Im honestly surprised either of them felt the need to go with Jackson and Calvin to the bathroom, given how they seem to have free range of the neighbourhood. Why Jared OR Ellie couldn't have taken them while the other stay at the table I don't know. Maybe Tommy needed a diaper change, but still Ellie could have taken all 3 into the womens bathroom. Or Jared could have taken Jackson and Calvin and then when they got back Ellie taken Tommy to change his diaper? Or Jared could have taken all three...there were literally SO many options other then them making a family trip to the bathrooms.

Gee, their house looks like a sterile punishing camp, the boys aren't even allowed to watch YT on their dads computer. Which on top wasN'T sneaking, they just went into your office while you two were still sleeping. What do you have to hide Jared, or does this empowerment just give you a kick? How can it be sneaky to begin with when they couldn't ask you anything? Quite to the contrary actually, they were good kids who didn't fight, were quiet and considerate to you two lousy parents and tried to entertain themselves independently. How absolutely cold, harsh, distant and sadistical to put a lock on your door. Just how insensitive, inconsiderate and bad people you are to Penny. You belong in hell according to your own definition. Taking all the toys away from kids. What else are they supposed to do when you sleep???

Boy, Jared is joyful for Ellie's return. Ellie couldn't be anymore mellow, lol. Show a little excitement lady! I think I know what is wrong with her, she's allergic to her husband and children. Seems to be ill whenever she is around them.

Good grief, what is with sitting at the table with your knees up like a teenager. Show some manners and teach your boys how to sit at the table properly for dinner. Do these boys stand a chance?

The only one she looked excited to see was Tommy! Calvin was sitting by the two of them and as Jared said "trying to get in the action". The sitting at the table-how childish can you act!

Okay so Jared's door has the lock on it and they mentioned the pantry had the same door knob too. Guess the boys can't get in there to get their own food anymore-hope one of the parents is getting up with them now to fix them something to eat!

I meant to comment about Tommy's reaction too. Jared really piled it on to make Ellie feel important and missed. While Tommy put on a big smile, he wasn't any more excited to see her than he gets when he sees Penny. But Jared kept going on and on. He really knows how to kiss her butt and how needy she is of attention.

To call Jared sadistic is a tad OTT. Lots of parents have no go zones for their kids if unsupervised, especially an office where they can accidentally delete files or play and ruin very expensive gear. When the kids are quiet, that usually sends alarm bells ringing that they’re up to mischief. He may be a lot of things, but sadistic is not one of them. He seems to me the more engaged parent of the two of them.

You have a point, but you're pulling the being quiet thing out of context. Still in this case it's not like you say in my opinion. And if so they could have closed the office earlier. I think you missed they were asleep, and you misunderstood what I was saying with the kids being quiet, the point is that they aren't allowed to watch YT.

They’ve chosen now to put a lock on the office door, and that’s fine as it seems that the kids going in there has become an issue. In my opinion, I don’t think it’s a problem kids not being allowed to watch YouTube when parents are asleep. They need to give them something else to occupy them, but screen time is not what I would choose personally.

Kinda funny that they didn’t seem too concerned about Calvin walking out the front door while they were in bed, but getting into Jared’s office (or the pantry) is alarming and can’t happen anymore.

#priorities

I think we can all agree that these kids have too much freedom when it comes to some things, and too little when it comes to others. They are simultaneously controlled/manipukated and “out of control.”

I really can't wrap my head around them having super security systems in place, as many can easily find their address, but they're not at all concerned for the security of their unsupervised flesh and blood. Same with Ellie's siblings. Linc missing for ten minutes and hanging out on a construction site. Ruby sleeping in her cozy bed while her children camp outside in the backyard... doesnt even matter if it's their own property, anyone can jump a fence to have a look at what these families are doing. I just DO NOT understand. If I knew my life was viewed my thousands and hundreds of potential sickos, I wouldnt let my kids roam around the neighborhood without my (extreme) supervision.

That's assuming though that Ellie can function as an adult. She can't even make her own doctors appointments ffs. I swear she's regressing as the years pass. She was childish af when youtube was new but at least seemed to take pride in accomplishments. Now she ass pats herself for getting out of her robe

What it’s not okay for me to let my kids juggle knives, walk or ride their bikes around the neighborhood unattended or to be in the backyard alone at night? Don’t worry I’m kidding yes I was raised in a Mormon household (my kids are not), but my mother, father and grandparents NEVER let us kids do such things. They were ALWAYS with us until we were sixteen (yes they were strict). I find myself being strict like my parents were. It’s such a dangerous world today and you can never be to careful.

I don't get why one of them cannot get up in the morning when the kids get up. I went to sleep at a reasonable time knowing full well my kids were early risers. My husband left the house at 5:30am for work, so it was up to me to take care of the kids. Thats just the way it is when you have kids. Instead of putting Jackson and Cal to bed so early, they should put them to bed at 7:30-8:00. They wonder why they are up at 5. These two so called adults have no common sense. Their life is all about themselves, or about what pleases Ellie and makes her happy. And I agree, whats with the Griffiths sitting with legs up, sitting on counters and tables and walking on the kitchen counters? They don't teach these kids manners or give them boundaries. I do think Ellie is a nasty, mean mom for taking away the kids toys, the few they do have, and making them earn it back. No wonder the kids went into Jareds office, they have nothing to keep themselves occupied. They can't make toast anymore, they have few toys, what are they supposed to do?

Okay Jared posted on IG and Twitter what was something monetary that brought happiness-his answer was Lasik surgery. Ummm, lasik surgery was a sponsored deal for him! That was a confirmed sponsorship out of mouth of Kevin-both him an Kevin was supposed to have it but Kevin wasn't a candidate for the surgery.

Then Jared reminding Ellie on the phone charging cord-isn't she old enough to know how to charge her own phone!
