Hypocrites. First of all, Ollie didn't know what a rainbow was. Bryan posted an instastory of the big rainbow in the sky (SoCal had a gorgeous sunset last night with rainbows) and he says "Whoa look at that!" And Ollie asked what it was. Finn knew. A little concerning that an almost 6 year old doesn't recognize a rainbow.
Then Bryan captions it "Happy Pride to everyone celebrating". Bandwagoning hypocrite. Missy has said in her blog or something like that that homosexuality is a sin. Now I admit, people can change and become more tolerant. But something tells me, he's only mentioning Pride Month to seem edgy and cool.

In his defence, Bryan has never openly expressed a homophobic belief from what I’ve seen. I do believe he’d be friends with someone LGBTQ+. Missy and the Hollisters may not, but he isn’t their keeper.

I’m glad he’s being encouraging and supportive. He has a large following, and it could mean a lot to someone. That’s a lot farther than some YTers would ever go!

I also don’t mind his hair. Dude was unhealthy and insecure af for a long time. I’m glad he’s trying to find himself, and is maybe finally happy. He’s worked hard and deserves to be happy too.

* Trust me, the fact that I’m defending him is unsettling for me too Image

Maybe they’re drinking a little too much on the regular. Missy looks rough af. Like seriously she looks messy.
Acting Like a ghetto chick who gets invited to a wedding and ruins it by getting plastered. Not a good look for her

I'll buy that. I guess even if his motivation may not be as unselfish as I would hope, his saying that publicly is still a good thing.

Defend away because for the most part you’re right. Of the two of them I’ve always liked Bryan and have felt sorry for him. He’s overcome a bad childhood and should be proud of himself and live his best life whichever that may be. Sadly he’ll probably always have self esteem issues, because of what he went through in his younger years and though I dislike a lot of the things he’s done I understand him. I had a very abusive mother who suffered from mental illness (I was her target) so I understand him better then most.

So I guess this is what they want their minions to see...sure two almost 30 year olds who never grew up, acting like their still in high school. Not a good look on them. Not sure this is the right way to transition into that singing career he wants. No matter what, money doesn’t buy you class, talent or smarts.

They’re too much. I personally stopped drinking at 21 (Canadian, you can drink at 19), drank a bit when I was 24 but it ended very badly (mixed with anxiety meds and blacked out, caused drama, ended up self admitting to psych ward) and I haven’t had a drink since a week after or so. (Almost 2 years ago, so I’m almost 27)

But many people I am friends with, even my own boyfriend drink. And they get drunk. But past 25, it isn’t cute to be posting on social media. You just look sloppy and immature. Like that’s shit you do in college. Get shitfaced and post embarrassing things you’ll regret in the morning.

But the fact that they have thousands of followers, a majority of young children who they specifically targeted their content to, is disgusting. Plus the fact they’re parents. Idk parents can get drunk, sure. But it just makes me sad because we know the boys, especially Finn are just an afterthought and getting drunk is more important to them.

Then there’s how constantly they get drunk (from what we see) they can do what they want with their alcohol, but they’re parents. Whether they see or not, it’s not a good influence on Ollie or Finn. They’ll grow up and their almost 30 year old parents partying like some college students

Also, they’ve gotten drunk at home too, so I hope the boys were with Mimi and papa. I might be overreacting but I hate the idea of them overhearing whatever happens hen they get drunk :?

I drink too but I rarely get drunk anymore. I drink because I actually enjoy the taste. They are so immature. And what have they been open about?

I don’t even think I’ve ever been truly drunk or hungover. It’s not hard to drink enough water to avoid it. Even for the birthday when I went to the bar with my coworkers (who were all big drinkers) my only side effect was having to pee super bad because I drank a tall glass of water after ever drink/shot they brought me.

I’ve never been a big drinker/party-er though so maybe I just don’t have enough experience in this area. But I definitely agree that at almost 30, they should be way past the getting drunk/hungover part of their life.

Yikes maybe it’s just the people I hang out with/my family but everybody I know still gets drunk on weekends/on vacation/at weddings and parties, ages 18-58. I didn’t realize it was so frowned upon (Obviously getting tacky drunk in public is, but I’ll be offended if people aren’t drunk at my wedding.)

Obviously totally different people. I almost made my wedding dry because I just don’t care about alcohol. Not that I have an issue with it, I’m basically apathetic towards it. My mother talked me out of it, even past just beer and wine if I remember. Her husband drinks harder stuff and she was paying so.. I gave in.

As they say, different strokes for different folks. However, as someone else stated, they have a largely child audience and most of their videos are geared towards kids and family. In this particular case it seems inappropriate for them to be posting about drinking and partying so regularly. Maybe they need to consider making adult or private socials to differentiate from the kid/daily bumps audience.

It's not the partying itself. As someone else said, it's that they purposely chose to focus on a young audience.
And every day is like a weekend to them. They're sitting by the pool drinking and ordering Postmates fairly regularly from the ig posts.

Are you from America? Just curious because I'm originally from Canada and was definitely not super conservative about drinking in my youth, I always liked to go out on the weekend and binge drink, but when I still enjoyed it at 24/25, people were starting to judge me lol.

I've lived in Australia for years and now "uptight" is the word I would use for American drinking culture. On the flip side, Australian drinking culture is probably a bit *too* relaxed and they tend to make people who are choosing not to drink feel a bit like social lepers. But it's very acceptable and definitely expected here to be sloppy drunk at parties, weddings, etc, even work parties, no matter what age you are (well above 18) and as long as you've taken precaution for your kids to be safe of course.

I've also just scrolled through their Instagrams out of curiosity and really didnt see anything that I would consider a bad influence for children..I saw maybe 1 pic each where they were holding an alcoholic beverage in the recent posts and 1 where Bryan was talking about the open bar. But I don't watch their videos anymore and dont follow them on social media, so maybe it's more apparent if you take everything they post together??

Most of the things that we’re talking about has been posted to their IG stories, so after so many hours they’re gone. We’ve talked this before, the Lannings trying to be “edgy” by posting the drinking, Bryan making comments about Missy, bryan using foul language, partying, etc have mostly been on stories.

They mostly come off as being over age high schoolers. They sit around all day and drink and order takeout food delivered (even mc Donald’s). Agree everyday is like the weekend for them since they really don’t have a schedule or job.

Interesting this last weekend their assistant Dallas had a bday celebration...no sign of the Lannings. They showed them eating rice crispy treat cake for Cassie and Carlos bday at their house. Wonder if there’s now a falling out with that whole group. It’s been about enough time.

I am from America, but from the south where I feel like the drinking culture is much more casual and prevalent among all ages.

Missy posted an instastory with Ollie coming into her room (no, not set up at all!) And he says "Mama, I brushed my teeth and made my bed!" And she is all amazed, and says "And you got dressed and did your hair!"
He's almost 6. He _should_ be able to dress himself, make his own bed, and brush his teeth.
For someone who wanted kids "so badly" she doesn't know shit about development, does she?
