Adam goes in for routine surgery and now Bri understands the vow "in sickness or health". And she's glad they are through it and love each other so much.

She looked after her dad - that's being sick! Adam isn't chronically ill or disabled, and obviously has medical care in a country where only the privilege get proper healthcare. She has no idea ...

And what happened with all of the counselling and family meetings? A few months goes by (including her dad's death and world travel) with no more mentions of it and now they are good? I don't buy it.

Not sure if it was mentioned but from what i gather his surgery was for his hernia. On her IG story she said something like "You c-section mamas should understand."

Ugh nothing more aggravating than when she shows him slurring his words and high on pain pills. Gross. Also my husband had hernia surgery and took the pain pills for one day after. After that he alternated Motrin and Tylenol. He couldn’t take two whole weeks off work. So must be pretty nice how Bri said Adam can’t drive for two weeks (or presumably work) due to pain meds. They are trash.

(For the sake of the kids, really hope it was a rumour) My first thought when she posted about this surgery was that he's probably going to get prescribed a bunch of pain killers, and way more than he probably needs which seems to be what doctors do these days!

Is it? Doctors are now heavily regulated when prescribing pain meds. For surgery you're given an allotted amount, usually 5-7 days worth, depending on the surgery, then are put on ibuprofen and Tylenol back to back. Of course people doctor shop, so in the news this is where you start hearing about overdoses and doctors doling it out like it's candy when someone has abused not only the drug, but the system. a patient makes those shady choices and still the doctors are blamed because it's 'so easy' to get pain meds. It's not easy for the doctors with regulations. Not only are doctors regulated, the pharmacies scan your license and your pain meds are tracked.
Adam could be doctor shopping from his general, to a pain med specialist, to an ortho surgeon...who knows. Or he may be doing nothing. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out since she's being cagey about the details.

this a million times. i've on a pain management program for over two years it is so hard to get the medication even when you need it. No one else can pick up my script I have to sign and show and id and I cannot drive so I have to get a ride. I can only fill it with the pharmacy I sign a contract and I cannot go to any other pharmacy even if its a walgreens I cannot go to another one if mine doesn't have the medication. I had a full knee replacement I wasn't prescribed any other pain meds and two days later on xmas eve was in the er with excruciating pain why because of abusers its beyond difficult to get the medication when you need it.

Ah, I didn't realise any of this - good to know! I do hope Adam doesn't have any issues with it anyway, but at least there are regulations in place to prevent abuse of meds.

See I had an orthopedic surgery recently, very painful, tons of plates and pins. The doctor had no issue writing scripts. I’ve worked in ortho, most doctors will write the script. It’s the pharmacy that pushes back because they are legally required to. I do believe there are specific regulations by state however. I felt awful taking anything truthfully. For the sake of those kids I hope Adam doesn’t actually abuse his meds.

That latest vlog was so cringey to watch...constantly shoving a camera in Adam's face and "trying to make him laugh" when he is clearly uninterested. All sitting around the table with hot chocolate, it's all so forced for the camera it's unbearable.

Also, for those who are not in the chronic pain community, pain killer addiction is actually not that common in people with conditions that require even high dose/type meds. (12+ years here). The stats are actually lower that the same drug addiction in general population.

The issue is addicts doctor shopping claiming the ailments we have to get "better" drugs. Because pain is subjective to all stimuli, it's hard to create a baseline so it's up to the patient and doctor to determine what is the right cause of action. This, and lots of other elements, creates inconsistency that can be used.

Whether or not Adam has pain, has meds or any combination of circumstances - it doesn't mean he is having 'fun' with his meds. Who knows, he could be taking them under doctors supervision after sustaining a lifelong injury and he spiralled with depression/grief of this and mixed in alcohol for the videos we've seen. His doctor maybe fully aware of what is happening (you get very close to your providers when chronically ill, even with the 'hidden' and 'secret' parts of your life) and the family is just adjusting.

Then again, we have no idea and they are so manic, who knows what's going on. I just thought I'd put the info out there because I've seen a few posts basically saying once you take meds, it's a quick journey to drug addiction when it's not at all.

No, it’s through Amazon’s guidelines. I guess because she hosted her giveaway through them, and they won’t pay her for her affiliate links. I didn’t listen to her ramble the entire time but something along those lines. The rant was on stories today

Yeah basically she hosted the giveaway and had people make amazon wishlists that she would then buy things off of and send to them. I thought it was pretty generous of her! But of course Amazon said wait only we can profit from this so screw you haha. Not like they need the money!!

I have a small business and have an amazon affiliate link. They are horrible to deal with. They have a million rules and pay out every 2 months at the very end of the month. She has such a big following I guarantee they owed her several thousand dollars for the last couple months. I have seen several people where they owed them thousands but once they close your account they wont pay you and there is basically nothing anyone can do about it.
Its good extra money but when your making thousands like im sure she is they look for anything they can to shut you down so they don't have to pay.
