Re: Knorpp and South: Manic Megan’s Pinterest Palace | Part 2
Just finished watching their vlog. They are totally nuts. It’s all about Megan and what she wants. The hell with the kids! If you think they’re going to love it there and go for all the cultural stuff she wants them to do....I don’t believe that’s going to happen. It looks like a poor neighborhood. Some of the other houses are like the one they bought. This process is going to be interesting.

What in the delusional hell is this house. $299!!?? At least they had enough sense to not offer full price but sweet jesus even the taxes on a house that shitty is high. Taxes are over 3k per year. They will also be outbuilding that neighborhood, if they refurb that whole thing and add a second story, you never want to be the biggest most expensive house on the block, and at the rate it's looking it will be the priciest in the whole dang 36' zip code. When they go to resell (because lets be honest....it's happening....) they will never get their money out of it.

I agree, just from the little snippet I saw out the window of the other homes... if they upgrade this house and add a level they will stick out like a sore thumb in that run down old looking neighborhood. Why oh why did they pick this neighborhood that looks like no children live in or adults under the age 55 live. The kids were already screaming at the top of their lungs running around in the back yard, I can see them being a nuisance to the others living there already. Yikes!SNT41007 wrote:What in the delusional hell is this house. $299!!?? At least they had enough sense to not offer full price but sweet jesus even the taxes on a house that shitty is high. They moved there because Megan loves the neighborhood. It’s walking distance to the library and everything cultural! She thinks the kids will utilize the library. Then in the same vlog, she talking about adding a reading room for all her thrift store books she has bought!TrashTalk00 wrote:I agree, just from the little snippet I saw out the window of the other homes... if they upgrade this house and add a level they will stick out like a sore thumb in that run down old looking neighborhood. Listening to her talk about how she wants this house redone without any consideration for the existing plumbing/ect...omg. It doesn't work that way Meggie, unless you want to spend a million dollars. Yes, lets just put stairs in the middle of the house and put this there and that there and this over here and that over there....YES! Perfect! While we are at it, lets build a bridge from New York to England because if we can say it out loud it must be possible, right!!??
Re: Knorpp and South: Manic Megan’s Pinterest Palace | Part 2
You don't even need to see the snippets of what's out the windows, you can google the street. A super duper simple zillow search on how she described the house literally brought it right up. Maybe the old experienced realtor in me made it easier, but seriously, it took 3 minutes to find it.TrashTalk00 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 2:53 pmI agree, just from the little snippet I saw out the window of the other homes... if they upgrade this house and add a level they will stick out like a sore thumb in that run down old looking neighborhood. Excluding the terrible house for the price, I can already foresee complications in their renovations. $10 says there's asbestos under the carpet under the dining room and under the laminate in the kitchen which will probably make things a bit more difficult. And if that popcorn ceiling has asbestos in it... yeah. Buying a 60's era house like that to renovate is not worth it.
I agree with others. Outbuilding your neighbors like that will be a nuisance for the neighbors and is a complete waste of money. They would have better luck buying a spec house with 2k sq ft instead if they wanted to go small...

Haven’t tried yet but im a pretty good investigator lol im sure ill find it. I honestly didnt even care to see it because I know its old and run down. Part of me thinks that the reason they kept renting these big nice spacious houses instead of buying one is because they cannot afford it. They cant afford to buy or build a house to accommodate all the kids reasonably. I mean they might as well keep renting. 11 people in 1,800sqft is unrealistic and crammed to me. So instead they buy a overpriced, old, smelly home from the 60’s and plan to add on to it???? What in fucks sakeSNT41007 wrote:You don't even need to see the snippets of what's out the windows, you can google the street. It's going to be awful living in that tiny house, especially when they're all on top of each other all of the time because the parents work from home and the children are UNSCHOOLING.
I live in England and I'm pretty sure they would be overcrowding by law.

Re: Knorpp and South: Manic Megan’s Pinterest Palace | Part 2
I just mapped the street the house is on...OMG those houses are pretty close together and the street isn't even a full 2 car width street. They are going to have all those kids home, all the time, with animals and everything else. I foresee noise complaints in their future. It's an older neighborhood and the listing even described the 1960's house with only having 2 owners, so you know it's an aging neighborhood in terms of demographics. I feel so so terrible for those neighbors. I would be so pissed if I wanted to be on a sleepy street and suddenly the circus set up their headquarters 200 feet from my house.

Not sure about legit rules on posting. But me personally I refrain from posting actually listings or giving away exact street numbers or addresses, just a personal thing and I respect others privacy and dont agree with blasting peoples addresses online for millions to see but, someone did it in a different thread and it ultimately got deleted but not sure if there were consequences. Based on info already given I wouldn’t be opposed to giving the city or zip code and let others do the rest, I dont feel as guilty that way.SNT41007 wrote:Can we post links here? I will share how I found it, and it's all in their videos....and I just comped other recently sold homes in that town and they GROSSLY GROSSLY GROSSLY overpaid. OMG. There are houses in much better, updated condition on similar land, newer in age for less than half of what they paid.
Zillow, look "north of Charlotte" on the map view. Change to recently sold. Put in 3 bedrooms. Between 1/4 and 1 Acre built between 1950 and 1970, since she said a 1960's home...like 3 homes pop up, and then you can match the listing pics with their video.

Just found the house. I don’t see anything cultural or library within walking distance. Looks like to me they will be driving around a lot.

Well, if you count "carolina cones" ice cream shop as cultural then they hit the jackpot.SweetiePie60 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:32 pm Just found the house. I don’t see anything cultural or library within walking distance. Looks like to me they will be driving around a lot.

Also wondering where in the heck are they going to park their extra long travel trailer...backyard? Davidson must have super loose codes if they can have chickens and trailers on the property. Yikes.

I'll buy that.NarcoelpsyMom wrote:Never confirmed, no, but... now that someone has mentioned it, I can see it. She has Down syndrome, unless I am very mistaken. Very different.
And I wonder how much Pearl just sucks it up because she knows screaming and crying is pointless. You can handle a lot of pain when you have to.

While not common, dual diagnosis are not unheard of.

Re: Knorpp and South: Manic Megan’s Pinterest Palace | Part 2
For the kids’ sake I’m glad they ditched the Boone homestead from scratch in the middle of nowhere idea BUT this just speaks to Megan’s manic ways. Took a vacation there, decided she needed to buy land and build in the middle of nowhere, had some sense knocked into her, and ended up in this new super odd choice. Plus, half an acre in a neighborhood is seriously not that much. Guess she couldn’t handle the 50 chicken and two llama lifestyle she claimed she could. They probably picked an old house to fit Megan’s retro vibe so she can put her thrift store crap on every single wall and call it mid century modern. She seriously makes zero sense and it’s dizzying to keep up with.

Hahahaha...Carolina Cones! The travel travel has to go in the backyard. There is no place in the street for it unless they put in the driveway and the cars in the backyard.SNT41007 wrote:Well, if you count "carolina cones" ice cream shop as cultural then they hit the jackpot.SweetiePie60 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 4:32 pm Just found the house.
