She is seriously tracing letters?! At nine years old?! You have got to be kidding. I wonder what kind of accountability she has for homeschooling. There are rules, laws, regulations about what you can do with your kids, because not providing them basic education is actual neglect. How has no one from the state or education board come in and stop this shit?!

She continues to show how selfish she is. She buys things for her kid to do so she can walk around her house and look at herself. I’m starting to think she has true narcissistic personality disorder or something else. However, she may very well just be lazy and selfish and I do not want to let her get off that easy!!

I'm glad that they are looking into putting her into part time school next year. I think Savvy is going to get a taste of it and she's going to want to go full time.

I have nothing against homeschool, but unless you do it right I just don't think the kids get the same amount of social/common world knowledge.

I completely agree that if they are blowing through things so quickly then she needs to be given harder lessons!

Also I saw in a comment that she said she grades everything, but she doesn't have to report it to anyone. Where I live people that homeschool still work with a public school so that your kid can be included in activities and technically graduate (they can walk at graduation, but most didn't since they didn't know anyone). Is that not how it works for everywhere else?
Where I live, there are strict rules for homeschooling and like yours, it is in conjunction with a school district and is state regulated. There is a ton of accountability put on the students AND the parents, so Ashley and Savannah have it so easy if she doesn't have to turn anything in to the state or have little to no accountability. How is this girl going to cope come university time? Some universities will look at her cirriculum and turn her away if they don't approve of the ones she learned from because it simply isn't meeting standards. I feel for Savy, I really do. It is not doing anyone any favors besides Lady Lazy.

Ashley will actually let her do part time? That would actually be valuable for her instead of wasting her time tracing at home. I wonder if she were to test in, what grade level she would be at? I guarantee she is behind.

Ashley loves to reference the “a place to nest” channel. Becky puts her heart and soul into her homeschooling. She is a teacher to her daughters. It’s insulting for Ashley to act like she takes any advice from Becky.

Edited to add that the last few times I watched Becky she seemed to treat her daughters like they were little girls when one is a teenager I'm pretty sure!

She mentioned near the end of the video that they are looking into an option for next year where they would do the homeschool work (worksheets and actual lessons) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then on Tuesday and Thursday Savvy would go to a school (through a church it sounded like) so she could do projects, field trips, activities, etc and be with other kids.

IMHO, Becky acts even holier than thou than Ashley so I'm not surprised that Ashley considers her a role model.

I agree that she is allowing her to blow through her studies way too fast. She will never absorb anything that she is supposed to be learning because Ashley is not making her take the time to actually learn it. Other kids that are in school are probably WAY past tracing letters (which is done in kindergarten) and are doing many subjects in one eight hour day. Her reasoning is so if there are chores Savy didn't get too that morning then she can take a break to do it. THAT IS NOT how you teach a child. Chase is not a man if he is allowing this rubbish to go on. Pathetic that this is how lightly she is taking her daughter's education. Can the poor baby even add and subtract? so sad. Ashley should not be a so called influencer and other mom's are crazy for feeding into her stupidity.

She's probably blowing smoke up our asses again to save from backlash. Part time school? is she going to college or PreK? :-o

I haven't watched the homeschool video yet and probably won't but from what I see here it seems like Ashley is a HORRIBLE home school parent! You can not just plop your kid down in front of a computer and expect them to learn on their own! It's fine to use a computer curriculum as a starting point especially for hard subjects like math but there needs to be some sort of supplemental instructions! How is she even sure she is mastering the lesson? If she doesn't have to report it how are they making sure she is on grade level? I would be curious to see where she would place in a real school. I bet she is at least one year behind. And you dont let your kid just decide not to do science if they aren't into it! I'm sorry but that is teaching her no life lessons. You do what is required whether you want to or not!

It is a good thing she doesn't teach. Her grammar, wrong use of the word "too" and sentence structure suck.

Her post on Instagram is saying she is teaching Savannah life lessons. You taught her today that if something doesn’t go her way she can walk away from it and not worry about it. Ok yeah work is stressful so I’m going to go home now. Great life lessons Ashley. 🙄 that’s how you get fired.

As a past homeschooler myself, I'm not watching this crap show. Ashley is ALL about control. There is NO way she's allowing Savannah to "go to school".

Oh, she's teaching life lessons alright! "This is how we give ourselves early heart and brain issues. Keep eating the sugar and processed junk food, honey!"

Wow - how can any parent intentionally do that to a child!! Seriously, this is borderline neglect and psychological abuse.

I don't understand how all of those women praised her on today's video and thinks what Ashley is doing is great. Too many bored housewives that might need to go to work because apparently staying at home and watching Ash's videos have shrunk their brains and depleted the common sense cell.

Ashley should NOT be emulated.

But: WTF is Chase doing by letting his daughter's education be dictated by a woman who can't be bothered to sit there and go over testing? WTF is Chase he doing making it even easier for her to be lazy as she buys video to 'buy' herself free time at Savy's expense? WTF is Chase doing not letting his daughter get a great school education to go on and be the best adult she can be?

My biggest question is: WTF are you doing Chase?? Grow some damn balls and do better for your daughter.

Maybe he is just letting her hang herself in public so if they divorce it is a simple decision about custody? A far reach, I know, but he looks less and less comfortable. But yeah, get out the ladder and grab that jar on the shelf with your balls in them and reattach them as you find your spine. Not that he has to be the decision maker, and there is likely 'discussion' around decisions, but parenting cannot be a dictatorship of one directing the other what to do and how to do it. Then again, maybe that is what he wants. . .keep them locked up and silo'd (also a stretch, but hey - why not explore all possibilities).

Her life is picture perfect on instagram; on YT is a trainwreck. Interesting dichotomy.

So, I made a comment on her latest video- the home school one. Basically I said that having taught for 30 years in Canada, doling out worksheets would be heavily frowned upon in the education world. You'd be considered a bad teacher actually. Worksheets do have their place now and then of course but not a steady diet. I mentioned that there are so many more creative ways to teach but that I understood with only one student being more creative might be a challenge. I also said I knew she likely had to "teach to the test" because in America they rely, sadly, a lot on standardized testing. (They exist in Canada as well but are not heavily relied on to measure students or teachers) Well, she didn't like my comments. I'm actually surprised she even saw them given the new comment monitor person they've hired. Basically she said that "Oklahoma has no regulations" and that she can teach in a way that her daughter learns best. Translation: teaching more creatively and teaching critical thinking (yes even for a 9 year old) would severely cut into her video making and counter wiping time and actually make her work. I mean if she actually had to plan creative, engaging lessons herself that taught critical thinking or involved (gasp!) an actual book to read, she might only be able to wipe her counters down twice a day. Can't have that! I guess today was the last straw for me with her: a house with no books, no vegetables, no fresh food much other than occasionally fruit, pizza and crap every day to eat, a boring work sheet curriculum and the same videos over and over of her cleaning her already spotless counters. OMG!! Ok. Rant over now lol.

LOL that was MY post! I mentioned how worksheets were a path to worst teacher ever. She didn't like my comments clearly. So glad I don't live in Oklahoma! I ranted longer about this in a separate post.
