Re: E & J - So many problems, so few vitamins |Part #125
What I learned from that long series of stories....
1. Ellie is seeing more doctors.
2. Ellie’s actual doctor says she’s fine.
3. Despite finding all these supposed solutions and self-diagnoses, she still isn’t ok.
4. Her ailments now include depression and bad thoughts.
5. She isn’t happy as a mom, and thinks it has to be anxiety (yet her anxiety seems to disappear when she’s away from home and the kids).
6. She says she wasn’t ok mentally after Calvin, but then also says she wants to get back to being the happy mom she was two years ago. (Except she wasn’t happy).
7. She doesn’t check her dm’s and saw a bunch of business offers from a few years ago that she had missed. She’s obviously no help to Jared when it comes to sponsors then.
8. She said they needed to cut back because her anxiety was making her shaky by two pm. No Ellie, that’s low blood sugar. EAT A PROPER MEAL.
9. She describes anxiety like someone who has heard of it, but who doesn’t actually know what it feels like. She’s sad because her life isn’t enough (this is my opinion, she didn’t say it).
10. Despite thousands of dollars in tests, cutting back on vlogs and filming far less, multiple supplements and vitamins, dietary changes, IUD removal and routine changes Ellie is still as miserable as ever. She is struggling, and like it or not she has less answers and more reason to be confused about what is going on with her body than ever. She supplementing with so many hormones that it’s no wonder they are out of balance! She had anxiety, depression, thyroid disease (and is now suggesting that she is prone to more autoimmune diseases that could “ruin her life.”), low Testosterone, low Progesterone, PCOS and is now cutting out sugar to see if that helps it all. She said IG and YT docs are a wealth of information.... only she isn’t even a bit better. Honestly, she needs a therapist more than anything, and I think her doctor has told her just that and this why she needs to pay out of pocket for all these tests now. She isn’t ok.
11. She clearly wants another baby (but not more kids) despite knowing she can’t handle it. She’s trying to find a way to self-medicate to make herself more able to cope.
Watch the series of stories. It’s enlightening. Wherever Jared is he needs to get her off social media and tell her to grow up and stop acting like the fragile baby Jennifer taught her to be. Of course it’s hard to be a mother when you have a selfish and childlike mentality!

Re: E & J - So many problems, so few vitamins |Part #125
Good recap. She seems on the verge of a full-blown mental breakdown. I think this is the first time we’ve heard her admit to depression. When she was talking about being the the dark about having a problem post-Calvin I wanted to reach through the screen and yell EVERYONE FREAKING SAW YOU WERE ILL, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY!!! 1000s of comments pointing it out. I know mental illness can cause denial but she’s acting like she had no freaking idea. And she’s on her fourth “doctor” and is wondering why she still feels bad! Because she doesn’t see instant results with her fake hormones and runs to the next person. A god doctor would keep exploring options or send you to specialists until solutions are found...this can take a long time though! Ellie doesn’t give any of these “doctors” more than a few months to help her...she’s not going to feel better over night! Ellie, you have multiple mental illnesses (I’m counting disordered eating) that require hard work with a legitimate therapist and psychiatric medications. I think her life will dramatically change when she stops chasing a miracle hormone cure and accepts some anti-depressants.HelloSweetie wrote:What I learned from that long series of stories....

Re: E & J - So many problems, so few vitamins |Part #125
I agree that it looks like she is on the verge of a mental breakdown. It baffles me that she has never been treated for depression when she believes she has it. Even her Instagram doctors should have suggested that as a first line of treatment since everything else she is experiencing can be a manifestation of that. Someone in her family should just drop her off at the door of an impatient center if she refuses to follow a reasonable treatment protocol on her own. If she is still unable to walk at 2 pm every day in the facility, by all means start calling in the experts at Mayo and Hopkins. No doctor will take her seriously without having tried standard medical treatment, or just eating regular meals.
I was one of those people who spent a decade (and my life savings) actively chasing a diagnosis. The only difference is that when I sought out medical experts, I actually followed their advice and treatment plans. Thanks to people like Ellie flooding their offices, most doctors would simply send me out the door with another anxiety/depression medication and tell me to get more exercise. I nearly died from a heart aneurysm at 30 as a result of the delayed diagnosis of my genetic connective tissue disorder. Ellie's position on social media makes her ignorant and hysterical medical rants completely irresponsible. It is like watching a man with an axe in his skull complain that doctors won't treat his migraines.

Looks like Jared's at a channel marketing event called vid summit as on twitter he retweeted a tweet at a event seeing a friend talk at vid summit

Oh Ellie. You Lady, need to get a grip and listen to people like us who won't kiss your .
It is proven that the gut and brain are connected. Improve gut health, improve mental health. Eat proper meals. Healthy meals. With protein. Eat regularly. Don't split a plate with Jared.
Do that diligently for six months, then we might have a little sympathy. But you probably be better and that can't happen. You might even put on some weight.

This would definitely explain Ellie’s crying. Poor Ellie has had to care for the kids herself! This public breakdown could definitely be a way to manipulate Jared and make him feel bad for leaving her alone and not bringing her.geezlouise_99 wrote:Looks like Jared's at a channel marketing event called vid summit as on twitter he retweeted a tweet at a event seeing a friend talk at vid summit
I don’t actually think Ellie has depression any more than I think she has anxiety. I think it’s the latest diagnosis to excuse her behaviour. Sometimes you’re sad because you dislike the state of your life. Ellie keeps spending but has cut back on their work over 50%. I’d be stressed and sad too!

I haven’t watched them in a reallllly long time. I couldn’t stomach the fakeness with them anymore. I just watched her “rant”. GET OVER YOURSELF. Go get help. Quit “ranting” on insta and like, I dunno, go to a real doctor and tell them how you’re feeling. Also, maybe if you ate “normal” food... you might not be shaky by 2pm. That’s def from not eating. She’s for sure on the edge of a mental breakdown. Go get help, sister. Actual help, not internet doctors.
They have changed soooo much and it’s so sad. I actually genuinely enjoyed watching them like 3 years. Now they just walk around like snobs. I just can’t. Also. Quit with the fake happiness. Everyone can see through it. Jared drives me absolutely insane. He always kind of has, but recently, it’s just like CALM DOWN and just be normal. Stop striving and reaching to be relevant and go help your wife. She needs it.

How come she's not sad and depressed when she's on vacation away from her kids? It's kind of sad that she feels she has to have many children because her mother and all her siblings do. She doesn't want to be a stay at home mother but she will still want that one more - preferably a daughter. If Jared really cared about his wife, he would get off youtube and get a real job so they can live a normal life where they won't be judged but he won't. She needs to see a therapist and get real meds to treat her anxiety/depression.

Except Jared needs a job where he can work from home to take care of the kids all day, and he needs a job where he can make 6 figures to keep Ellie in the lifestyle she’s always expected or she still won’t be happy. Jared really can’t win on this one. He married a child.ba1006 wrote:How come she's not sad and depressed when she's on vacation away from her kids? Also, no offense meant to any Mormons here or elsewhere, but I think it would be really beneficial for her little family to move. Get away from the church and her crazy, enabling family and get some perspective. Whether it is the church or the Griffiths clan, her belief system is NOT working for her and she's admitted many times she doesn't go anymore. Her mindset, loved ones and lifestyle is toxic

In Bonnie’s vlog her and Joel are waiting in the car for Ellie and Jared and they’re like what is taking so long. Joel says “filming a clip or fighting... probably fighting.” They weren’t doing their annoying joking voices. He was actually serious. Very telling.

I think it’s her family more then anything. The church members would only tolerate Ellie’s drama for so long, people like Ellie are exhausting and just plain annoying. They talk, talk, talk about all that’s wrong but they don’t want solutions. They like being “sick”. I think that’s why Ellie doesn’t go all that often anymore, nobody is buying her poor Ellie story at church anymore then we are.131618 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 7:11 am Also, no offense meant to any Mormons here or elsewhere, but I think it would be really beneficial for her little family to move. But her family, Jennifer especially, cater to poor, little, sick Ellie and she eats it up. And she does have fans who believe every word she says and send her message upon message of sympathy.
It would do Ellie worlds of good to get off YouTube, and to move away from her family. Neither will happen though because she’s unwilling to give up her lifestyle and as much as Ellie believes she would have had this life regardless of YouTube it’s just not the case, Jared isn’t going to earn this kind of income anywhere else (neither would Ellie if she was ever willing to get a job). Ellie spends FAR too much time in her head hyper focused on any little twinge she feels in her body.
I don’t even think Ellie has depression or anxiety, she’s just bored, refuses to eat the proper amount of calories and loves the poor Ellie attention. And all of these ailments she has are a good excuse not to eat properly and hide what I believe to be a full blown eating disorder quite well. And it sure sounds like any in person Dr she sees is seeing through her crap and seeing the same things most of us are, that’s why she’s only “seeing” online Drs now.

I agree. I’ve been very critical of the Mormon church on these boards, but I don’t think the church or Ellie’s family are feeding the need to have another baby. I think Ellie enjoys the attention she gets when pregnant, and breastfeeding and she misses her excuse to be catered to and to lay in bed and avoid the other kids all day. Pregnancy for Ellie is bliss. She really reminds me of Joan in that they both need to have the sympathy from others in order to be happy. She will make up any illness she can to get it. I think she’s “cried wolf” so many times that people absolutely have tuned her out. No doubt people in her church have real problems like job loss, cancer, ailing parents, etc, and are sick of hearing about Ellie’s hormones since she refuses to see a doctor.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:I think it’s her family more then anything. I don’t think anyone is putting pressure on Ellie to have more kids. I think she’s driving that bus alone. She didn’t need to have the IUD out asap for hormonal reasons. She used that as an excuse because Jared wasn’t on board with taking it out to TTC yet. After all, she’s wearing that fertility monitor on her wrist for a reason. Doctors use bloodwork to monitor hormones. They don’t have patients (especially ones with PCOS) wear novelty gadgets.

I do think Ellie is depressed and I think vacations and traveling are a distraction. She might have anxiety too. When she has purpose that takes her out of the house, it distracts her. It makes sense. With depression, it’s important to remember it’s not always people crying and sitting in a room. But her low energy, crying fits, bad thoughts, etc all fit depression. She probably had ppd that wasn’t treated.

Re: E & J - So many problems, so few vitamins |Part #125
Depression doesn’t come and go though. Ellie is completely fine when there’s something going on she wants to do. She’s up early, dressed, packed and able to parade around whatever city she’s visiting. It’s only when Ellie is expected to behave like an adult she cries depression.
People with depression are unable to motivate themselves to do 1/4 of the things Ellie does. People with depression aren’t all of a sudden able to do a full face of makeup, hair and clothing because they’re going out for lunch with their bestie (sister) and no kids.
I don’t doubt Ellie is unhappy but her self diagnosis of depression isn’t fair. If she actually believes she has depression she should be speaking to a real medical professional, in person, and getting on some medication to combat it.
Also, I believe it’s important to remember that Ellie didn’t claim she has depression until it was “cool” to do so. She jumped on the bandwagon when Bryan and Cullen started talking about it.

Exactly. Same with the anxiety. That word wasn’t even a part of her vocabulary until Bryan tweeted about it a couple years ago.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:Depression doesn’t come and go though. Speaking as someone with anxiety, it makes no sense that she’s fine on vacation because it’s a distraction. That isn’t how anxiety works. If she’s so anxiety ridden she can’t even handle being in her own home at 2pm, then it is EXTREMELY unlikely for her to be fine on vacations where everything is new and unknown. Her problem IS her home.

Depression can flare up. You go through depressive episodes so that’s not true but that’s not what I’m talking about. I have major depressive disorder and understand this very well. Disney is my happy place. When I’m there, the depression is still there but I act happy because I am. I imagine it is similar with Ellie. Traveling is a good distraction. Having something to do with Bollie is a good distraction. It gets you focused on something else. Read up on boredom and depression. Also, cognitive behavioral therapy is often making plans to be productive. Exactly what Bollie does for Ellie, even though I’m not a fan.

Flare up one day and completely gone the next? Heck, even from morning to lunch Ellie’s “depression” is keeping her in bed but then gone the moment she wants to go out? That’s not how it works.Cgl33 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 9:35 am Depression can flare up. You go through depressive episodes so that’s not true but that’s not what I’m talking about. The fact that she’s even able to make these plans and follow through doesn’t line up with depression.
The second Ellie learns she isn’t staying home with her kids she’s completely fine.
