That whole exchange was irritating. If I talked to my husband like that, he would stand right up and tell me where to go. Dan just sat there and let her chide him like a naughty schoolboy. He didn’t even have clothes on, so he seemed extra vulnerable. Grow the fuck up, Dan! And put a leash on your dog while you’re at it. She’s out of control.

One thing I will say about Dan is stuff like not putting the mattress away for WEEKS etc is masked as procrastination but I think it’s a passive aggressive power play. I think that’s how he handles conflict, and I can see that driving Elle completely insane to the point where she belittles him. Then the cycle just repeats over and over.

But they go to THERAPY and are the HAPPIEST THEY’VE EVER BEEN.

During today's video around the 13:30 mark Elle goes on this very natural/not staged soapbox speech about how she will be able to help Blankette with her own children one day etc etc and it's ALL stuff that she will in theory be able to do with Forde and Cohen. It's only noteworthy because Blankette is a girl. It makes me so sad for Forde and Cohen. I imagine them watching this footage when they're older and feeling so jealous

Seems to me she specifically set up today's video to show her parenting her "newborn" only. I thought she's a SAHM of 3 and an adopted dog? If her videos actually show her real life her other children should be in the picture especially that they are home for the summer. Unless... this is HER actual real life and she hands over the boys to Dan or another caregiver as much as possible so she can focus on baby girl and her YouTube career.

Recommending the very affordable le creuset French press I see... she’s SO relatable

At this point, I feel like she is such a spoiled brat and only buys the MOST expensive shit purely to rub it in peoples faces. Don’t get me wrong, I am not jealous of her life, my husband makes $300k a year and we live in a gorgeous home and drive high end British SUV’s, but everything else is bargained. And we both attribute our financial success, in large part, because I am so frugal with our money and bargain shop for majority of our things. I would love Elle’s content a lot more if it was more along the lines of “we make good money, we spend wisely so we can splurge on other big things (cars and house). Here are my tips on buying brand name items at a fraction of the cost and how you can too!” Unfortunately for Elle, it’s not about sharing insider secrets to get great goods at a fraction, she legitimately just wants to appear rich and above everyone else, and that just does NOT sit right with me. I would take, I think, a pretty accurate guess that her and I are in a very similar economic class, my house perhaps slightly more than hers because I contribute financially as well, and I don’t think dan makes as much as my husband, but if you compared directly based on belonging and spending habits, it would tell a very different story. But I truly believe this comes down to Elle’s mental health, she’s so self destructive and needs to appear perfect. This is one issue she needs to repair, and STAT! It’s going to harm her entire family and financial future in the long run, and as someone who could afford what she’s pulling off, quite frankly her excess DISGUSTS me! I truly can’t with this show off brat anymore! She makes my blood boil!

I love how she justifies every unnecessary purchase. This time she says it's because the stainless steel affects the taste of the coffee. Well guess what, the Le Crueset french press still has stainless steel parts and filter mesh. No difference between a glass french press with stainless steel filter mesh. The only big difference with glass is the Le Crueset will keep the coffee warmer and of course, aEsThEtICs. I would really like her more if she can be honest and just say she bought because it looks better and she doesn't care how much she spends on a French Press.

It's kind of funny, but a while ago, way before Blankette made her appearance, I used to be convinced that Elle hated Forde. If not hated, he definitely was not her favored child. To me, it was crazy apparent in every video. She was impatient with him, disinterested, etc.

As Cohen gets older, I'm realizing that it had nothing to do with Forde personally. Forde was just at that "age." You know, where kids start talking a thousand miles a minute, bounce off the walls, and have the potential to start driving you really crazy. Forde was just acting like a normal child and compared to Cohen who was a baby, it was clear Elle favored him. He was too small to talk, to walk, to do anything, really. Now that Cohen is getting older, I'm seeing that she is impatient with both boys, but I always see more impatience towards Forde. Also interesting that he is basically Dan's twin, so maybe that plays into it?

This just becomes more apparent in a video like the one from yesterday. She has three children, but from the way that video was edited, it looked like the boys were merely visiting family members rather than Brighton's brothers. I'm not sure why she is finding it so hard to include them in everything. Her voiceover part was just wayyyyy over the top for me. Like, we get it - you had a female child. I feel like everything Elle has done since having Brighton from farting to dressing is now because she has a daughter.

I have a ceramic french press I make my partner's coffee with. Got it at a garage sale for $2US. Matches perfectly to my LeCreuset-look-alike butter bell which I bought new for $15.

I'm with ya, Margie. Makes my skin crawl she tries to preach to people in my economic class(as a household we probably bring in $50k-$70k a year, comfortable but I have to be attentive with money especially since the nature of my IT business means lots of income fluctuations) and lower but spends the way she does. The hate-watching is getting addictive, though.

Oh I’m here for hate watching. Honestly, the way this bitch acts, it’s so obvious that she’s mentally unwell. It will be a hard reality for her to face when her marriage falls apart and with that, her entire world and identity, because at this rate “high end housewife” is her identity. I am SO here for the breakdown when Dan finally decides to grow a pair and leave her. She’s so fucking appalling, and even more so with her obnoxious behaviour now that she has a female child. This spoiled brat needs to be shut down, and quick!

I secretly hope Dan finds a woman who gives him the respect and attention he deserves and he ends up in a torrid affair and leaves Elle and her dumpster fire of a life behind for “the other woman”. That’s some YouTube shit I’d like to see!!

I definitely hate watch too. Often just to see the absolute crap she comes up with that she markets as SO FUNNY or SO AUTHENTIC - which is blatantly neither.

I am most definitely NOT jealous of her life. We aren’t poor but we’re working class. Lower middle-class probably, but I actually love and enjoy my husband and my kid. I look forward to spending time with them. I was very happy and excited the day I got married (and I’m STILL happy and excited to see them) I would trade FOR my life ANY DAY.

I think that’s it, she wants her audience to envy her. To wish they could be just like her but she’s almost idolizing herself and that grosses my out.

I don’t think Dan has it in him to have an affair. MAYBE he’ll grow a pair and either tell her to ship up or ship out but I think his strong beliefs will keep him dealing with her longer than most would. Especially since I feel it was probably her bringing up divorce earlier (HE wasn’t affectionate enough, HE didn’t communicate, etc. their reasonings sounded very Elle-centric)

Also - I found that bath talk-over felt very unnatural. It didn’t seem genuine to me like she was saying it knowing the camera was recording. Yes - she says all these things to her daughter like it’s not possible with her sons but something about it felt staged to me.

I honestly think Elle would be more successful on YouTube if she was a single mom raising 3 kids while co-parenting with Dan. She would cut back on her outrageous spending and would actually have better content. “How to co-parent during a separation”. “Dating in your 30’s ”. “My ex-husband has found a new wife”. Waaaaaay more interesting than watching some chick folding laundry.

Was Elle never taught how to squat properly? It looked like she was trying not to sit on a public toilet seat while her arms were doing some weird interpretive dance. No wonder she has always looked super flabby and skinny fat.

The way she says “I am SO hungry” is a direct lift from her BFF Alexandra. She speaks with a lot of inflections and Elle has started copying them pretty much exactly haha.

I don’t even know where to begin on that voiceover. So fake and staged.

Another flop of a video. A full 24 hours with a newborn which is really just a video all about Elle except she nurses a whole bunch.

I haven’t watched her videos recently, I’ve been working from home so no long commute to binge watch YT. I tried to watch the most recent after see you ladies comments but it’s just too boring. I made it to the squats LOL no surprise she’s a flabby mess. Use some actual weights and learn actual form, Elle.
