She’s not delinquent. You pay 2018 property taxes in 2019. Hers are due 7/31/19 and anything after that will be considered late.

That is how ours works in Indiana as well. You pay the previous years.

That's how most do work, but hers does say delinquent. And if anything what was due in July is half. Ours is half February and half July. But hers says delinquent

I wonder if there is a history of payments that can be seen. On my counties you can click the history and see all the payments.

It literally says delinquent. They were due March 31st. Here are the dates
I’m on the Orange County Tax Collector website and when I pull it up, it shows it’s currently due and not delinquent. I just got my tax bills in the mail for the 2 properties we own and it lists it just like that.

Yep here’s the link. Knock yourself out looking but it was very clearly delinquent as of April 1st as I posted above. They must do it different than Indiana

Not sure where you see it say currently due? Its under unpaid and when you click pay now it clearly says delinquent. I posted Florida’s pay schedule that is posted on the same website

i think its because it doesn’t say delinquent until you click on pay now. if you read the dates it looks like the have til end of july to pay. i saw your post after this, just clearing up what the confusion may have been.

I get what your saying about it looking delinquent. Wonder if they got a extension or something.

Idk if Florida does extensions because I don’t live there but if they can’t pay the $8,000 then they probably shouldn’t be on a first class trip to the Maldives.
I did find this link about their taxes though it it sounds pretty serious if it’s accurate. http://www.taxcertsale.com/BradfordTaxS ... rocess.pdf

something’s obviously going on because its passed june 1st and it looks like they would have a lien on the house if they hadn’t paid or made arrangements to pay. this is why i LOVE being a canadian. we still have a right to privacy , none of this is public record. i’m sure you could maybe get your hands on it, but you’d have to have valid reason and apply.

Okay...not to be this person, but at least here in NH your monthly payment included taxes and it’s the mortgage companies job to submit those payments twice a year when they are due..
