Oh great, Trashy I think is looking in The Woodlands in Texas. Of course. Basically one of the most prestigious planned communities near Houston.
We have family there and the houses are to die for, but Rahsy is still looking at WAYYY above her price range.

The house they went to look at is listed at 499,999 (will not likely sell for anything less than 480000). Can someone please explain to me how that’s *exactly* in their price range when NEITHER one of them have jobs? And even if Justin was full time military, you cannot afford a home at that price with a military salary.
Rachelle is really banking on this influencer gig to work out for them. She’s sadly mistaken. I feel so bad for them watching that video...

That house is $499,900.
Huge yard (2.37 acre) to maintain
They could get a house for just over half that price that is just as nice with a smaller property size and be way more comfortable financially.
Looking was just for the vlog, and that's fine I actually love house hunting and would watch that content all day long. But they went and looked at other houses and didnt film it because it was hot?
I mean, if you're gonna use YouTube as a real job, treat it like one?

Does she realise that beautiful 2.5 acre yard needs constant maintenance?! As soon as they move in they’d neglect the lawn, it’ll die off and it will look terrible. If I was the owner of the house I wouldn’t sell to them.
Also Justin’s planning on living off grid... well and solar panels and they’ll be set?! They can not do anything as simple as now the lawn but they’ll be living off the land once they move to Texas?! Oh, please!

I was just coming here to say her saying it’s going for “exactly what their price range is” sounds like she isn’t accounting for literally every other cost involved in buying the house. To me the way she worded it was implying that the price of that house is their full up-to-their-necks max possible price without any wiggle room. She doesn’t realize all the expense for all that land. The pool and buying a riding lawnmower ect. These two are over there heads because they don’t know how to take care of anything. They will start crying when they have to pay to fix things.

They aren't taking into account the closing costs, inspections, moving long distance costs, fixing their own appliances, etc. Also, they are renting. So I bet you good money not only are they not paying for repairs, they aren't paying for water, trash, etc.
She is also hell bent on the FET. They have to take into account her traveling back to Cali just for transfers and visits.

They should know better... “look at the creek in front of the house!” No, Rachelle... it’s not a creek. It’s for draining the water when it rains so hard the streets flood. And that drainage behind her moms house.. same thing. If they knew anything about Houston and hurricane Harvey, all those drainage ditches flooded and then flooded thousands of homes. Luckily, our house wasn’t one of them that flooded but I saw the disaster firsthand.... and the devastation to our community.

It was a beautiful yard. They really shouldn’t be looking so hard until they actually make the move. Now no other house will live up to that house.
Having a well can be pretty cheap. They take such little energy to run. But if it has to be repaired it would cost thousands of dollars.
HOA fees can be almost as much as your mortgage depending on where it’s at.

For one, they will NEVERRRR buy a house! Unless her mom has enough credit to co-sign on a loan for them, they will NEVER get approved.
If they’re counting on a VA loan, which I’m sure is their plan, do they not realize that amount varies based on location? So, $500,000 in CA, would be more like $260,000 in Texas? They think that $500,000 is “so cheap!” I mean, yes, compared to CA it is, but Justin is not active duty, and neither one of you have STABLE INCOME! No bank is going to risk lending you money!
The whole, “we need a pool” is such bs! They have no flippin’ idea how much maintenance is required when you own a pool. Justin can’t even get off his fat (yeah, I said it) lazy ass to mow their tiny ass backyard, but he’s going to maintain a “ReSoRT PooL” and “tWo AcRes!”
And, again, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FURNISH A 4,000 sq ft home??? How are you going to CLEAN it?? Why in the f**k do you need a “4 CaR GaRaGE?” You won’t be able to park your trashy ass ‘mattress on wheels’ if there’s an HOA!

Most of my quotes were around $2,500. That house, $500,000 in the Woodlands, would probably be $10,000 a yr to insure. So, an additional $800 a month. Plus HOA. They are not buying a house.
