permission to have a week's bed rest'. WOW. Now that is relatable for a mom of 3! Elle is absurd; unless she had some major physical complications she is not disclosing.
Previously on her channel she always spoke about how birth is what our bodies are designed to do and how natural it all is blah blah blah...but then how does that warrant a week in bed?
I've been pondering on this...

From what I know, risks of tearing and general tissue trauma in the genitals is higher with epidurals, coached pushing, and pushing while lying on your back.

With epidurals, it's not the epidural itself it's what having one almost always leads to: you can't feel shit so you get coached pushing which I've read spikes risk of tissue damage versus allowing baby ejection reflex to do the work or pushing when you feel the need to. Also Since you've got little control/feeling in your legs you're most commonly directed to lie flat on your back and push which means more work for mom as she's fighting against gravity to get baby up and over the hump in the birth canal that supine positions make AND the supine position puts pressure on the tailbone, disallowing the pelvic opening to open as needed when baby's head is passing.
(If anyone is interested, this is a great read: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4235063/ )

SO all that said, I do believe she likely suffered some physical trauma. I'm not sure exactly why she isn't sharing this if it's true, because it honestly supports her previous position of "awl nee-ah-tuh-ruhl"(ugh I hate that term, people should rather be focused on "minimal interventions" IMO).

I can see needing to rest if you tear. But the woman who shares “shart vs shit diaper” with us, isn’t mentioning a tear? Idk. Seems fishy.

Either she didn’t tear and is a lazy fuck, or she tore and she’s weird about sharing it. Which - WHY? She just vlogged about butt cream and told us all her nipple size. Why be shy now.

Yep, exactly what's making me doubt my theory. But idk, she's done super weird shit in the past.

I think she tore with at least one of her boys, which we all know were born without medication thanks to Elle beating us all over the head with this information.

I had super bad tearing after my kids were born, and honestly, it’s no big deal at all. Like not even a consideration. A bit of Tylenol 1-2x a day for the first few days and that’s it in terms of pain management. Stool softeners and the squirt bottle for bathroom needs. If anything, it feels better to be up and about rather than sitting in bed all day long. Keeps the pressure off the area.

I just had a baby a month ago, ended up with three small tears and I didn’t spend any time in bed. I’m finding it hard to believe that the self proclaimed guru of natural birth needed to take that much time with Blankette. She’s really just being a sad excuse for a mother and my heart aches for those two boys who don’t know why their momma is ignoring them. They probably think they did something wrong. She could have at least parked herself on the couch where the boys could be with her and interact with the baby. They all need time to adjust to being a family of five... What a train wreck she’s causing.

Why does Elle think that Blankette needs a special diaper cream just because the cream can go into her lady bits? I don't know of it's just me but I don't put on a diaper cream unless I see signs of irritation. I just find her being so weird with the whole diaper situation and making it a big deal just because she now has a girl.

So I'm guessing the Sudocrem that she highly recommended in the past is now not suitable for girls. According to Miss Elle, if you have a baby girl make sure to get your butt cream from Whole Foods people!!! It's better for the lady bits!!!

At my last Brazilian wax, I got THE WORST rash after. All the way from my pubic bone to my asshole, shit was burning LIKE FIRE. It hurt so bad I couldn’t breathe after peeing. I went through an entire tub of sudocrem in a few days before it went away. Rubbed that stuff in literally every nook and cranny lol.

I (and literally every female baby with a fanny rash since the dawn of time) AM LIVING PROOF THAT DIAPER CREAM IS TOTALLY SUITABLE FOR VAGINAS - BIG AND SMALL!!!!

Maybe the real reason behind Elle's behavior is that she has PPD? She could have started suffering from depression before she gave birth, and that's why she wants to be holed up and not interactive. I could definitely see her attempting to hide her depression even though it's nothing to be ashamed of.

She is definitely prone to it with her history of poor mental health. I think she self-diagnosed herself with PPD with Cohen because of the channel exploding/nursing trouble/challenging baby.

I haven’t seen the vlog yet, I think I’ll try Seriouslysweetie’s suggestion of invidio! I, quite honestly, don’t give a shit about Elle’s baby content. It’s boring as hell. I’m here just holding out for the moment her train derails! Once all of her post-partum help leaves and she has to actually parent her boys.... ooooo I can’t wait!!

I wonder if she will post a father’s day vlog. Shall we take guesses on the title?

DADDY/DAUGHTER FATHER’S DAY (two other male children also make an appearance)

DADDY OF A DAUGHTER’S FIRST FATHER’S DAY

SURPRISE!! FATHER’S DAY PRESENT: DADDY PERMITTED TO HOLD NEWBORN DAUGHTER

Bahahaha!!

I could totally see “FIRST FATHERS DAY AS DADDY OF A GIRL” or some variation. She legit will think this is a more special Father’s Day/FIRST just because there’s a vagina now.

Her making such a spectacle of Dan's role in Blankette's life screams, to me, that Bumpa was likely a mostly absent dad. Which kind of answers our "where was he during all of the abusive mom stuff?" questions.

That’s a really good point, I always assumed he was extremely absent and that they must have made amends along the way, because seriously, as a parent, it would be a cold day in hell the day my kids live with a friend or on their own while still in high school! But I hadn’t made the connection between her reaction to the new baby and Dan in terms of her relationship with her own father. Interesting food for thought!

Very interesting, indeed!!! So much emotional download onto this poor baby. I can see the HBO special now: BORN WITH BAGGAGE: THE TRUE BLANKETTE STORY.

Here’s another idea for Father’s Day content for Elle: BUSY SAHM MOM OF 3 SPENDS DAY AT THE SPA SO DADDY CAN SPEND FATHER’S DAY WITH KIDS

I finally made it through the latest video and I walked away feeling kind of sad for the boys and for Dan. It feels like Elle, who probably knows this is her last baby, is holding on so tight to this baby stage but it’s at the expense of her boys.

All of these appointments and self care visits but I feel like there was not a lot of “look at my family of five” because Elle segregated herself from everyone and stays holed up in her room or being spoiled by multiple doulas or appointments for herself. Who is watching the boys? I’m surprised that her dad is helping so much but I kind of feel like he doesn’t have a choice. And I think it’s very telling how dan’s parents reacted to Elle.
