It's funny how Kendal complained about people accusing them of being rich when their channel was called The Rich Life yet they are constantly spending and flaunting their money. I don't know any regular middle class family that goes shopping multiple times a week and does spending challenges.MiloandMax1 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 8:51 pm 4 of the 6 vlogs in a week were "I'll buy it" challenges in the title.

I thought about that. She kept saying Rich is just our last name.thealiengirlkathryn wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 8:16 amIt's funny how Kendal complained about people accusing them of being rich when their channel was called The Rich Life yet they are constantly spending and flaunting their money. Re: The Rich Life
Does Kendall annoy anyone else with the way she talks on IG stories?
“Good moooorrrrning y’aaaaallllll. I’m just sittiiiinnngggg here drinking my coooooooffffffeeeee. I hope you are haviiiiinnngggg a good daaaaayyyy.”
“Hey guuuuuuyyyyssss! New vllllooooooogggg is livvvvvveee. Go watch it. “
She has the whiniest , fakest voice and draws out syllables. Drives. Me. Nuts.

^ Yeah, also she begins about 3 sentences, then goes off on a 4th one. = As soon as her face fills the screen I always fast forward until the camera is back on the kids/dog/husband/scenery. LOL
I also noticed: Although both parents are lean, it seems Evie loves junk food a bit too much...

Yes...to all of this! I hate that as soon as the camera is on her face she plays with her hair and comments on her appearance. The woman loves herself!lip wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 3:35 am ^ Yeah, also she begins about 3 sentences, then goes off on a 4th one. = As soon as her face fills the screen I always fast forward until the camera is back on the kids/dog/husband/scenery. Definitely Evie needs to reign in the fast food consumption.

This family is the perfect example of new money. I come from a fairly well off family and we do not spend nearly as much as they do and definitely do not go shopping as much as them. Like all this money they spend on challenges good go towards a nice family vacation to another country that does not involve a "let's spend (waste) money challenge.

Re: The Rich Life
I agree. They could easily afford a holidays to Hawaii or maybe a 3 days Caribbean cruise if they would just stop wasting money on fast food, Starbucks, challenges and shopping trips to the mall. I’m sorry but would they actually have bought Brinley a laptop for 1000usd if she had guessed the price correctly? Already a 145 dollar hair brush is an excessive gift outside of birthdays/Christmas. My husband has a real job and earns a decent salary but if one of our kids wanted (not needed) something as unnecessary as a magic hairbrush that cost that amount of money they would have to wait until a special occasion.Giannaaaaa wrote:Mon Jun 17, 2019 8:20 am This family is the perfect example of new money. Kendal also admits that she is snarky to her haters. I’ve seen her be snarky to people who ask genuine questions and aren’t even haters. Many of her followers are kids and they ask genuine questions and she often replies in a horrible manner leading the kid to grovel for an apology and her approval. It’s really sad.

All these purchases they make for the videos, they probably write them off and make bank come tax season. It wouldn't surprise me if they get caught up in some tax evasion situation or something.

Another challenge buy whatever you want. I don't get it. What do viewers see in watching that. They couldn't even buy a house in Florida because their YouTube income wasn't "reliable" even though they sold their house in NC. So I guess Daniel is a full time youtuber now? I don't think he had plans of going back to work.

Re: The Rich Life
I guess they figured out people are more interested in lavish spending challenges than their actual day-to-day life since they're boring and annoying. I think the spending challenges are ridiculous but at least they let up a little on the constant intruder/pregnant/kidnapping/natural disaster clickbait to try and get views.MiloandMax1 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 11:04 pm Another challenge buy whatever you want. Seven straight days of "I'll buy" videos. I wonder what the next theme will be. Back to Disney?

Re: The Rich Life
I strongly dislike these challenge videos, but if you check the view counts it's obvious why they keep spamming their channel with them. Last month their videos were averaging around 50,000 views, with some still below 30,000 views. These challenge videos are all way over 100,000 views, with some of the more popular ones already topping 300,000.
It seems they have decided to transition from a family vlog geared towards people of all ages to a "challenge" vlog meant for kids (no adult could possibly stand to watch this crap). It's unfortunate, but I don't see it ending unless the views go down. If the choice is between 30,000 views and 300,000 views, it's obvious which they are going to chose.

Re: The Rich Life
I wonder if they do these and actually follow through with buying the items. I can't watch but do they actually check out? Or is it just running around the stores and that's it?

That's just as bad as calling the girls "Beast". Like... in what world, is that cute?

Re: The Rich Life
I was thinking the same thing - tax write-off's for the "I'll Buy" challenges. I am guessing those videos are prob scripted and the girls are told what is in boundary for that particular challenge. And, why don't the boys get to participate in the "I'll Buy" challenges? Or at least get something bought for them as well. Doesn't seem fair to me... or maybe, I am just missing something.

Re: The Rich Life
Kendal has said a couple times that the boys don’t want to do it. Sebi has participated in the last couple but the end up “cheating” for him and Bones anyway. And of course this last one they “donated it all to charity” .... one pair of shoes and some legos. Really?TooManyIdols wrote:I was thinking the same thing - tax write-off's for the "I'll Buy" challenges. Re: The Rich Life
So they donated what suited them, but not the expensive air pods. How can an 11 year old child NEED air pods? What’s wrong with using the headphones that come free with every iPhone?

Re: The Rich Life
I worry about what kind of spending habits their kids are going to have when they grow up. Kendal and Daniel throw money around like it's nothing and buying gifts for no reason really sends the wrong message in my opinion. I could see the kids one day not being able to pay their bills and necessary expenses because they spent all their money eating out and buying stuff they don't need because that was the example their parents set for them.
Besides, don't these shopping challenges ever get old for them? When I was a kid, the exciting part of birthdays, Christmas, special occasions etc. was getting gifts. When you get gifts all the time, it's gotta get old eventually.
