Unrelated, but I love your username! I absolutely LOVE Mad Men. I actually just rewatched the series and couldn’t help but find so many similarities between Britney and Betty Draper. Both are cold, emotionally distant mothers who desperately need therapy.

It’s not just that the trip was boring but nothing was stopping her from extending her stay and looking up fun things to do. She clearly had months knowing she was going on this trip and had no excuse since it’s summer break. This was the most useless sponsored trip, at least at the Nickelodeon resort they had some fun but what the hell did they do here? Just drive around and see the scenery and sit in a hotel?

I thought Ean had the kids every other weekend and they alternated holidays. But ,if it was Ean's day, he had every right to put his foot down about the trip and the courts would have backed him on it. Britney can't just decide the kids don't go to Ean's because of some bullshit sponsored trip. She has to comply with the custody/visitation agreement as much as he does. But maybe Ean informally agreed to the trip in exchange for another time.
Ean has every Sunday and every other Saturday.
If he agreed to let her take them, I hope she extends the same courtesy to him if he ever needs/wants them on a day that is not his designated day. I just see her being petty and frank being way too jealous and insecure to let Britney talk to him, even to arrange something like this about custody.
There have been a couple times where she leaves the older 3 with a family member so she can go out with frank and scarlet and it makes me wonder, why not just send them with their dad? but they don’t seem to have that kind of amicable relationship to be able to do that yet.
Ellie and Jared went as well. Humbling for them because this was a low budget AD compared to what they used to do. BUT check out Jared’s Insta Stories. He actually showed the car and features. If I was Hyundai I would be pissed that the Morrows sucked so badly!
I don't get why Hyundai would sponsor them and/or why they would go on this trip when they just purchased a different make of car?? I know this was probably planned a long time ago, but why go? They showed the features of their own car better than they did for this sponsorship.
They could’ve easily extended their trip and done something fun in the area, and I’m pretty sure Coeur d’Alene is only a few hours from Glacier National Park and Seattle. Either place could be so much fun for the kids.
Also I can see why Ean wouldn’t have wanted her to take them last weekend when he was missing his day this weekend too. Says a lot about her that she was so bitter about it.

Spot on with the parenting styles. Back when I watched it 4+ years ago, Britney was a decent mom so I didn’t make that connection!

I hope Britney never changes. I honestly wouldn’t watch her if she were a good person and devoted mother. She has been given an opportunity through YouTube to make a living and stay home with her kids yet she is probably the most boring human I have ever seen. Their parents probably think an “adventure” is road tripping to the next state over and eating chicken fingers at a Cheesecake Factory. You’d think being young parents, the pro would be that they’re more “hip”, fun, energetic... I swear to god my 70 yr old parents seem like rowdy rebellious teens compared to these two wet blankets.
