So Megs just posted on FB about her amazing BFF and the photos she took of her family. Who knew that Meggie used to be a photographer in her past years too..this woman! Jack of all trades, she is! My my. Anyway...the individual pictures that her "Professional Photographer" friend took are HORRIBLE. You can tell she used auto focus, or she's blind as a bat. Jude's face is super blurry, the camera focused on the rope piece around the button on his top. Eve's photo was focused on the stitching of her sleeve. ADHD kid #2 (I can't keep them straight) must have been so blurry all the way around that she over blurred all around him to try to make his face seem somewhat in focus. ADHD kid #1, same. Pearl, my goodness that's a awesome sweater. Look at the detail on her sleeve by her wrist because that's the only thing that's focused. Andrews right shoulder looks amazing, don't you think? Esters got a nice curl to the end of her hair by her (modesty bleep) that her hair is resting on...Daniel's left arm by his shoulder is mighty nice. And golden child's nice right shoulder. I hate that any asshole that holds a camera now a days can call themselves a photographer. If you can't use manual settings on a DSLR you have no business calling yourself a photographer. This "Marisa" better not charge actual clients for shots like these. Disappointing.

All I can say about that is YIKES. I wouldn't say it's child abuse; it's more child neglect to me.

I feel like they're coming out with this as preventative damage control. So in 3-4-5 years if someone actually files a case with child protection services in their area, they can tell their yt community "lOoK tHeRe iS aN aRtIcLe" and the heat will be abated at least from the internet. I just wish I could pound it into her brain that unschooling isn't a real education unless they cover AT LEAST the minimum requirements for math/reading/writing/science to get a decent score on the SAT's. You can reject the ideas of standardized education but the world is run on those standards and can reject you right back

I strongly agree it's not abuse, but it's DEF in the realm of neglect. She's laughing because she was at the time (that was an old video they featured) and still is ignorant. Remember folks, ignorance is bliss. Thank God they live in a country where public assistance is a thing because I suspect several of those kids will end up working the system for essentials to get by if anything ever happens to Mommy and Daddy...or even o DoTerra for that matter. YouTube must present a great "side" income for them, but I SERIOUSLY doubt that it's full family sustaining income...can you imagine if DoTerra drops like SO many other MLM's. They got LUCKY-at best- getting in "early" on that MLM...they aren't good business people, they could never have a stand alone actual legitimate business. Megs was even quoted in another article I read where they were featured in an LDS magazine saying that they aren't even hard workers....I'll have to find that now....

At this point I am just genuinely interested to see how life is going to start shaking out for them since they are interested in planting down on a property that they will OWN. It seems they have NEVER owned a place, just perpetually rented and then the closest thing was the 5th wheel. They are NOTORIOUS for not following thru with ANYTHING. Anyone that's been following them for years can figure that out. It's a life of "winging it" and throwing ideas out as what's going to happen and then things fizzle because REAL LIFE starts to take over. Poor Meggie just wants EVERYTHING in life to be "Magical" and it's just NOT. Anyone remember their "Life Coaching" business that they declared that they were going to start? How about that RV Reno business they were working on? The only thing consistent in their lives in inconsistency. "Working" 15 hours per week is a joke....they got LUCKY and have the support of their cult like religion is what helped them with Doterra. Anything that they have to actually put effort in to never works out, what a great example for all those kids.

That newsletter they decided to roll out, they can't even keep up with that. Her podcast with Golden Child #2, she pushed patreon for that and they have ZERO patrons. How about focusing on ONE thing.

This woman can't even handle dying a bedspread...how on EARTH are they going to be building a house made of reclaimed materials. The shit show continues.....how about spending time with your kids megan, instead of making unnecessary projects a priority. You've been working on this cat vomit colored bedding for days. Where is Daniels trip? He's the same age as Elijah. If you were too buys at consults for all the kids medical problems that's a perfect excuse for not treating Daniel equal....but when you are chalk painting butt juice covered chairs and coloring anything that isn't a shade of a rainbow color it's sending the wrong message to your children.

She spent all that tiime and money dyeing a bedspread just to ruin it and buy one at Target. She could have just as well bought the one she probably secretly wanted and had a spare for another bed or for her own. I'm not one to care about how people spend their money, but this amount of waste drives me crazy. Also I have a white duvet cover and it never gets dirty enough to look dirty. I don't understand what she's doing on her bed that makes it so there's so much discoloration (according to her).

I'm also sad for Daniel. I agree with others in wondering where his trip is. I hope it's not just a weekend away to some random scenic town close by. Elijah got a scenic trip to another country; the least they could do is the same thing. That moment when Daniel was SO happy about being able to use a bag of frozen food on their "fend for yourself leftovers night" was heartbreaking. I really want better for him. If he was adopted by a normal family, he would probably be taking tours of potential colleges right about now...

That would not necessarily be odd, though. Kids who move countries and have to learn a full new language are often behind by a year or more when they get assessed.

I have 2 cousins who moved here, one came from Korea, the other from Honduras. Both were set back a year from the grade they would have otherwise been in. Neither spoke much English when they came over.

I’m just trying to picture a trip where it’s just Daniel, Megan, and Mike. I feel like it’d be so awkward...there just doesn’t seem to be any normal parental chemistry between them. Plus he’s not going on a mission so they’ll probably justify it as he didn’t need a big trip because he’s not going off.

It’d be nice to see him go back to China, but that should definitely be a family trip, both for the adopted kids and the bio ones to get to experience the culture.

I had hope when Megs said she needed to find what she wanted for a price that she was willing to pay, that she would actually get a bargain at these body odor/skin cell/oil gland secretion factories that she calls thrift store. SIXTY BUCKS for the rusted, dented, chipping (HOPEFULLY NOT LEAD PAINT) ugly metal cart!!??? Like literally W.T.F.

"Happy 4 years of tax deductions to my latest 3 children to youuuuuuuu, happy 4 years of tax deductions to my latest 3 children toooooo yooooooouuuuuuu.............." Anyone else notice that they sang poor Daniels name LAST. Why must that kid play second fiddle to EVERYONE in that family?

All that effort for like 5 small plants? It's exhausting to watch.

GUESS WHAT! Mike and Megs are starting a new business project! THEY are now starting a PODCAST too! Whopeeeeeee. The patreon page that she set up to grift from listeners on her and Andrews postcast is still holding strong at a solid ZERO patrons. Maybe she thinks Mike would be more interesting than her know-it-all teen? Surely not. Will this podcast start after their life coaching business gets off the grouns? Or when their RV reno business get started? I'm confused.

It's so nice to hear as a mother, that "colors" and material things make her happy instead of her children. It literally broke my heart to see her 2 youngest sit there and watch her pain those damn terra cotta pots...what a great group opportunity that would have been for them to be included in Meggies World. No, wait. She would lose some control. Nevermind.

Two things that really irked me. 1) Two of your kids are sitting right there wanting to paint, you can see it in Jude’s eyes. And I’m pretty sure Eve was asking to paint the pots as well. What a great missed opportunity for your kids to actually learn. The pots wouldn’t have came out the way you wanted, but you have kids and they would have had a great sense of accomplishment seeing their pots in their moms kitchen. 2) When she was talking about the birthday cake her kids got in China, why on earth do you have FIVE Children who were born in China, yet you have to ask your viewers what type of cake it is?!?! Why haven’t you made that cake for your kids, or ask them? (Maybe they haven’t had that cake because it brings back bad memories from the orphanage but still!!!)
