Okay so latest video... which was really annoying (or “really really” annoying as Madeleine and Eric would say)

They wake up in the air bnb, then Madeleine says they want guzman y gomez so they... drive to Sydney??? To get Mexican food??? And then go shopping? Then drive 5 hours back home at the end?

10 hours of driving to go shopping for a video. I am legit so confused.

I think Penelope is the cutest baby on YouTube. She’s absolutely a cutie. I think she will be really pretty when she gets older. I guess they are finally leaving the place they were staying in. They got an apartment.

i think Madeline is very honest and smart as well as talented but I feel like Eric is trying to be as positive and nice as Madeline and it just comes off as fake - he also talks over her !! I wish Madeline had more speaking time seems genuine but they seem like they are great parents compared to others - a lot of people are talking about the money they are fully doing YouTube to focus on their studies and Madeline owns a tutoring company

I agree that Madeline seems to be more genuine. Eric strikes me as trying to hard. Penelope is such a beautiful little baby. I wonder if their mothers ever watch their YouTube channel or if they know about it.

Whoa they showed *so* much of their new area. It was very obvious to me exactly where they are living. Even those who don’t know Sydney could find it with some googling from what they showed. Yikes.

Anyway, rent in that area is around $500-550pw. Very reasonable.

I didn’t see an issue with the video there were so many apartments and where they live they are surrounded by areas with those apartments so even if someone showed up it would be a whole new story to find their building and then their apartment

I think Madeline’s editing is so good !! I also like how she doesn’t depend on the guy to edit like moat family channels with good editing - I rather watch them hold the camera high with good quality vlogs and content with great editing than someone who knows how to hold a camera but is boring and editing is neutral

I think their genuine personalities showed really well in the water breaking in target And birth vlog - in the water breaking Madeline got really unsure and nervous while Eric roughly told her to brush it in and took no care to make her feel assured and then during the birth vlog and taking baby home eric looked nervous and overwhelmed with emotions while Madeline even during a c section was smiling and calm and since Madeline has remained the same always smiling - I don’t think she is fake you cannnot fake whilst in an operation or about to have a baby alone and eric can’t be too fake if he’s dating her he’s probably just uneasy on camera cause he’s a guy and so he just follows Madeline’s ways

I agree about the money stuff. It doesn’t add up at all. Are they living off financial aid maybe? College funds/living expenses their mums set up?

It’s pretty clear no family is involved and they don’t have to pay for college/university it’s free in Australia until they have a career in the area they studied, that’s why they are able to study.

Eric is a economics and commerce student I think they are investing and Madeline runs a business + youtube it’s not that the money does add up I think their finances have changed since the last budget there channel is much bigger than when they did it and upload it more

.... hopefully they update their budget now that they are paying different rent

Of all the teen parent channels, I feel like they seem the most responsible, I admire that they’re both still going to school and trying to make an actual career for themselves as opposed to a lot of teen parent vloggers who drop out the second they start making $$ from YouTube under the delusion that that is gonna support them for the rest of their lives. However, it kinda irked me in one of their Q&As when they openly admitted that Madeline wasn’t on birth control when she got pregnant and doesn’t plan to go on it. Don’t get me wrong, I know birth control and the side effects aren’t for everyone but it makes me wonder if they use protection at all? I honestly doubt it since they were going on about “doing things as naturally as possible.” Ugh, idk. I get not wanting to go on birth control but like.. if you don’t want to get pregnant but refuse to go on birth control, I’d think you’d be a bit more responsible about having sex. Idk.

So found I found this thread because I agree with so many of the comments above!! All of the comments on their channel seem to be young kids or something who clearly don't see through their lifestyle.

I dont want to sound privileged and like I dont know the real world, but their story seems all too much for me. Both abused children who grew up in rich single households, then were kicked out of home with NOONE to reach to?? Where were all their friends when this happened? They didnt have a SINGLE person to reach out to for a couch to sleep on despite being from a wealthy community? I can't fathom being kicked out of home, but if I was I would have multiple parents at my school worried sick about me and would open their arms for support! Where were their teachers at this time? They both went to fancy private schools and from experience my teachers would be so worried about a student at my school if this had happened to them!
Also since they were underage at the time they could have definitely gone to ANY police station, centerlink or youth center and gotten priority care in that situation. I dunno but the whole 'homeless children in a car for weeks' doesn't make sense to me. Thats not how it works in Australia.

I agree that they are't the best with money either. Their previous few videos have involved splashing out on drones and a macbook, but they can't afford a new $300 fridge and needed to borrow the money? Sydney is an EXPENSIVE place to live, but you can definitely get 2 bedroom apartments in the suburbs for less than $600 a week, let alone the $500 one bedroom they had before. Breaking a lease (BAD BAD BAD for your rental history by the way) and moving to gosford (2 hours from Sydney) and then moving back into the same area was so weird to me! They aren't even using the second bedroom for Penelope yet anyway, so I dont know what the rush was about!!

Anyway rant over. Things just dont add up and I'm glad so many others can see right though it as well!
