DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
It’s not like they are backpacking through Europe, they are going to Hawaii, Disneyland, and to vlogger conventions. How much are they really learning sitting at the pool at The Four Seasons?
Of course they are going to homeschool. They were never going to be able to get their kids to school on time and on a consistent schedule. But they won’t do the work, they will hire a tutor. Homeschooling is actually a lot of work if you homeschool for the right reasons. And of course Bryan throws out that he wants them to be able to pursue their dreams. Ollie is never going to be a child star. It’s Bryan’s dream really.

So they’re at a winery close to home lounging by the pool. Didn’t they spend thousands in that pool and outdoor kitchen? Guess they’d rather have someone bring them food and wine than do it themselves at home.

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Totally unrelated to the discussion...We went to see Hootie and the Blowfish last week. Darius Rucker is a very emotional singer, and uses his hands a lot. He waves them around, and puts his hand on his chest. I thought of Bryan and the way he grabs his chest when he's singing. It's so different. When Darius Rucker does it, it's real. When Bryan does it, it's like he saw someone do it at a concert and thinks that's what he is supposed to do.

“I think Ollie took this pic!” Sure. Your 5 year old took a shot from a high angle with perfect reflection/lighting from the sun.
Why even lie about that, especially when it’s so obviously untrue?

Did they actually go to the beach here? Or is it in Hawaii or someplace like that?
And is he trying to say that they don't take many vacations anymore? Their whole life is a vacation...

This isn’t the first time Ollie has “taken a picture” from an impossible angle Super powers maybe?

I was watching a video the other day from when the Lumps were moving from their previous place to this place they are in now. Ollie would have been about two and a half and I was struck by how he was speaking more clearly than Finn is now at 3.5! And Ollie wasn’t even that good of a talker.
It really drove home just how dreadful Finn’s speech is, the poor little guy. Obviously we don’t see everything, but I hope B&M are getting him some help. I feel like it would bring in some good views if they were getting him speech therapy. I swear his speech is at like your typical 18 month old level

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
It's really concerning. People talk about Ellie and Jared's Calvin and his speech. He is 5 months older then Finn and there is no comparison between their Speech. Calvin says a lot more then Finn does and he did in January when he was the age that Finn is now. Heck Brooks will be three this month and he says far more then Finn. It's a shame because Finn is an absolutely adorable little guy.roseter wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2019 4:29 pm I was watching a video the other day from when the Lumps were moving from their previous place to this place they are in now. Finn absolutely needs to see a speech therapist. I don’t say this lightly, but I think his speech (apraxia likely) is actually pretty severe. When he’s talking, his mouth does not move the way it should. It’s not a criticism of Finn, it’s just something they need to address now.

It's because they don't look at him when they talk to him. Ever since he was born, they have talked to him through the camera. And Ollie only recently started really interacting with him, and _his_ speech isn't all that it should be. So no wonder he doesn't know how to move his lips. Part of my daughter's issue was apraxia. They explained it as basically the things we instinctively know how to do for speech (put your lips together to make a p or b sound for instance) she had to learn.Cgl33 wrote:Finn absolutely needs to see a speech therapist. Agreed. And unfortunately Missy and Bryan are completely clueless when it comes to child development so Finn is unlikely to get help. I really hope they put him in public school. Sometimes private schools, especially religious based ones, are just ignorant to special needs. And Finn would likely improve so much with therapy, but he needs to start it now.

Apraxia can be developmental, but the most common cause is brain damage of some sort.
I wonder if getting stuck during delivery had anything to do with his speech. His poor little head was just so swollen.
