I get its her job but the last thing on my mind would be grabbing a camera if I was concerned for my kids at school. She was probably more mad the hat parade was canceled than the school trying to be safe. And how she talked to the kids about it was weird to me. Like she wanted more vlog footage instead of not talking about it. During lockdown at our schools they still go about their day just nobody can get in the school. I understand they knew since their parade was canceled but as usual she has to film it and be dramatic.

Although, im not too happy about Lilias teacher and class forgetting. Or Landons class being told it was a drill. When we had these drills we treated it like a real event, lights off, quiet rooms, gather in one corner or under the desk etc. (No room to forget what you're doing and let kids outside the supposed to be LOCKED doors). And this was a real event and they treated it like a joke, which could have put all those kids lives in danger. I removed my kid from that school after Mess kept filming everything going on at the school the past couple years, im really glad I made that choice, because this is ridiculous.

And when she said she was going to go to the school all I could picture was her pulling up filming the cops looking for the person (or whatever happened). She just can't let people do their jobs and it really could get her hurt one day.

Last Thursday, the school got put on lockdown because of a suspicious person outside the school with a weapon. I made a post about it last Thursday as they cleared the school and cancelled the parade, why wouldn't she use it for click bait? Thats who she is

Yeah. They really didnt want parents there. They didnt even tell anyone the kids were on lockdown until after the lockdown was lifted. Which also pissed off parents.

I don't mind the teacher telling Landon it was just a drill. The kids are scared. It helps keep them calm. Though, Lilia's teacher. Eeeeeeeesh. I bet she got reprimanded for that.

I don't mind the teacher telling Landon it was just a drill. The kids are scared. It helps keep them calm. Though, Lilia's teacher. Eeeeeeeesh. I bet she got reprimanded for that.

The problem telling them its a drill when it truly isnt, is if there was an evacuation situation, the kids arent going to take it seriously because "its a drill" and then will get confused. A high school in our city also had a bomb threat Sunday into Monday, a few months ago Jessicas moms high school had an active shooter threat. The stuff is real, we are dealing more with the real stuff then the drills and the kids sadly need to know how to handle these situations when they are scared because its real. The school didnt have a drill, it was sadly real, and their protocol on the situation needs to be addressed because so many things could have gone wrong by those teachers. My only guess is there was a lack of communication and the teachers were informed it was also a drill, but doors should have been locked, lights should have been turned off, and curtains closed. Thats number 1 thing to do in a lock down situation real or drill.

Is it just me or in that video she came off as oh I'm so concerned when she really wasn't. She really annoys me, 4 out of 5 of her kids were in danger yet she oh dear I'm worried blah blah blah any other mother would be tearing the school down

Oh, here we turn all lights off and lock doors and make it seem like the classroom is empty. The schools campus is always locked as soon as the bell rings and you have to go through the office to get on campus at that point, unless you climb the fence. Maybe because the report was outside of the school they did it differently, but I dont know, im going to look into it though because I want to know what the protocol is for them and my kids, since they are all ran the same way.

they can’t tell you why there is a lockdown for safety reasons. word spreads and people panic, like messs. you can’t say why there is a lockdown because police are trying to do their jobs and you can’t jeopardize security by stating the reason. you just can’t disclose that. has messs ever watched the news and seen a report of a lockdown? nevermind i definitely know she hasn’t.

she seemed more upset because the parade was canceled and how she had to make the hats. SHE IS SUCH AN IDIOT!!!

and how she proceeds to take her daughter CLOSER to the perceived danger. she literally said she shouldn’t go outside but she did. she’s so freaking annoying and entitled

and i was upset that she filmed the kids’ reactions and stories for content and she tried to make it seem serious (which it was), but you don’t scare kids like that. a normal and good parent would say “i heard- you had a lockdown today. the school was there to keep you safe and everything is okay now”

she’s so freaking dumb and exploitative.

I think Cali schools--at least the ones that vloggers have shown--are very different than the schools in my city. In my city the classroom doors lead out into a hallway where as it looks like Jesss' kids classrooms lead outside. My stepdaughter's elementary school had 3 doors leading from the outside to inside the building--the main entrance, the side entrance near the pre-k and a gym entrance. It bet it would make lock downs a whole lot easier than every door leading to the outside.

Very true. Most of the schools here are "outdoor" schools, only ones that arent are the ones in the sierras where snow would affect the outside. Or the "rich schools" where they are all indoor.

This is true. Mess called it a lock down, which is what it was being called. But in fact, it was a "Shelter in place" or a Lock out. In which the classroom doors still should have been locked, so Lilias class shouldnt have been able to leave the room. And all access into the school is locked (which it normally is during school hours anyways).

And she did all of it in front of a camera. I couldn't believe she filmed it at the school. I would've hoped that having the lockdown would have jolted her into realizing she shouldn't be filming the school grounds for anyone to see.

No she didnt. Shes only gotten her associates (2 year degree) she still has to go back for her bachelor's degree (another 2 years) to become a teacher and idk about cali but here in Connecticut a lot of teachers are now being required to go for their masters (6 years typically).
