OMG I get she had surgery but acting like you're on your death bed. Dolly you're scaring your kids. She says she is doing so much better than the last time. Can you imagine what those six months were like for those kids last surgery? Olivia said she didn't want to kiss her being filmed. They better start taking their kids feeling into consideration. Or big problems ahead.

This is a bit confusing and you see this vlog was filmed on Saturday or the afternoon of yesterday's vlog (11 Day Recovery Update) with three minutes of a nine minute vlog showing everyone kiss a "so tired" Bonnie goodbye that was different. Why did Bonnie say Joel wasn't going to help his brother move (a vlog Joel edited) when he did later that day and dropped Boston off at the party. I am guessing Bonnie didn't pick Boston up from the party and someone else brought him home?

Barf...barf...barf! Ew! A sweet peck or a nice single smooch would’ve been sufficient but of course Bonnie had to be creepy. Really didn’t need to see Bonnie and Joel kissing either. Poor Olivia looks mortified. When they first walked into the bedroom and Bonnie was laying in bed like that completely out of it and high on painkillers....WOW! Did Joel even bring the dog with him? She can’t even watch the dog? Also really not a fan of the way Joel treated Lincoln after he accidentally tripped and fell in the bedroom scene. Lincoln’s reaction said a lot. Lincoln looked petrified. It’s not Lincoln’s fault six humans were crammed into one tiny space. In my opinion Joel responded quite aggressively and grabbed him by his arm just for accidentally tripping. He still a toddler/Young preschooler for crying out loud! Kids fall from time to time. I don’t even think he asked if Lincoln was alright he just reprimanded him immediately he had absolutely no patience whatsoever.

Joel absolutely should have helped his brother move. He could have called somebody to come to the house for a couple of hours and babysat baby Bonnie but he chose to sleep in instead. They don't seem to have any problem finding help when they go on their endless trips or date nights. Joel's family must be disgusted by him.

More like babysat Boston.

Seriously though is this really a normal dosage for pain pills? I’ve been around others on them for various reasons. Is Joel giving her the actual prescribed amount or more on purpose? Like is there a range and she is always taking the maximum?

Like the tonsil video was alarming on its own. She doesn’t handle them well at all.

When they were still in LA they said she was taking half the dose that she was last surgery. No idea if that's still true or if that was just initially and now she's on "maintenance dose". The dose she's getting is way too high for her at this point in recovery. Maybe in addition to her special fibrous fat she's a special hyper-responder to the meds and her compassionate doctor should be gentle on her dose as well... Ugh. It's terrible.

I'm guessing most of us don't like this sensation of being tired or out of it from medication, will cut back the dosage and perhaps add an over the counter anti-inflammatory. Sleeping during the day will not help sleeping at night. With both of her surgeries this past year, I've wondered if the surgeon has watched their vlogs during her recoveries? Joel had a long surgery and you see him having a good amount of pain saying the day after surgery it was tender and there was pressure with swelling, but you didn't see him behave like Bonnie has on day eleven. With Bonnie, Joel does a lot of explaining (nerves etc) during vlogs why she is in so much pain.

My Mother had a mastectomy (breast cancer) and took nothing stronger than over the counter meds, once she got home.
No wonder those Griffith girls can't get that epidural in fast enough when they have babies. Zero pain tolerance.

I’m guessing Joe told Bonnie he was not going to help his brother moved just to shut her up at 5 AM. I couldn’t imagine being so mentally weak that I couldn’t take care of myself. Addiction must suck your mom gets inside

I mean, pain tolerance isn't always something you can control. I think for her, it's more the expectation that everything should be 100% pain free. Bonnie is not even trying to go without the strong meds, 11 days post surgery. Incomprehensible.

Though if as a kid her mom didn't even take her to the doctor for a week after breaking her wrist... Who knows what that does to your perception of pain and ability to deal with it. I really think a lot of these Griffiths issues are very deep and rooted in their childhood. Still no excuse for her to be taking the meds and everyone around her enabling her, but still.

Yes, she did. IIRC, the hole happened before they started vlogging.

Personally, I don't know whether I believe that she's hit Joel. I tend to think that Joel used to fight back just as hard as Bonnie did then, not so much now.

I know that she seems to have a temper; a temper which I believe is brought on when she feels lack of control.

If I remember correctly, she kicked a hole in the cabinet because the kids were aggravating her. Goes to show you what a temper she has. I wonder if they spank their kids. I'm guessing yes.

Funny how the Griffith girls were all induced early for no medical reason. They probably didn't want to go into labor at home and have to deal with any pain.

I just cannot get over how incredibly irresponsible her doctor is. Most states have highly specific laws detailing the amounts of pills that can be prescribed for acute pain. I just cannot comprehend how she is getting access to so many pills. There is no way the surgeon is following safe and legal prescribing practices. He is completely complicit in this. As an ER nurse, we have to Narcan multiple people every single day. I’ve had conversations with so many families asking “how did this happen to us?”. So many people from “good” families getting caught up in addiction and none of them realize it until it’s too late. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard that it started with a script for my broken ankle or my surgery. It’s devastating. I don’t blame these people because they initially don’t realize what these pills are doing to them because a doctor prescribed them and they should be safe, and by the time they’re addicted it’s too late. But Bonnie KNEW what she was getting in to. She was already addicted for 6 months just a year ago and somehow successfully got off them. She CHOSE to do this again. CHOSE to see the same pill happy surgeon. To see the level of irresponsibility from the surgeon and level of denial from Bonnie and family is just jaw dropping.

I know others have said this, but I think Bonnie loves the drugs. Going from totally sober Molly Mormon to endless bottles of pills can create an addict. Lisa Ling did a documentary on Mormons addicted to drugs because they aren't allowed to drink.

I agree Joel doesn’t come across to me as innocent at all, his niceness in the vlogs seems insincere and fake. The voice he uses with the kids on the vlog sounds fake as well. I can’t really explain it but he is not a good person. He rules that house and let’s Bonnie think she rules the house. Look how she does his laundry she said he likes his shirts dried just so and is picky about the collars. He also strictly controls her pills but she still seems high as a kite every vlog.
I fell terribly bad for all these YouTube kids. Their parents act one way in front of the camera and completely different off camera.

This! I used to find Joel incredibly sweet, hardworking, and a good role model. Now ? Yikes. Facade.

He has always made the decisions in that house but chooses which battles he feels are most important. Bonnie has given us glimpses of this.

I'm SO glad you mentioned the shirt thing... I wanted to discuss that. We talk about Bonnie's spending, but Joel has several $60 t-shirts. Who TF needs $60 t-shirts? She says that Joel has always been picky about his shirts but I don't remember him being specific about clothing before. The man that used to have an old beat up car and a flip phone no longer exists.

I do think he had more control when he was the sole provider, and the dynamic shifted slightly when Bonnie was bringing in money. Now they're both home 24/7 and that has to create serious tension. Joel controls far more than we know behind the scenes.

He could've created his own channel. He could've made the 'Manly Things' repair/how to videos, he could've had his own sponsors, he could've even taken on a few jobs to film... but he was too lazy to do it and now the audience isn't there. What happened to the laundromat? The car wash? He does NOTHING. I'd imagine he feels the need for control even stronger than Bonnie at this point.

I always wonder how his parents feel. They seem like lovely, hardworking people.

I was wondering about that as well. It's unlikely he's buying $60 mens t-shirts in Logan (so small they don't even have a Target!), so is he special ordering fancy tees from places like Nordstrom or Urban Outfitters?? What a douche move. He works from home and does yard work. Why would he need $60 tees? Who buys $60 tees??

Maybe it's Bonnie doing the shopping and forcing Joel to wear what she wants him to wear. Maybe she doesn't even tell him the prices. But if she's really buying all those expensive clothes, then Joel needs to cut up the CCs. They are wasting so much money lately.

Others have also said this, but FFS, Bonnie, buy a freakin' drying rack!

As well, I agree she probably got some boob work done.
