Gloves are worn when touching a newborn to protect the people touching the baby, not the baby, because it’s covered in body fluids. It is protocol to use gloves until the baby has had a bath, then health care providers are able to touch the baby with bare hands. That’s like saying no one, mom included, should touch the baby because they might spread an infection. As long as his hands were clean, the only one at risk of catching an infection from that was the doctor.

The beginning of the birth vlog freaked me out a little! The shots of the house very creepy! It is like out of these thriller movies/ or fbi documentaries, very unnerving! Doesn’t help the slow motion dancing from Bears’ name reveal! He needs to rethink his camera work! It really insinuates something sinister!

It's totally normal and expected for the uterus to still be shrinking and for things to still be going back to where they were pre-pregnancy for the first 12 weeks postpartum. I don't think that's what the poster was referring to, but I could be wrong. What's not normal is a weight gain above something like 25-35 pounds. That accounts for the placenta, the extra fluid, the extra blood your heart is pumping, the baby, a little extra fat, etc. Anything above that is likely excess fat. Considering Kelsey admitted to a 50 pound weight gain with her first, I think she's probably created a lot of extra work for herself when it comes to losing the extra weight she put on.

And does anyone else think it's weird to post a picture of the baby at her nipple but not breastfeeding? I get normalizing photos of babies breastfeeding to an extent, but Kelsey was talking about wanting to be "covered" in front of hospital staff of all people, and then posts a picture like that? Not that you can really see much, but it struck me as an odd photo to choose. Makes me think Corbin runs her Instagram and posted that photo without her realizing.

I’ve noticed recently Corbin has really been trying to influence viewers to go to Instagram instead of YouTube. I think they are treating Insa as a second opinion in case they are no longer able to get paid from content on YouTube come January

He posted on insta and said tomorrow he will put it on youtube! He hardly had 3 or 4 comments on his insta everyone mostly comments on Kels so maybe he probably needed sth to draw people back and used Bear!

Would there be a single lady on this forum whose hubby said “High Five” when they are getting ready to give birth?
I mean I don’t want to knit pick but I would’ve decked mine had he dared high five me!
Basically no one was with Kels as she was pushing a human out! Pity her mom wasn’t there to be by her shoulder!
At the end of the birth vlog when all goes black I expected to see the child’s name or date of birth but no it’s follow us and Corbin telling the newborn to say ‘Be where your feet are’ just NO!
The whole vlog sinister house views slow motion dancing sad depressing music and sad looks and stares all give of a vibe like they all have befallen a terrible fate! Really creepy!
He could of shown Kelsey and himself smiling on their early adventures and then their wedding and then June smiling then the newborn. Really poor choice of filming!
