Oh dear god... They would wind up with another sick/delayed baby because they are too young.
I can’t believe Maddie even wants another one when there’s already 6 kids in her house

Now Maddie and Everly are in L.A. and are staying with a bunch of other ten mom's for Vidcom.... Elle and Babes, Cam and Fam, Liola from Sparkly Family, a bunch of others. Interesting bunch of people. Not sure why any of them want to hang out with freaking immature Maddie.

Her daughter is 19 months and barely speaks, just started walking a month ago, looks like she has Down syndrome

Eh, she doesn't look like she has DS imo. My best friends son has DS, most states have testing done at birth I'd think it'd have come to light at this point. Walking is also one of those things that can vary, 2 of my kids walked at 8.5 months, 1 walked at 14, and one is over a year and isn't close to it yet. All neurotypical. I think the mom is super strange and wish she had better guidance but I don't think its cool to speculate her kid has a genetic disorder :(

You must be new here lol. Nobody thinks it’s cool that her kid has a genetic disorder, but another user has proven that Everly has 16 markers for downs

16 markers such as? Is this person a genetic counselor? Because I don't think all the youtubes in the world could provide enough information to say that without interacting, and having tests drawn.

Her age is not a determining factor in Everly’s issues. At least not genetically or with her alleged DS.

I’ve seen you say her age is why Everly is delayed multiple times. If she does have DS, it’s most definitely not because of her age.

Other risks are there, but they are mostly because of ignorance about prenatal care and once again, not specifically age.

The risks Everly has because of Maddie’s are more to do with her immature and dumbass decisions now. Like throwing an iPad at her instead of reading a book.

Actually the person IS a specialist. If you would take the time to read the fucking thread, you might answer your own questions.

Well babies of teen moms are more likely to have health issues so yes I have said it multiple times. Whether it’s because of her genes or her shitty parenting is up for debate. Don’t act like a 14 year old is usually going to give birth to a healthy baby though because it’s just not the case

If you’re going to say don’t act like....then don’t act like Maddie being 14 is the cause of Everly’s issues. Especially when people are claiming it’s due to Down’s syndrome. That’s genetic and more of a risk for older mothers.

The health risks associated with having a child that young are mostly for the mother’s health. No matter how much you dislike Maddie, it doesn’t change science and fact.

14 year olds have and do give birth to healthy children every day. You’re carrying on like every teen is doomed to have a sick or delayed baby.

*not condoning having a baby when you’re not even old enough to rent a go kart by yourself.

Let’s agree to disagree. Science contradicts what you’re saying actually.

Down Syndrome is not actually more of a risk for older mothers. Young mothers have kids with down syndrome every day.

I am not a genetic counselor and have not claimed that Everly HAS Down Syndrome, but that she has many markers for it and I believe she MAY have Mosaic Down Syndrome. By the way, genetic counselors don't diagnose, they counsel. Having markers for genetic conditions does not mean a child has or has not got the condition, only testing will show that, however 6 or more markers for a condition most certainly increases the likelihood of having it.

My qualifications if you must know are Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Post Graduate Diplomas in Women's Health and Adolescent Mental Health and I am currently doing my Masters in Child and Family Health. I have over 25 years experience in these settings and remain active and current throughout them all, with midwifery being at the forefront of the roles I rotate through.

I am not in the USA but I can assure you that genetic testing is not carried out on every child at birth, it would cost an absolute fortune!! We do however as midwives do a routine baby check on every baby after it has had an hour of skin to skin with its mother and a breastfeed ( in a well baby and mother... formula if the mother desires ). When anomalies are noted, a paediatrician will come and take a look and a plan will be formulated from there as to what testing etc is needed. Parents can decline testing where a baby's life is not dependant on it.

I'm really busy at the moment and if you have bothered to read this thread as has been suggested by many now, you will have the answers you were looking for. You've been rude enough that I don't really feel like answering you in any further detail than is already in the last few pages, but at the risk that you could be Maddie, Avie or their mother, I would like you all to know exactly why I do have concerns for Everly, so I will pop back in a while and go through each point in detail.

Just because you know one person with Down Syndrome does not make you an expert. I am NOT an expert, but I am proficient in my job and can detect when things deviate from normal. I have seen things in Everly that have caused me concern and that has nothing to do with not being a Maddie fan.

Also to add that Down Syndrome is a genetic condition and is not caused by a lack of prenatal care. It occurs in babies born to mothers of all age groups though mothers of advanced maternal age are still in the highest risk for Trisomy disorders ( and many other disorders ) because the quality of their eggs decrease with age. DS is a chromosomal error caused during the division of the egg cell or sperm cell though so is not always the result of an aging egg ( older mother ). It can be any faulty egg or sperm.
