Hahahaha. We were at some kind of club thing (all the kids and I, perhaps church?) and Megan and Mike came to pick us all up in that MINIVAN thing they have and we were going skiing but I wasn't allowed to actually go skiing, I had to just sit and watch. Probably because I was adopted.
Megan adopted 5 children from China yet in the Asian supermarket she seemed to have no idea what anything was or used for and kept saying loudly "what's that?" - she should know some of this stuff already - way to learn about your children's cultural background Meggie!
It’s so sad that with 5 Asian children, they don’t do anything to honor that heritage. It’s really sad that Daniel had to request a trip to a grocery store for his birthday. They need to incorporate that heritage into daily life. They should have Asian meals at least one nice a week. Their children should all be comfortable with Asian culture and foods, and Daniel, Pearl, Esther, Jude, and Eve should all understand the heritage of where they came from.
They were not just suddenly American. They should have just as clear of an understanding of home as they do of here.

Megan’s attachment to material things far outweighs her attachment to her adopted kids.
Birthday gifts for Daniel went as such: Mom and Dad bought him a Wok. Eve and Jude got him mushrooms to grow. Pearl and Esther got him a Korean cookbook.
The “real” kids got him.... nothing? Did I miss something in the video?

They wont be able to see Elijah though. They get one day to video chat family on Christmas and Mother Day any other time its once a week. I highly doubt its to see him and I highly doubt they will be able to see him in person.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to Daniel's senior trip...he just turned 18, so he's for one of those late fall birthdays that could mean he falls into two different graduating class years. Even though he isn't in a normal school situation, they might be considering the current school yearto be his "senior year". That would mean he gets his senior trip next year. Who knows, I could be wrong, just speculating. I'm actually thinking that they are going somewhere in SE Asia, maybe Thailand? Once you get there, everything is very cheap, so they could do a nice resort, boat tours, elephant rescue farms, dinners out, etc., for not much $$. There are lots of deals on airfair to that part of the world at this time of year.

I wonder what's going to happen when the Dotetta bubble bursts. I do hope that they are saving chunks of money for when that happens. VERY VERY VERY VERY few MLM's stand the test of time and from what I am hearing, the essential oil wave is on the back end.

Elijah isn't traveling to Japan until the middle of december. All missionaries have to go thru a 2 month training course to learn how to act like/talk like/walk like an LDS traveling salesman or saleswoman. So, all those tears at the airport like Meggie was shipping her only son off to war. Yeah. He was going to Provo. Utah.

The trip is happening after Christmas- she said they would not be telling the kids until Christmas morning.
Megan has also said that when it comes to the Senior trips it needs not be “too far east” or west however you look at it. Which disqualifies Asia and Africa. She said this when Elijah was choosing but I cant find the video. She said to keep it as close as possible.
