Did anyone catch in the update that John brought up something Joan wasn’t going to....

The fact they almost became part of a trial.... which would mean driving to Boston...

THEN they could have kept the money raised....

Joan treats him like garbage. He's trying so hard to emphasize what he loves about Vera throughout the video and she just keeps cutting him off and shutting him down.

I love listening to John taking about her, he's besotted with her quite rightly. When Joan talks about her you always get a "but she's not Maeve" vibe

Vera will never ever live up to Maeve. Because Maeve never was born alive, Joan has imbued her with all these characteristics. She's even said that Maeve would have loved riding bikes with her dad, and would have been "the only one who loved my singing". Maybe she would have. Maybe she wouldn't. Nobody knows. She never had colic, or a tantrum, never slammed a door yelling "You're ruining my life! I hate you!". So poor Vera who is a human being and therefore imperfect, will never match the perfect imaginary child that Maeve is.
I hope John just showers her with love. She needs someone who won't compare her to Maeve.

Because she's been going on about "rainbow babies", and she has started her IVF injections. After policing other people's use of the term "rainbow baby", she has said that she has "claimed" that term, and that any baby she has after Maeve is a rainbow baby. It's not really about her using the term. She can call her babies whatever she likes. But she would rag about other people using when she in her infinite wisdom didn't think they had "earned" it. Like say, people who had "just" been infertile without a loss. It's none of her business what other people call their babies. And of course, she's the gold medal winner of the Pain Olympics. Nobody has struggled like she has.

Exactly, many women go through "unexplained" infertility for years and then become pregnant naturally or through IVF. Just because they haven't had a loss either doesn't mean they haven't been through a trauma. I'd class their baby a rainbow too.

Okay the rainbow pictures are just obnoxious at this point. If Joan has ANOTHER baby it will not be a rainbow baby like Vera was. Joan has not been through a “storm” in many years. She has a healthy living child already.
