Back when the girls were babies he'd get up with them in the morning. She'd zombie down later on completely wrecked. Then go to shower and do her hair and makeup and in the span of an hour suddenly be flying and so excited and animated. I honestly cannot decide which one of them is more dysfunctional. I honestly don’t see Ashley as the poor, hard-done-by wife. Maybe that’s wrong of me. I think she probably doesn’t care a lot about Tyson’s needs. She’s too self-absorbed to think about his needs. She facilitates his behaviour, by being oblivious to it because she is oblivious to him. The only person Ashley is capable of recognising is herself.
She clearly had a go at him for being late as you could have cut the tension with a knife in their IG stories. How dare he do something that wasn’t about her.
Now don’t mistake what I am saying about him for sympathy. He is a vile creature. However, how could he be anything else when his life is the way it is? Ashley makes him what he is - she earns the money, she earns the vacations, she has the “good looks” (okay that’s a stretch...), he follows around in her shadow. Don’t you know she’s incredibly fun, outgoing and crazy! Everyone thinks she’s crazy and she doesn’t care what they think!
This whole existence must be a nightmare for him! He has to be able to see how uncool she is; how other people look at her. Most of the other women looked classy last night and she looked like an actual clown - cheaply dressed and behaving like a drunk teenager. Who buys clothes from Amazon to go on a fancy night out? He must see the lack of class oozing from her, every time he goes anywhere with her. He must look at the other men and envy them. I mean, imagine being married to someone as stupid as Ashley!
His lack of self-esteem is written all over him - the food he eats, the clothes he wears, the pictures he likes, his weight, his pontificating! As much as I despise them, I pity them both - but I pity their poor children more! I think he does care about his children at some level. He seems to have more of a genuine connection to the girls than she does. If I had to be married to Ashley for the rest of my life, I’d be in despair. I don’t think she’d be an easy person to be married to.
They are ruining each other’s lives but more importantly they are ruining the lives of their children. It’s such a sad state of affairs. As I said I don’t know which of them is worse

I watched a documentary on Netflix- Drugs, Inc. an episode was about the drug use in Salt Lake City. Very very interesting. If you have Netflix i recommend watching it.

At home TyPerv is the ‘king of the castle’. Dumbash, Ninny, and the miracles are his subjects. He commands ‘helpers’ to take care of his yard, clean his house, cook his food, babysit his children, etc.
In Montreal he was an afterthought. I think he was deliberately late as a way to remind Dumbash that he is the king.
This trip was for the women. The men were tag alongs. And they were treated as such.

Dumbash mentioned Hong king and that she hadn’t earned enough for TyPerv to join her on that trip. Wouldn’t it be great if she didn’t? Wonder if she would still go? I agree, it is impossible to choose between them. I would despair at the idea of being married to Ashley---the noise alone! Also, I don't think I've ever seen her show empathy to anyone. But Tyson is such a windbag, so self-important and pontificating and yet so dumb---it would be torture to have to be with him. He is almost as dumb as Ashley and that is saying something.

I don't know who has more power---she makes the money but he never lets her go anywhere alone (ugh!) He probably has the upper hand in some ways because he was an adult when they started dating and she was a child---that power dynamic would be hard to shift.

Either way, they are disastrous for their children. Tyson at least seems capable of empathy, but he is ignorant and proud of it so he never teaches the children anything, just laughs at them. Ashley is all about female appearance so she doesn't care about anything else about the kids. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Especially after the haul they just brought home from that influencer event. Not only that, but you know the prices are sky high in a store like that. Wherever they take those girls it's hands on everything in their paths. Never do they get told to look and not touch. I would lock my doors if I saw them coming my way.

It would not surprise me if her seemingly manic behavior was the high and low of drugs. I read a book where the main characters mother was a drug use and the ebb and flow of the tides and learning to judge her moods. This could be why, at least in part, she's indifferent to her girls.
