Not all of Bonnie’s body issues stem from her family, surely. She really does need to take some responsibility. When you look at her older vlogs, it shows a young healthy woman who is capable of losing weight on her own, none of the special fibrous fat she banged on about. YouTube made her money, made her lazy, and the inevitable happened. Trouble with Bonnie is she’s an extreme. Extreme nails, extreme lashes, extreme hair extensions, extreme emotions. She can do whatever she likes with her body, but she’s a damned hypocrite if after all the “help” she preaches body positivity.YTIG60 wrote:I was looking back at her last summer IG pictures, I recognize she was miserable since she told her viewers she was, but she still was a pretty mom in her thirties before her surgery. I believe if it were not for her family who don't have weight issues, Ellie and her mom, she would have been more comfortable with how she looked before surgery. I do think she is trying to limit sugar etc.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 11:15 am I do think it would be really hard to have body positivity with people picking your body apart every day. I understand the criticism of her hypocrisy, I do, but I also think this board has an intensity and a level of body shaming that is worse than any other I’ve seen. I feel like some of the comments are intentionally mean just to try and further any insecurities she may have.
Does she need to preach body positivity when she clearly doesn’t feel that way? No. Do we need to constantly body shame and then criticize her lack of body positivity though? I don’t think so. That too seems hypocritical imo.

I would be curious to know if Joel has had any influence on her weight-image since he is short and does work out.
As far as Joel is concerned, he seems to see (and good for him) her as a goddess, and I can’t ever imagine him criticizing her appearance.
