Wow, Alexandra's views are up there! Good for her.

I just watched Simply Allie's What I eat in a day vid and I loved it. It was simply that, she showed and talked about what she ate with some cute snippets of her kids. Also, what she ate is sensible for a busy breastfeeding mom. Eggs, PB, avocado toast and a hearty Instapot dinner will fill bellies up and so much more relatable to a lot of moms like me. Elle's potato and kale wrap doesn't sound very appetizing to me. The contrast to Elle's video is jarring. Elle adds so much fake fluff in her videos. And this is why I think people who once clicked subscribed to her eventually don't watch her content.

Good lord the awful crotch munching pj pants have a matching top.
Poor forde couldn’t even get a hug in the morning, he was told to go right back upstairs and do his “jobs” so mother dearest could toast some frozen French toast. She’s entirely too busy making her own ridiculous coffee to have time to make them a hot breakfast.
How long is it going to take before she realizes she looks ridiculous in overalls?

It’s always blown my mind that she will go through this insane coffee procedure for herself, 10-steps with all these add ins ...but her kids ALWAYS get quickie convenience foods. Which no shame my kids eat too - last night we had late hockey practice, so we all ate grab and go snacks and then a frozen dinner. It happens. But I don’t give my kids that while also making myself some intense kale smoothie with frankincense oil coffee and whipped milk. We’re in it together - if I have time for a fancy fresh meal, my kids get it too.

Poor Forde didn't get a nice good morning greeting from his own mother. The way he also jumped from his seat when Elle asked if he made his bed was so sad. Forde is such a sweet boy and just wants to please his mom.

I've been trying to figure out why Elle's face shape is so different from before. Her cheeks definitely got abnormally puffier. Not sure of that is related to her eyebags surgery or something else. It looks so odd in contrast to her sunken wrinkly eyebags.

Also, when did she eat breakfast? I was half watching and mostly listening to the video so I might have missed it. If she didn't eat breakfast at all then her whole what I eat in a day is a one HUGE lie. I don't really care if she's doing intermittent fasting as long her calorie/protein/fat intake is enough. Definitely not an ideal time to do it while breastfeeding. But with what kind of food Elle eats, she is definitely depriving herself of nourishment. I don't remember who said it here but she could definitely be supplementing with formula. Nothing wrong with that of course. It's just for a 3 month old, B sleeps like a formula fed baby. I can be wrong though as all babies are different.

Elle wakes up early so she can “have alone time” right? How hard would it be to make some eggs or fresh French toast. She’s a SAHM mom. This is literally her job. I totally understand throwing cereal at them if she slept in, but she intentionally wakes up early.
Poor kids. Their mom can’t be bothered to feed them a decent breakfast.

I remember when Elle was pregnant and we were all waiting to see what would happen when she had three kids and no more Elle time. Well. She proved us wrong. She has more Elle time than I do and I “only” have two kids. When I get up in the morning it’s a race. I don’t have time to make an elaborate coffee or colour the bible. If I do have a few minutes while girls are eating I make some beds. I save my coffee and breakfast for once they’re in school. Yes a privilege. But when they’re home I’m the one helping them get dressed and brush their teeth and hair and making them filling breakfasts.

Also, why does she have so many things on her walls that aren’t photos/art. She has a command centre in her kitchen. Another one by the fridge and one out the door. Her interior home style leaves a lot to be desired.

Something I need to say here and I want to tread lightly as everyone has different religious views and beliefs but this needs to be mentioned. Over the years I have seen several viewers ask Elle point blank her views on homosexuals, same sex marriage, etc I’ve seen her comment once or twice that “her and Dan have nothing against it” in so many words but honestly her words were not convincing at all and she brushed it off. She has always steered away from anything considered “too controversial” mostly because I don’t think Elle knows anything that’s going on in the world outside of her little bubble.

But in today’s vlog she mentioned Bristol Palin and sure enough I checked Instagram and she’s following that crazy chick.

It is widely known by EVERYONE that the Palin family is strongly against the LGBT community , their rights to have legal marriages, etc Bristol herself has gotten into hot water for her anti gay comments.

I think it’s very clear what Elle’s thoughts are and the fact that she just openly supported Bristol shows that she’s either ignorant of the feelings of the LGBT community or she’s an idiot. Or Both.


Not to mention the Palin’s gloat about their animal kills and hang them on their walls. #vegan #vegetarian

YES! You’ve hit the nail on the head. She likes to play moderate to keep everyone happy. She has gotten herself into a tricky spot being such a suck up/copycat of The Birds Papaya re:body positivity... but many of the followers that are trickling over from there are VERY openly accepting of LGBTQ (something TBP is passionate about). And then she has her hardcore longtime viewers from back when she was trying to appeal to very conservative Christian family viewers.

I don’t think a decorating channel needs to be political/religious. But Elle has been clear that she’s more than that - she wants to reveal her true self, be authentic, etc. And with that comes some authenticity regarding her beliefs. She needs to either nut up and BE AUTHENTIC or just give it up and become a more entertainment-based channel (decor, recipes, DIY — oh wait she’s bad at all of those...)

I honestly think Elle wishes her channel was more dedicated to her faith, that that’s her calling to spread the WORD. Her singing gospel songs, verses from the bible, teaching her kids, that sort of thing but she’s always trying to “do it all” and stay on top of “what’s trending for the views”. What sponsored ads will pay her top dollar if she was a faith dedicated channel ?! Not Google and Home Depot that’s for sure.

Feeding her ego is always going to be more important to her, and her #givingback bank account.

She thinks she’s keeping her family thin and healthy by feeding like this, but it’s actually a huge disservice. Did you see how she said that forde was having his 3rd piece of French toast? HES HUNGRY ELLE. He’s a growing boy and needs proper nutrition. Not frozen French toast or cereal before a big school day. And his lunch! Wtf was that. A couple slices of ham and some fruit. That’s borderline neglect.

His lunches are making me sooooo sad for him! I guess Elle knows him best, maybe he eats like a bird and a lot of food would be wasted if she packed more. BUT as thin as he is, I would be sending him to school with a bagel and cream cheese like every day. He needs calories and fat. Pizza bites, chicken nuggets, pasta, steak strips, etc. The rest of his lunch could be a mix of healthy/snacky options, but for the love of god, give him something substantial. Those bear paws, grapes, and nature valley granola bars have ZERO lasting power. It’s all pure sugar and empty calories.

Even those yogurt drinks don’t have much to them. If Forde were my kid, I’d be sending him with full fat yogurt in a snack container with berries and a homemade muffin or something.

I just get so fired up about the lunches. My mom worked two jobs to keep us afloat and I almost never had a lunch at school, or at least not a quality lunch. I remember being so hungry all the time and it really affected my ability to focus and learn. I can’t stand the thought of my kids being hungry at school, so I put a lot of thought into school lunches and send a fair amount of food. The only thing that ever comes back is the vegetables hahaha but I try!

I actually liked Elle’s idea about the approved list of vegetables in Forde’s lunches. It’s a good way to give your kid some control in creating a win-win situation. The rest of her lunch making, however, falls sadly short.

And so concludes my school lunch rant! Until next time.....

Also thighs. She’s trying so hard to hide that she’s got thick thighs right now. ANY pose to give her a gap, no matter how silly.

It’s the opposite of body positivity. It’s the opposite of motivating, inspiring, or empowering. She’s so self-obsessed with her body that it’s a gross turn off and makes other people self conscious too! Instead of being proud, confident, happy, and accepting of all body shapes - she has clearly decided what is attractive and doesn’t consider herself “back” there yet so she’s being so obvious in trying to hide/change her body with angles and poses. Gross gross gross. Mostly because it’s the OPPOSITE of what she’s preached lately!
