I see difference and similarities in have breast augmentation and liposuction. Both are elective procedures that come with risk of infections and other problems as seen with Bonnie's complications. However, Bonnie will still need to change her diet and add exercise in order to maintain her results and you will not. The problem is I think Bonnie is at risk with gaining weight back since she didn't look at the causes of her weight gain. That is something you didn't need to address prior to or after your surgery.queenc13 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 7:29 am
I mean, I have a boob job. I don’t regret my decision for a single second, and love by boobs every single day I wake up with them. I literally hated my chest before. Does that mean I’m damaging my daughter? Does that mean she’ll grow up to hate her chest and think she’ll only be beautiful if she has surgery like me?
I don’t think so. I preach body autonomy, personal decisions, and a healthy, happy lifestyle, whatever that means for my children. I don’t see how it’s any different from Bonnie. She made a choice not to lose the weight in her own and get surgery. She’s not running around and telling Olivia to hop on a treadmill or get surgery because she needs to change. I don’t really see how my surgery and Bonnie’s surgery are different other than I couldn’t have worked harder to grow myself a chest and she could have worked harder at losing the weight, and I don’t see how her losing the weight naturally and then saying she’s happier thinner vs her having the surgery and saying she’s happier thinner is any different or more damaging to Olivia.
For her viewers, they may find her choice unrelatable since insurance doesn't cover either procedure. Mothers are role models and they play a significant part in how daughters see themselves and Bonnie seems to be affected with her mom's idea of having thin daughters.
