Yup! Mormon mom is mashed potatoes mom. Who is also Ireland vacation mom. And flew to Washington and took her to get her nails done mom.

I dont always see eye-to-eye with my mother. She is a lot more conservative than I am. And I really didn't get along with her as a teenager. But I sure dont shut her out if my life or disrespect her the way Haleigh does.

I would also understand if it was a toxic relationship. But it's Haleigh. We all know its petty - after all, she complains that her mom doesnt make mashed potatoes right.

I don’t want to judge her too hard for her relationship with her birth mom. My family relations isn’t the best either. But I think we all see that her birth mom is trying - she went to her wedding, paid for her vacation, visited her after X was born. I didn’t see her step mom to do that. I think H. just struggles with females in general - birth mom, mother in law, very little female friends, social media jealousy of female influencers...

I agree! I wonder if so much of it has to do with her skewed perception of romantic relationships. That she focused solely on finding a lover that she totally missed the aspect of her life that involved forming friendships with other young girls.

It's very telling when you cant manage any friendships at all. And it's really sad that shes so disrespectful to her mother. Like I said, my mom and I hardly ever agree. But she has become one of my best friends. I can go to her about ANYTHING and know that she'll love me (and I'll love her) no matter what. Even if we don't have the same perspective

It looks like her mom has tried to foster than sort of relationship with Haleigh and she shuts it down over and over again.

I think what attracted Haleigh to becoming LDS is the structure and control. The LDS church is much different than your average Christian church. Garments, temple, tithing, church roles, dietary restrictions, purity culture, pro-big families culture, the community, etc. She was raised Christian, but that wasn’t enough for her.

It all goes back to control with her. She needed CJ to control her appetite, how she wears her makeup, and to have his same beliefs. She needs to have the church control her as well because it gives her a sense of security.

And I am by no means insulting members of the LDS church! I’m Christian myself, and I’m just merely explaining why Haleigh chose LDS specifically over any other Christian denomination.

I can see that. A lot of people think they have testimonies but they’re just comfortable in the culture because they don’t have their own identity. I do think Haleigh does have a testimony though. I’ve felt the spirit in a couple of her videos. It’s unfortunate though that unless she has the Holy Ghost helping her out, we see her for who she is: dumb, slutty, and rude. That’s why her church videos have better views and ratings.

I find that such a sad aspect of LDS culture, imagine being in fear of losing your marriage because you changed your mind about how you want to worship God, or you just don't believe in Jospeh Smith anymore. I really feel sorry for her on that front. I doubt CJ would stand by a wife that has a faith crisis. That's not real love, that's totally fucked up.

Either way, I don't think she should be talking about it on insta like she is so proud. It is a CHILD and to me that was way too adult to talk about how she can fit into such small clothes.

I'm kind of calling BS on the shorts thing. Unless Ireland is stunted in growth, those shorts do not belong to a 6 month old baby.

And yeah, shes going to give her daughter huge body issues! We have a generation of women who are so stunted emotionally by things that dont matter. Pretty, ugly, blonde, brunette, make up, etc. Shes objectifying her daughter.

Granted, i do think it's important to tell your kids they are cute or handsome or whatever. It helps build self esteem. But you should be focusing on actual character strengths, too. I feel ike she focuses so much on Ireland's looks that that's going to be all her self worth revolves around. Looking pretty.

Women have come along way in the past 60 years. Women are recognized for their intelligence, contributions, etc. Its not all about being pretty and putting out for your husband because its what he needs. Open your legs and shut your mouth.

Sure, its absolutely ok to be a stay at home mom if you choose (and you aren't mooching off the government in order to do). Haleigh was born into the wrong generation. She should have been alive 100 years ago. When women were expected to stay at home and squirt out babies left and right

It’s actually not all that crazy Ireland can squish into baby shorts. They have an elastic waistband + room for a diaper and tend to run big. My almost 2 year old is on the small side and can still wear some of his 6-12mo shorts with a diaper. I’m sure at 3 without a diaper he’d still be able to squish into them for a picture. It’s not “impressive” it’s just how they are made.

Youtube videos have become her therapist at this point. I don’t understand why CJ couldn’t come to the kid’s birthday party. He sees his own kids for about an hour or two during the week and has several activities outside of school that he does to keep busy. Haleigh has no outlets outside of being a mom and housewife, yet he can’t manage to do one thing that supports her.

Granted, she didn’t go about it the right way, but there’s such a double standard in their marriage. I genuinely feel bad for her that she was desperate and insecure enough to marry such a jerk. He didn’t attend Ireland’s birthday, so why would he go to her friends for theirs?

I find it so weird/creepy when she compares herself to Joseph Smith, saying that they both receive(d) backlash because whenever good things happen, there is opposition. She literally views herself as a martyr because she gets hate for abusing the welfare system and having babies she can’t afford and telling all women they need to have babies even if they don’t want them (ever heard of Andrea Yates?). People tell her she should vaccinate her kids, people told him he shouldn’t marry 14 year olds. Both just fighting the good fight I guess

I can't believe that in this world of vast information. And with so may solid sources of concrete marital advice and help, that ANYONE would give Merit to H!
A young girl who's admitted to a marriage chucked full of petty insecurities and unhappiness. WHY!
She's probably one of the last people on the planet I'd look to for advice on much of anything, ESPECIALLY marriage!
And I didn't watch her latest video, nor fo I plan to. She's a complete waist of my time.
