Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
I think they are much richer than we would like to think. And I do not know the American system, but they have propably paid off their house.
I saw a vudeo yesterday where are girl said Emma Chamberlain makes 15000 usd A DAY. And if that is true the lumps most be just fine, they get 2-3 time more views a day.
Even if it is 'just' 7000 usd a day....

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
They spend A LOT of money. It rolls in and then it rolls out again. If they have paid off the house, then they haven’t saved up that much money post-YT. Their house is $9k a year in property taxes and strata fees alone. Bryan’s music career isn’t exactly flourishing, and neither he nor Missy have any degrees to fall back on. They will be lucky to hit $100k between the two of them one day. This won’t be enough to pay for the maintenance, property taxes/strata fees and pay for all the other necessities. YT won’t last forever, and these changes prove that. They are comparable to lottery winners who spent recklessly and tied their money up in investments. Their investments were in their house, and most of them were style changes more than actual upgrades likely to add resale value to the home. That money is gone.chrimsi wrote:I think they are much richer than we would like to think. And I do not know the American system, but they have propably paid off their house.

No one questions that Bryan and Missy are making a ton of money, but they have no way to come even close to that without YT. They should have been saving, and establishing a reasonable lifestyle, so they could “top up” their wage every year and be set for life. Instead they have tried to keep up with the Joneses, something unlikely to change should finances dwindle. In the last year they have gone from a high end Social Blade estimate of $4 million a year, to 2 million. They had money, and if they aren’t careful and start banking some money now, they will be selling things off like their friends in a couple of years.

I recently saw a video and the girl showed her Youtube stats and payout. She had a video with over 2.5 million views and it earned less than a video with 700k views. Why? Because the video with more views attracted young viewers from countries that pay out less. She mentioned that to earn more on youtube, you want to attract older/adult viewers because advertisers pay more for their views since they are the spenders. DB attracts the kids and I’m guessing part of the reason for wanting to change their channel away from kids is for this reason.
They must earn millions, but they also spend millions. They have an assistant, a housekeeper, landscapers, producer, music tech, financial advisor, etc. They are used to staying in $1k a night hotel rooms and they are not going to stop because we will notice. They built the studio. They have to pay for medical insurance for themselves and for the assistant.

Scrolling through Instagram and came across Bryan. Thought I would give him a watch to see if maybe he'd improved.
Nope. Still obnoxious and arrogant.
The money YouTube money has provided the opportunity to be debt free and have investments built up. But of course they haven't done that.

I think they probably got itchy feet when they realised Cassie and Carlos were buying. Same will happen when C&C try for a baby. This Lanning baby that has been talked about for years and “we’re thinking about it” “maybe next year” will soon become a reality. I don’t think Missy is ready to give up her Vodka Crans yet.
She may be when their views plummet and they use a pregnancy as a way to temporarily get them back.

Looking at this IG post, I got the feeling that Bryan was doing his therapy online/face time. Is that a thing? I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what he was doing. Is this part of what he said the other day about being more open? Interesting that this house thing came up now.
They’ve also got the added expenses of the horses, school, how many cars and what they pay the grandparents. There’s no way Jim and Suzanne can live like they do on her disability and if he had anything saved from his truck driving days.

The house isn't on market yet. And HS when I looked last night, it said the property tax is actually $13K, not 9K. And the horses and all the trips to Vegas and stays in fancy hotels. It adds up fast. And Missy used to have someone come over and do her hair on a regular basis. Now she's getting Botox too. They're not saving much, if at all.
And yes, doing therapy online is definitely a thing. Michael Phelps, the swimmer, does ads for one app. And there are definitely more than one app. It seems weird to me, but if it works, who am I to question it? I'm glad he's in therapy. He needs it. Funny how he talks about being self-deprecating, because that's not what most viewers see, I don't think. We see the douchey side-- the side that has SM tantrums when he misses a flight, and thinks he's going to be Justin Timberlake.

There is something called Betterhelp which is online therapy. Many are sponsered by them.jmoysa wrote:

I hope he sees someone face to face, personally I would think that is a lot better.

Didn't Lisa Kudrow have some kind of comedy thing about a therapist that did online therapy sessions?
Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
That’s what I was thinking, better to see someone face to face. There’s got to be distractions going on and I’m sure the therapist doesn’t get the full impression of body language, etc.chrimsi wrote:There is something called Betterhelp which is online therapy. Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Therapy online its totally a thing. I think it's good that he is doing it, he definitely has a lot of issues to deal with and if therapy online is the only way to do it, then by all means. The thing that would worry me the most is not body language or distractions, but (unless he is 100% home alone) I doubt he'd feel comfortable talking about Missy and her parents. There is no way Missy is not to blame in regards to his low self-esteem. He is not manly enough (like Jim), or handy enough (like Jim), or strong enough (like Jim), or important enough to her (like Jim). A face to face therapy would definitely be more confidential and maybe he'd actually resolve those issues.
Also, did anyone watch today's "vlog" (aka, 5 minutes of Sponsored content and 3 minutes of crap)? If these idiots homeschool, the boys are going to lose the few tools they have to succeed in life. Missy and Bryan are dumb as a pile of rocks, how the f****, can they impart any knowledge? Ridiculous.

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
So, after 5 years (almost 6) of shoving the kids in front of screens, shutting them in the "playroom" to watch videos all day, NOW Bryan is putting the iPads away. "Go outside and play!"
Now, I think it's good to do that. Period. But don't act like you haven't used screen time to avoid parenting for the past 6 years. We have videos of the boys in the "playroom", in the car with movies on, at restaurants with iPads instead of coloring or just interacting.
And when Finn tried to climb up to get his iPad, what did Bryan do? He kept filming. He didn't say "get down" until Finn was almost to where the iPads were. No. Put down the camera and discipline your child. Because filming tells him it's ok to do that.

The fuck is happening with his hair?
Either he’s been going grey for a while and stopped dying it, or he’s been abusing the Sun-In.
He’s been asking on IG if he should bleach his hair blond. I say yes. Getting a hairdresser to properly bleach and tone his hair will be a hell of a lot less damaging than destroying it with chronic Sun-In use. He’s getting a bad case of Missy-Hair.

If they end up homeschooling these kids that are already behind so "they can travel" I give up. At least Finn had some sense

He desperately needs a haircut and has said so. I don’t know if he’s using sun in or if his hair is getting lighter from being outside in the sun in the summer. You should see how light my 13-year-old son’s hair is getting from being outside and playing in the pool. His hair is brown like Bryan’s normally.Theirmom wrote:The fuck is happening with his hair?

Think about it... of course their going to home school, especially if they have a nanny! I didn’t think they would before because that would mean giving up the time the boys were gone and they could do whatever. Now if they have someone else at the house, they’re free. They really don’t care about education. I lived the “travel is an education too”. Not the places they go.
So I wonder if the nanny (or whoever that was) is staying in that weird room or in the guest room and that’s why they say they need to move.
So Bryan says he went to public school, she says that she went to private school and homeschool. Didn’t they go to the same high school?
Hahaha Bryan taking away the iPads but in the vlog she’s got the kids sat in front of the tv alone.
