In a comment she said he fell playing football in the yard and his friend fell on top of him. Poor kid doesn’t catch a break.

Not at all. I thought it was weird as hell. I dunno though, here in Australia people don’t just walk around with Narcan. I actually don’t even think that would be something you could purchase over the counter here. I guess it’s also completely foreign to me because I dead set cannot picture myself in any kind of situation where I would need that... let alone how to use it. Image

Currently living in states & didn’t think this was OTC. According to google, you can pick up the generic brand at Walgreens/CVS pharmacies for $20-40. Who knew?

I do find it weird to be bragging about it on social media. The first thing I think is “oh, she must spend a lot of time around drug users” and less of the “oh, what a good person”

I live near an area where there is a high opioid crisis and they hand out these things for free along with training on how to use them. Maybe it’s the same for her.

And if insurance doesn't cover it, it's expensive. They must have dropped the cost, because I can't imagine her spending a lot of money "just in case". Even with a GoodRx coupon, it's $135 for the nasal spray, according to the article I read.
Why was she specific about a "costumer" at work? Or does she mean *customer*? I would think she would be concerned about co-workers. Stripping/exotic dancing is fraught with addiction.
Anyway, apparently now you can buy it OTC, except in Hawaii, Wyoming, Nebraska Oklahoma, Michigan and Maine.

The generic doesn't come in the nasal spray though. It's only injectable.

A friend of mine has epilepsy and has a medical alert bracelet and had a seizure and some random person decided to give her Narcan instead of calling an ambulance and she seized for over 20 minutes before another person called 911.

Idk if people like Taylor should be making medical decisions for people. I get why it exists and it's helpful but can you imagine if she decides to just give it to a kid she suspects to have taken drugs.

Or someone who is diabetic and having insulin shock could look like an OD- sweats, losing consciousness, etc. Just thinking about her trying to be a hero scares me.

This is exactly why I'm not okay with normal people carrying it. They don't know what to look for.

I live where there is a massive opioid crisis. You can get Narcan free OTC with training.

As someone who has extensive first aid training and experience (basic paramedic) the thought of regular everyday people using Narcan is terrifying. It can be life threatening if used in correctly and on someone not actually OD'ing. It has lots of contraindications. Even if someone is OD'ing, if they don't have high enough 02 levels, it can kill them.

Ok so it literally just hit me that she’s probably going to be 50 all saggy still stripping and making terrible porn. I used to think maybe she could turn it around but she is literally head to toe covered in bad tattoos and has almost no education or work skills the best I could see her doing is maybe working at a Spencer’s or hot topic but I doubt it how sad alesana better start working at 16 to support her “damn good mom” and siblings

My best friends cousin went into diabetic shock in the driver seat of his car in a grocery store parking lot. He was narcaned by some moron that assumed he ODed and he is in a damn coma! It scares me to death that an illiterate doofus like Tayler has this in her purse. My friends cousin will probably die because of someone carelessly thinking they are some druggie saving vigilante.
