I apologize to the person I called out for having multiple disabled children. That was wrong of me. I am not saying your children are responsible for, or were solely placed on this earth to teach you lessons. But have they taught you things since you became a mother? Probably. Have they taught their siblings things? Probably. The same thing is true for Nolan and his family.

I really think this world would be a better place if we all just judged each other a little less and had a little bit more compassion for one another. Mothers should be bringing each other up, not breaking each other down.

I had a 12 week scan. Want to know why??? So I could see my baby! There are many reasons to get the scan. Call it selfish but it is what it is

She literally has no idea what she’s talking about. doctors also take the information to help determine if the pregnancy needs to be monitored closely, to see if they will need surgeons or specialists at the birth, and to determine if the baby has something like a heart condition or Down’s syndrome so they can give the mother time to prepare and gather information before the baby is born. Saying the ultrasound’s sole purpose is to abort or not is asinine and uninformed.

My god you are really being dense. You do not have to know Britney personally to know that she has a 1 in 4 chance of having a DMD baby!!!! And actually the chances of a completely healthy baby are only 50% since the girls can be carriers.

We don’t know if the next child will have it but neither does she! Why do you think it is okay to roll the dice and condemn a child to a fucked up painful life when someone already has 4 kids!?

I have compassion for Nolan and I used to have compassion for Britney but her continuing to reproduce is absolutely sickening.

WE DO KNOW she is taking a 50% chance of having a boy and that boy having 50% chance of a terminal illness. & We feel that is selfish & wrong to make your child go through that. We as mothers are suppose to protect and want what's best for our children. Obviously some things are out of control but Britney has control over this. So how could you do that to your future children? I have no compassion for someone like Britney who wants to cry over Nolan's diagnosis because she "feels" for him but then is willing to put that harm on a future child.

Yikes. I’m convinced this mama drama person has no idea what leads to illnesses/disorders. Some things come about due to combinations of genes, or both parents having a copy of a specific gene, or a mutation, environmental factors, etc. I get the point that’s trying to be made of every pregnancy has a chance of resulting in an illness/disability and a lot of that is out of the parents control. HOWEVER, in Britney’s case, every pregnancy she has has a 1 in 4 chance of dmd and 1 in 4 chance of being a carrier. Those odds are terrifying. DMD is not an illness you can live a relatively normal life with. The sad reality is that Nolan’s quality of life will continue to decline until he meets an untimely death. He will suffer greatly. It’s not Britney’s fault that he has DMD because she didn’t know prior to his diagnosis. But now she knows and should do the responsible thing and not risk subjecting another child to that.

I haven’t been on here in a long time. I’m a carrier for a mutation of DMD. The mutation is very unknown. My son has this mutation. He’s 8 months old and the second I found out he had it, we jumped right into “therapy” and quarterly check ups at a neurologist. There’s no telling if he will suffer from this mutation, but I’m going to every thing in my power to make sure he doesn’t go down quickly. That even meant me not giving him a brother or sister.

Being disabled and having a TERMINAL (now very preventable for them with birth control) illness are two completely different things.

Honestly, I don't even think there's something inherently wrong with wanting another child. But for one, Brit already has four children, and for another, she has enough money for IVF and yet chooses "not trying, not preventing". Like, literally what the fuck is going on in her pea-sized brain?

I'm also 99% that she was done with kids after Harlow and only had another one, and is now willing to have more, to hold Frank. I think she knew that he wanted kids of his own and there was nothing to prevent him from leaving if he knew she didn't.

All I’m trying to say is that you can live with a chronic or terminal illness and still have a happy and fulfilling life despite being in pain, and even though you know that you are going to die and/or end up in a wheelchair.

Aria is only 7, there is still time for her and her sisters to be tested to see if they are carriers.

Again, genetic testing is an option. And to the person who said this is “child selection”, are you out of your mind? How many of you went for 11-14 ultrasounds with blood work? That’s testing your risk for certain chromosomal abnormalities.

How do we know that Britney and Frank wouldn’t terminate another DMD child? You guys are talking like they already have a second son with the condition.

Having blood tests and ultrasounds to see if your baby is healthy is one thing. But what I was referring to was using specifically ABORTION to control what kind of child you have. Please read before you speak

The 11-14 week ultrasound (Nuchal translucency exam) which includes a blood test on the same day, is LITERALLY for the purpose of determining the risk of chromosomal abnormalities. If having a child with Down syndrome, T18, or T13 would not change your mind about continuing the pregnancy, then there is no point in the 11-14 week ultrasound/blood test. The 18-20 week anatomy scan would still be important for fetal health, sure. But the entire purpose of the earlier scan is to determine abnormalities at an early enough stage in pregnancy so that the mother has time to terminate.

Geez. Using abortion as a form of chromosomal birth control. Awesome, shes such an inspiration to her teenage fangirls.

Exactly this! If she really needs a 5th child, IVF is an option for her, and she and Frank even said in videos before that they wanted to do it in the future. But now it’s time for her to get knocked up again, and surprise surprise, she can’t be bothered to spend the time and the money to do that. It’s easier to roll the dice with another child’s health.

I agree, I think she really believed she was done having kids after Harlow, but then Frank happened. He was the first person to message her on Match, and he wanted his own kids. So now Britney is having more kids. Plus she looooooves the attention she gets from being pregnant so that’s a factor too.
