That instastory was painful to watch. She was CLEARLY trying to film herself and her body while looking ultra thigh-gappy. Half of the clips had more of her body than her hair!

No video because her harddrive broke and lost all files.
And now she has to pay 2400 to recover the data.
She shows text conversations with Dan and now the conundrum is either the sweet family memories or that second hand Chanel bag!

The IG stories start by saying how this community came through to help her save the data and 2 people even remotely connected to her computer to help her!
And then the text from Dan from talking to the specialists says that the troubleshooting made the recovery even worse!!!!

Re: Elle's new IG post about her hard drive ordeal.

She said lesson learned to have a back up for the back up. From what she's been describing, her hard drive wasn't a back up. It was her main memory storage for her videos. Otherwise, she won't have any problems right now because she can get her videos back if she had a separate back up.

External harddrives are relatively cheap. No excuse for not having redundant backups, and now she's paying for it. I guarantee you someone has told her she needs multiple backups at several points in her "career".

I about died laughing watching that story, but then flipped to scathing mad when she balked at the cost of the data recovery. I'm an independent IT consultant and people give me hell for my rates all the time(I'm dirt cheap compared to others in the area with much more education than I, I only have field experience) and it's just insulting. Data recovery in particular is a very valuable skill, they are the ones saving YOUR dumb ass! PAY THEM! Ugh.

I work in IT and I paid someone 1500 CAD to recover my hard drive. Worth every penny.

She bitches about the cost, then in the same breath bitches it will take her two weeks to do it herself... so if it takes your IT professional 2 weeks of their time... why is this not worth AT LEAST $2400. I don’t know about you guys, but $2400 for half a months worth of work seems completely reasonable all we keep on our hard drives are our iPhone photos, yet we still keep everything on two separate external hard drives PLUS our laptop. If you don’t want to lose this shit, you keep many backups. We’ve even talked about keeping one in a bank safety deposit box or a family members house in case of fire or flood, and these are merely our life collection of photos not our livelihood. Common sense would benefit Elle greatly

The statement that the community asks for it and that is performs badly is contradictory. If it were truly so requested it would have been popular. I think she is just justifying and nobody asks for it.

She just doesn't have any original content. We've seen it all. Also I dislike how she calls yt a career, it's more of a hobby.
