This is what I don’t understand with Youtubers, moreso the ones who quit their day jobs, it means they also forfeit their health insurance and retirement pension contributions (we call it Superannuation in Australia, I don’t really know how the US system works). They should be putting money away for this themselves as well as for Emma, college or really just her part of the earnings that she contributed to! And instead they go and put all their money (allegedly) on an overpriced house. Apparently Roach’s mum is an accountant (well she “studied accountancy”), she shouldn’t let this happen.

According to her they have IRA. They did show them going to their financial advisor in one video.

Having a financial advisor is nothing. USAA bank offers them for free
We have one too because we have an investment account but are by no means rich. So anyone could have one if you bank with USAA.
My point was that if they are telling the truth they do have retirement accounts. I was responding to the post who said they were putting all there money in the house.

I guess we all have to learn somehow, some have to learn the hard way. And I guess most of us weren't aa cocky, entitled, and self-absorbed as these two are. Some people shouldn't have a social media following because they can't handle it. Goes straight to their heads. Lookin at you Rash.

It won’t surprise me in a year they put it up for sale. A lot of first time home buyers don’t really know what they want or need until they have their first home. They just better hope they don’t end up under water. Everything they want to do with that house outside is going to be about 300k. grand. I won’t be shocked if they get a home equity line to pay for it. Which will make them not have any equity if they want to sell.

I believe she said it is where the dishwasher used to be. When they redid it and put the island in they moved it to the island. A wine fridge would be kind of cool.

I just realized that they have to install lighting/ceiling fan with lights in Emma’s room and probably in the second bedroom. Only the master has a ceiling fan/light fixture.
Seriously how is the house worth 640k? There’s so much these two have to do with it to get it to where they want it.

it blows my mind, really, it smells fishy and I'm not talking about the garage. why wouldn't they go fir something cheaper with the stuff they need? why the rush?
YES! Why would they buy THIS house...unless they got a killer deal??
It’s funny; during one of their long “never going to find a home” rants, Justin said they were “SO WORRIED” to buy now bc there might be another housing collapse. Then, they end up buying a money pit that’s overpriced by at least 100k. Making those money moves! #DaveRamseyYall

This is how you can tell it was cheap with repainted old cabinets because if they were new, they would’ve put a cabinet there. And if the remodel wasn’t cheap, the sellers would’ve filled the space with said wine fridge
I hate to give either one of those dumbasses credit but Justine since the start has been pretty level headed on the house. When Rachelle was hard core pushing at Keren’s wedding he said you will get it in time we just need to save longer, then he tried to get her to get land and slowly build, he said the one house was too much which Rachelle of course claims it cost too much for it sizes( 550k for 2500 sqft nice yard vs 640k for 2000 sqft and an unfinished house no yard) not for her millionaire ass, he was very worried about the housing market. His parents moved out of state I think they might have lost money on a house and he knows a house in CA is a big risk because cost of living is so high and stuff isn’t worth what people are paying plus with a lot of big companies making 5 year plans to leave CA trouble is coming of course property always gains again if you can ride it out. Unless Rachelle used his past or her being the bread winner and forced him I can’t see him being ok with that house. He was pretty excited about that Texas house. They both hate this house and Justine didn’t want to jump into a house. This house is definitely not anything they found and made a choice for. There is no way Rachelle turned down the other 50 houses cheaper with more space and nice yards for that. I know someone said there was proof it wasn’t the church house but not buying that. It is the church house, her mom got it as an investment she paid all the down payments they pay the mortgage and do repairs then have a share in it later, or it is a rental. I still think it is the church house or rental because they would be in a “ picture worthy” house while saving then she can still run to mommy in a few years.plus she can make up some clickbait about mom near death selling my dream home emotional. I think they got in a place hoping it would up their views and sponsorships, then if they lucked up and got pregnant they would be set especially if it is miracle twins.
The only way that house would have been worth 640 in my opinion is with:
-hardwood floors (not the crappy laminate)
-awkward kitchen hole filled
-1 bathtub
-shower and toilet separated in the mater
-a door to the closet in the master
-laundry room
-updated garage (doesn’t have to be nice, but finished would be good)
-grass
-pool
-privacy fence
Then MAYBE then would it be worth that price tag. That house is a 300/350 house in my area.

Wouldn't it be a bit presumptuous when selling a house to install a wine fridge? It just seems so specific to a particular taste... like assuming everyone drinks wine.
I don't drink, so I'd end up taking something like that out anyway. Maybe a trash compactor (some people still have those! Lol) or just fill it in with a cabinet would have been best. It is weird that they just left it open... like how much would one cabinet to fit in that one spot really have cost to install and paint to match the rest of the cabinetry? They must have had a strict deadline or budget on that remodel to just leave that space open, for the buyer to figure out what to do with. It's possible they just ran out of time on what to do with that space... which I guess is a minor thing... but you would think after doing such a major overhaul on the kitchen (curious what it looked like before) they would have had it 100% complete. It doesn't look like a cheap update to me (I'm no expert, but over all it does look decent to me)... but being slightly incomplete is weird. I guess if I was really in love with the rest of the house, I could overlook that minor thing... but would be a bit annoyed.

Where I’m from (Louisiana) and where I live now (Washington), a lot of homes come with a wine fridge in that price range or an actual place to put your wine. I thought that was what the space had previously and they took it to bring their new home. That’s why I thought it was that. But I posted pics awhile back on what the kitchen looked like before. But it must have been way before the current cabinets were in. If you google their address and switch over to pictures you will probably find it.
This doesn’t make sense to me, any sane person would be scared buying a home. You know there’s always a risk of losing it (bigger risk the more expensive it is obviously). My husband and I have the downpayment for a home, can use the VA loan, and are still scared as hell to buy a home within our price range which is half of what they spent on theirs. We actually have a concrete income to back it up. That’s why I’m dead set on them not affording this house. There’s too many red flags and fishy things that make you question why this house out of all the others. Must have been a deal they couldn’t pass up.
This has probably been mentioned before, but why in the world does Emma have so many pacifiers in her crib? Not only is she too old for them anyway, but who even needs that many pacifiers???
Anyone find it funny her mom was there a couple days ago just as they “closed” on the house. I’m thinking her mom definitely needed to be there. She said her mom was moving an elder lady in with them in their new home in Texas but I don’t buy that completely. I’m thinking her mom needed to be there during closing because her name is on the house maybe?
I think the story just got told. This went 2 ways the parents went in and got it Justin’s dad is there and Rachelle’s mom they would need to be there to sign. The other and what I think happened their was 3 or 4 kids that owned the church house the oldest was hoarder the other kids all live away. To me it sounds like the other kids voted let’s slap some paint on and get rid of house of course the hoarder still legally would own 1/3 or 1/4 of the house. The other kids just wanted cash and it is all profit so any money over the cheap remodel good. I think the hoarder maybe went to rachelle’s church and they heard about it got the other kids to agree if mommy takes in the older sibling they can get in the house and Rachelle does the rent to own and slowly pay. Justine said they couldn’t afford 500k,Rachelle’s check list that went down the toilet, they were worried about the 300.00 dr bill and 200.00 rent increase. It may be me living in Fl and seeing the crazy shit kids will do when their parents die for some free cash. You can’t complain about an extra 600.00-1k a month for nothing. They probably had to get a loan to pay the remodel cost and pay the rest like rent. I have seen million dollar homes sell for 400k so kids can have fast free cash. Of course where I am there is a ton of rich old people so maybe just a thing here. There is so much weird shit coming out. There is definitely a lot of hidden pieces but we all know Rachelle is dumb and it will come out. I can’t see a bank loaning 640 for that pos house either if it foreclosed they would never get that money back on that dump.
Who the hell pays 640k for a house that is literally falling apart? The weather stripping is bad, the threshold bad, the garage had water damage their was killz painted on half the beams, one photo posted here shows what looks to be fire damage, the hole where the dishwasher was, the crappy bathroom set up the nasty yard. If Justine was talented and was in construction maybe and they got the house for 400.

Why are they wasting time putting all the clothes from the drawers in garbage bags? Anytime I moved I just left the clothes in the drawers and took the drawers out of the dresser. If they are worried about them getting dirty they could lay a garage bag over top of them. They are just making more work for themselves.
