Did Jess ever do student teaching when she was in college? Wouldn't she know what the policies are? I have a teacher friend and this was covered when she was in college. She graduated a year or two before Jess so I would think it would have been for her to.

In a lockdown at our schools classes go on as planned. Lights aren't shut off and kids are free to move with their class. Its just the school is locked and nobody gets in or out until there is an all clear. I do have an issue with them saying its a drill because I admit as a kid I took tornado drills not serious and im thankful we never had a real one. Had I not known it was a drill it would have been different though.
I think that’s called a soft lockdown where everything goes as usual just nobody in or out of the building. A lockdown is shutting off all lights and being quiet. Atleast that’s what the schools I was in called it.

No she didnt. Shes only gotten her associates (2 year degree) she still has to go back for her bachelor's degree (another 2 years) to become a teacher and idk about cali but here in Connecticut a lot of teachers are now being required to go for their masters (6 years typically).

In California she would have to complete the credential program too which is like another 2 years. There’s no way she will ever get it
I get a feeling jesssfam is moving soon,, with what she said in her vlog the other day about not being able to share yet.. and then her friends have made little comments on her social media. Roselynn commented on her newest Instagram photo how it’s nice living so close (just saying). I think it’s a hint they may be moving further away. I never really thought they would move away from Mimi but she’s made several comments and hints lately that makes me think they may be moving in the near future.
And...? So did I and quite a few people I know. Considering the scope of Disney owned movies, Tv shows and now Disney+ originals, it’s a pretty darn good deal (especially because a few months ago they had some really good deals for preorder.) Still don’t know why people hate on Disney so much.

My friend got an email about the preorder but then couldn’t even preorder because we’re Canadian

Didn’t Amber say that her & Gabe are looking at house closer to Jess? Or am I imagining things.
So with lockdowns- there are different levels... like if something happens around the school- but not necessarily affecting the school itself, the school might be on a “soft lockdown”- no one in or out, recess indoors, and all windows shut... classes and lessons continue as normal- however Jesss’ kids don’t have a hallway inside so assumably they’d stay in classes during a soft lockdown instead of changing as needed.
A full on lock down is when they turn out lights, hide under desk or in a closet or whatever... no one in or out the school, locked doors, windows and shades shut, door windows covered- and this is when there’s a direct threat to the school.
Then they have shelter in place- which used to be used during wars or threat of a war, but can be used for severe weather conditions during school hours as well.
I live in a city where lockdowns are fairly common unfortunately, and it’s terrifying to have to talk about that stuff with your children... but tbh I’m not against the kids thinking it’s a drill- because regardless if it’s a legit lockdown or a drill the students should still handle the situation the same way- calm and quietly.

No she did. But I’m sure that wouldn’t stop her from moving lol. I’m thinking the stuff she doesn’t want to talk about is custody things with Tommy and Caden
when my cousin was murdered, the shooter fled on foot which resulted in 5 school districts being on lockout- nobody was allowed in or out of each school, the school day went on as normal but with state troopers guarding each school's entrance. this was the first time I heard about this.
when I was in high school, we had a lockdown where we were stuck in the classroom, lights off, no talking. police officers w dogs roamed the hallways. this was in 2006 but I'm sure it's the same now
we did have lockdown drills consisting of the same routine, but those lasted 10 minutes max.

This whole conversation reminds me of my last day in high school before graduation. It was June 6, 2006 (6/6/06). We had had metal detectors introduced that year and that was the ONE day EVERYONE was checked with a metal detector wand (purely coincidental or so they said). Of course, I had keychains on my bag, so I got flagged down and a teacher looked through my bag. I assured him it was my keychains...and he let me go. Granted, I obviously wouldn't have done anything, but I am so glad my children will not be going to that school
I thought the thing she couldn't talk about was about T & C but then she said she had a friend there helping her. Which makes me believe they are going to build or something. Or does she have a friend that's a travel agent and its a big trip again.

I think there might be a bit of white lying going on here. How does a teacher forget about a lockdown unless it really was only a drill ?
And of course, Lilia was one of the pupils outside before the teacher remembered
I'm assuming they were about to start recess as the lock down started or something like that. I cant imagine a teach "forgetting" the schools on lock down. Especially in a class fill of kids, someone would've said something.

The kids were at recess when the incident happened.
