That’s crazy to me! Yeah the majority of the time you're supposed to stop them within a week or so if you do get them and he would've been at least one to two weeks old in that vlog. But the thing is that half the time, even when the doctor will say to only take them for like 5 days they will give you like 20 pills.Llamamamma wrote:That’s crazy to me! It's pretty standard procedure here to get percocet, even if you are nursing. I usually get 30 pills upon discharge. I'm having our baby in the next 3 weeks, so I will see if anything has changed in a year.Llamamamma wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 6:47 amThat’s crazy to me! I was given Tylenol and that’s it. I cannot imagine taking a Percocet with a newborn and breastfeeding (if you chose to). That’s wild.
Not common practice here in Ontario.

No wonder there's an opioid crisis that's kinda ridiculous. My daughters father once got prescribed vicodin for a freaking sunburn (he was going in looking for an excuse to not go to work and drugs) and guess what now he's addicted to heroin, but that was 5 years ago, my mom just had mouth surgery and they didn't give her anything afterwards just recommended alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I know three people that I grew up with that have overdosed and died just this past year. Every time I go to the doctors office they have signs plastered all over the place for alternative pain relief because of how bad it is getting. I understand it when it's needed but it's being over prescribed and that's a problem. It was never once even mentioned to me after either of my births, which is good because I would have refused it anyways.mayhemmomof5 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 8:10 amIt's pretty standard procedure here to get percocet, even if you are nursing. wait is this the girl randy cheated on haylee with?
Re: Hayleeandfamily: Messy Divorce, New Baby Daddy Remorse | Part #5
No, idk who he was cheating with but he met this girl on twitter once him and Haylee were separated and trying to coparent Hazzel. Even though Haylee was already pregnant by Dann at the time, her finding out about Randy and this girl seemed to help lead to the big fights with Randy that resulted in her not allowing him to see Hazzel anymore. It seems like Randy never even cared about the girl in the first place to have started all that.grandtheftautumn_ wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 12:40 pmwait is this the girl randy cheated on haylee with?

I live about 30-45 minutes from her and I know several people who’ve had Percocet after delivery. For the most part it’s only while they’re in the hospital but one had 17 stitches and an episiotomy so she needed it! What city do you live in?Llamamamma wrote:That’s crazy to me! I had 3 c sections I cant imagine going through major surgery without pain medicine. My last one had an exposed nerve and I had to take a pain pill just to get a shower because once the water hit that nerve i went though the roof.. My first two I was only on for a few days but the 3rd it was almost 2 weeks before that never was covered up with skin. So freaking painful

I know they’re painful, and probably overused, but if they need to get the baby out quickly, for example if it’s stuck and in distress, an episiotomy might be the best of a bunch of unpleasant outcomeslizpuff2006 wrote:Oh man episiotomies need to be illegal. I live in the Fort Collins area, and I think it makes more sense if they give it to you in the hospital, but to send you home with 20/30 seems a bit excessive unless you have a c-section. And I've never had an episiotomy but like I said if it's truly needed I don't have a problem with it, but I don't think it should just be over prescribed and given to everybody. That's just my personal opinion, opioid addiction kinda hits home for me cause my daughters father is a heroin addict and he became an addict by being over prescribed pain pills he didn't need.Lolislol26 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:04 pmI live about 30-45 minutes from her and I know several people who’ve had Percocet after delivery. I 100% agree that they are needed after c-sections, my best friend had a c-section with her first baby and she didn't take any pain pills because they make her really sick and her mom is an addict so she's scared of them, but she definitely could have used them, she was in hell, but her vbac was a breeze.Momto3boys wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 9:53 pm I had 3 c sections I cant imagine going through major surgery without pain medicine. I had an Epi with my first it was needed it was a horrible delivery and my body has never been the same i had two babies after that no stitches required but for my 3rd a very easy no complications at all delivery I was offered Perc I was SHOCKED!!! I asked the doctor why she was offering me as I was doing fine with Motrin she said they offer to all new moms and she hates it but it’s what the hospital does. I don’t think any vaginal delivery needs Perc and I had a horrible delivery with my first completely ripped apart and still didn’t need perc Karen from kkandbabyj admired she got addicted to the pain meds after her son was born

When I was pregnant with my daughter 7 years ago I went into the hospital at 5 weeks for bleeding and cramping thinking I was miscarrying(I wasn't) but they prescribed me Vicodin for the cramping, even after I tried to deny it he brought me some anyways and I was shocked and honestly upset that they were trying to force Vicodin on me while I was pregnant for some cramping... but not once was I offered anything after the birth with either children, it must just depend on hospitals/doctorsHereforthemamadrama wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 6:22 pm I had an Epi with my first it was needed it was a horrible delivery and my body has never been the same i had two babies after that no stitches required but for my 3rd a very easy no complications at all delivery I was offered Perc I was SHOCKED!!! I've heard of people being prescribed opioids after a c-section, which seems excessive especially considering the opioid epidemic, but I guess everyone's case is different. It's not something I'd jump towards, especially in her case with a history of substance abuse, unless it was truly severe pain which she doesn't really seem to be acting like she's in.Honeybee23 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 3:25 pm At the end of her newest video"big sister shops for baby brother" Or whatever. I think it's equally likely her surge in energy and enthusiasm could have been from one or any combination of the factors of crazy baby hormones plus already having underlying mood and anxiety issues, then possible pain meds on top of that. She did start posting fairly often (in comparison to her past) right before he was born, she may have already been heading towards some type of manic.
