She did say that. I can remember commenting on it at the time.
I for one, found her whole attitude to Chinese culture so disrespectful on Daniel’s birthday vlog. The use of Chinese style music was deplorable and almost verging on mocking the culture. It shows how out of touch with reality, she actually really is!

I totally felt that too. Once that chinese-eque music started I was thinking, WTF. "Mocking the culture" <-----Nailed it. How about you take an afternoon with your child and have him explain everything you are looking at and how it's used in his indigenous culture instead of flopping around the aisles saying "this looks weird..." Seriously? All of these missed opportunities from Meggie. She's so f'in self absorbed she doesn't even realize what she's doing. I am genuinely SHOCKED she didn't announce in the asian market that she was bored and wanted to speed to the closest thrift store....

Her reasoning was not losing too much time traveling, which makes sense. If you have a set amount of days, you would not want to lose nearly 2 days each way just on travel.
I have a feeling the rules will change for the rest of the kids though, and it will suddenly be somewhere on the same continent. Except maybe Andrew, the amazing know everything about everything child.
Daniels going to end up with a trip to China Town in NYC, if he even gets anything.
I hope the family trip is to China, all the kids deserve a trip back to their birth country.
I thought the Asian music was super tacky too. And of course she couldn’t just have a day dedicated to Daniel, she needed to add in rearranging furniture because that’s one of her favorite hobbies.

Yeah so thats why I highly doubt they will be traveling anywhere in Asia or Africa.. if they were going to do that it would be for the golden child Elijah... and his trip was pretty far out. It damn sure wont be for poor Daniel. Like mentioned he will get stuck with China Town in NYC and be made to believe its just as epic as the real thing. The rest of the kids will be ignored. Andrew will go to Washington DC where he will claim to be the next US president because he is the knower of all knowledge and will catapult far beyond anyone else his age because well he’s just a fccking genius!!! Esther seems too easy to please and will settle for a Florida trip. Pearl will go to California, the dreaded twins whatever their names are will go to Texas and Eve and Jude will follow suit with what mom and dad wants. By then they might be done out of money though. Shits expensive.
It almost sounded like a homeschool spoof when Meghan was talking about how educational dungeons and dragons is. That was just laughable. Besides the terrariums, all I saw was hobbies, crafts, errands, and games. Those things of course have importance but they aren’t going to get you very far far in life if they ever decide to they want a career requiring actually schooling. No amount of blabbing from Megan is going to make me believe their version of school is a viable means of education.
Meggie must be asleep and not monitoring comments. I haven't even watched the new homeschool video yet and was just reading thru the comments....
"You should really not teach your kids ok to just bring wild animals inside to be pets. If the wild animals are injured or in unsafe conditions you should bring them to a rescue. I’m from Canada so it may be different down there but it’s illegal to do what you are doing."
"Please don’t use your phone/film while in control of your car. It’s distracting and may cause an accident "
There is a bunch more too....bahahahahahahahaha! These guys are CLUELESSSSSSSSSSSS. Those poor kids are going to wonder why they can't "make it" out in the real world one day...
Megan seriously needs medication. I can hardly get thru this unschooling video. In fact, I haven't gotten thru it all the way get but I just had to come and vent. Did she or did she not go on a ranting tangent in their homesteading video about how they want to live out in the middle of nowhere, want a homestead, they want to grow their own food, collect rainwater, live where it feels isolated an "oh so magical..." blah blah blah....am I dreaming that up!!?? And then she caught so much backlash that her instagram stories were filled with pics of small knorpps petting pigs and shit with her declaring that they have DONE this before, they PERFECTED the art of homesteading, and that they were dying to do it again....
Now, in THIS video she LITERALLY JUST WENT ON AN OPPOSITE TANGENT. "Unschooling requires SO MUCH DRIVING, we need to be close to town, we need a sense of community. We used to live on a farm and we were not good at growing plants...." B!t$h, I thought you were going to collect rainwater to provide for your bountiful crop of food to feed your small village out there in the mountains of North Carolina, and now you say you suck at gardening!!?? WTF! Someone PLEASE tell me I am not making this up.
"I want them to have cultural experiences....there is a candy store in town..." Culture and Candy Store do not belong in the same sentence.
This might be it for me. My bull$hit meter is about to explode on these people.

Oh my goodness, I haven’t watched the new video and most likely wont. Im atleast 50 videos behind, one day I just grew tired of them but WOW this post. Megan literallly contradicts herself in the same sentence atleast 50 times. Wtf one minute shes buying land and bare wood to build the house themselves out in Timbuktu now she needs a town????? I cannot with these people

Yes, so...also in her car ranting (WHILE DRIVING WITH ALL THE KIDS IN THE CAR) she mentioned that the property they are closing on is "taking forever" because "the lady they are buying it from needs to stay there while her new house was being completed." I called that crap. I KNEW they weren't going to buy land once they really started to figure costs out. Can't wait to see the place they bought, that's probably not that bad, and then watch Megan quickly destroy it with her 3 legged thrift store tables and rusty $60 kitchen carts to wheel all her hoarding shit around the house from room to room.

I wonder what “semi retirement” from DoTerra means.
They need an income of at least 150K a year to maintain their lifestyle.

It’s so sad that with 5 Asian children, they don’t do anything to honor that heritage. It’s really sad that Daniel had to request a trip to a grocery store for his birthday. They need to incorporate that heritage into daily life. They should have Asian meals at least one nice a week. Their children should all be comfortable with Asian culture and foods, and Daniel, Pearl, Esther, Jude, and Eve should all understand the heritage of where they came from.
They were not just suddenly American. They should have just as clear of an understanding of home as they do of here.
Did you notice how I think it was in the vlog before Daniel's birthday vlog, the "Goodbye Halloween" vlog, Jude asked Megan what holiday was next after Halloween and she seemed very hurt and quick to correct him when he said Christmas? "Don't skip Thanksgiving." with her witchy finger pointed up at him. (I've put a link to the exact time it starts)
Her face in that thumbnail on YT is creepy, shes becoming masculine
My posts on this board are only my opinion and shouldnt be taken as fact, unless noted
This is off color but I think appropriate for showing how Mike and Megan make their money besides YouTube. MLM aka pyramid schemes. John Oliver HBO episode on YouTube.

Love John Oliver! So happy he got rid of the bangs.
His show is hilarious as is the video on MLM. Too bad it is also so disturbing at the same time. I can just see Megan up in front of crowds of people at the DoTerra meetings... singing, dancing, and lying about how great being a part of the business is. She reminds me of that Jim Jones lookalike character. Creepy as hell!

I can't believe they took a wild animal and trapped it in a small cage like that. What a moron.
And spent time and a lot of money buying crap for it. Improper stuff at that, like sand.
It's so cruel. It's also illegal where we are. I can't believe she thinks it's acceptable or something to post publicly to thousands of people. I'm so disgusted with her but I always find her so irritating now. Initially I thought they were interesting but she's so annoying it's almost intriguing! I get narcissistic vibes from her and she's so inauthentic. She's such a try hard.
