It's a hobby. You could ask why do people like watching sports or cooking shows, and you'd get the same answer.
But this specifically - for the same reason people love to hate-watch reality TV shows like The Kardashians, Teen Mom, 90 Day Fiance, etc. Most people don't watch those shows because they like those people. It's just fun to watch trashy messy people living their trashy messy lives. Except youtube is even more fun because there's no editing team piecing together story lines behind the scenes, so this is even closer to reality tv than actual "reality tv."
And then we talk about it because we're human. And we do it here because they delete anything even remotely critical on their social media.

It’s called hate watching, some people hate watch the kardashians, we hate was trashelle. Most of us are people that actually enjoyed watching them and then realized they suck. You just get invested and the entertainment comes from how insane they are. Honestly I see absolutely nothing wrong with hate watching.

Ahh okay makes sense. I guess my brain doesn’t work that way. I look at the mental health side of things and think wow that is harsh. We’re all human and one person can only cop so much before it starts tipping you. I see you guys mention that you think she reads here. It makes me worry about her. It’s very sad and it obviously affects her if she cares to read. comments towards little Emma and her looks I find are so mean. Poor little sweetheart might read these comments one day and be so hurt buy people’s words. I just find it really sad that people consume their lives with such negativity but hey that’s your journey and I can’t change the way people think in one post. Disregard what I have to say if you like but I think you should all consider that one day something you say could be that persons tipping point. Suicide is a very real thing and in this day and age I think we as humans should be very aware of the damage words can have on others. Not saying that would happen but you just never know what someone is battling with behind closed doors. Something to always keep in the back of your mind.

I actually don’t. I actually have to look away if I feel embarrassed for someone but I definitely don’t go online and speak about them negatively I just can’t do that to someone. We’re all people and have feelings
I think a lot of people here started out liking Rachelle and Justin (and most other youtubers that are gossiped about here). Then they say or do something questionable on their vlogs and it makes you wonder if anybody else sees through the facade. It’s not hard to find YTMD and it opens your eyes to the blatant lies and fabrication that these cOnTeNt CrEaToRrrrs present.
Any criticism whether constructive or not just gets deleted in their comment section and swept under the rug. Genuine questions, comments of concern, deleted. It’s inauthentic!
I personally say things here that I hope R & J see and learn from! We all know they read here. Some people here have been personally affected by Rachelle, whether it be blocked on IG or a nasty message from Justin etc and it’s not fair when the truth about them is hidden. I’m not justifying the hurtful comments on here but it’s more than just hate watching for some of us!

For me, it’s just like watching any tv show/reality show/movie. No one I know watches much YouTube, so this offers me a place to hear other opinions and communicate a bit like I would about any show I watch. I started out not disliking them. I had a baby a few months prior to them having Emma, so I was interested in baby-related content. But I kept noticing more and more problematic things about them. Also, my kid is seen in one of their videos and it really pissed me off that they didn’t ask me or any other parents there if it was ok to film. Not cool. When I look at their comments section all I see is people kissing their asses, so I wondered if I was the only one with a problem with them. I’m glad I found this place. I don’t hate them or feel as strongly as some in here but I still enjoy reading.

I’m sure I’ve said this before, but no one really cares about twins. Pregnancy itself is very isolating, carrying 2+ babies even more so because singleton moms can’t relate. If she’s tagging “twin pregnancy” in all her videos, the only people searching that are other moms having twins, looking for advice/support. She could benefit from having regular, honest pregnancy updates, which would give her views from multiples moms for as long as Youtube lasts. I don't know, but is it just me or what but if you give something special to Ytbers they immediately forget about that item and it is never seen in the vlogs whatsoever and you wonder what happened to it? In a vlog they made a year ago, I asked my grandmother to make Emma a baby blanket of neutral colors, she spent at least two months or whatever on the blanket, I only saw it once in the vlog and that's when they got it. I thought it would be seen more, this also goes for a clothing I got for Emma but she never wore it.. which is fine but where's the blanket? I ask in dms but they never respond and I just want to know if they TRUELY appreciate it you know? Anyways, um, their house it is beautiful and all but how will it be paid off is my question? Whatever the situation goes to I hope they don't go bankrupt, also with Emma.. the spotlight for her is almost just gone. She was caught trying to sell baby clothes that were PO box gifts from their viewers and tried to sell some of the freebies she got when she went on the Ellen show, so it wouldn't surprise me.

That was very kind of you and your grandma to gift Rach baby items. Your post is a great example for the poster that just stopped in asking why there is so much dislike for R&J. This is it, pretty much. We have two young adults, who have a very privileged life, with no transparency as to how they got to where they are. A $600K house, boutique baby clothes, renovations and expensive furniture? How and where is this money coming from?
They put the least amount of effort into their channel, have zero contact with fans, accept gifts but don’t ever thank anyone or mention them in their videos. They come off as entitled snobs. They are NOT that busy, they can take the time to properly thank their fans for funding their lifestyle.

My grandma crochettes blankets for family or friends or if requested from myself, and she makes them with love and care. It's a cheesy thing to say but it's true, the blankets come from the heart and man she's good at what she does. I would literally cry if she sold it or threw it away, you know? Sigh.. if I'd known better the blanket would've gone to a better family that would use it and love it. well I'm sad now to say the least

When Emma was a couple of months old rachelle said she was growing too fast and they would be selling the clothes that were already too small for Emma but it was mostly all P.O box clothes that Emma never wore and were actually still too big for Emma, I'm sure there used to be a screenshot of the boxes of clothes she tried to sell maybe someone still has it
