He really is an idiot if he is counting “moving” like that. He is rewriting history. Mikey boy, you can’t pretend that the slate was cleared once you moved back to the states.
Not mentioning all the moves they did WHILE in Europe and prior to that. When they were back in the states, didn’t they rent a house before they moved into the big house? Then they bought all the things. Because Megan got rid of everything they owned and claimed to be a minimalist. Then they moved back to NC and, I don’t care who you are, they will be moving again once the new/old house is finished. Guaranteed it won’t be the last time. Isn’t this supposed to be their “forever house?”

I saw the looks on those kids faces. They are NOT happy with that dump.

Melissa is redoing a camper trailer so Megan has to redo a whole house. Those two sure do copy each other a lot. Not sure which one copies the other the most.

Oh.. and how about regular checkups and doctor`s appointments for the kids. They can't do that, but they can spend three days in a row at an architect's office while Esther babysits. I am pretty sure that architect could not stand them

Again, I say watch "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House", lol. The architect in that movie was ready to throttle Cary Grant.
And Mike and Megan are nowhere near as likable as Myrna Loy and Cary Grant!

I know this last house is close to the current rental so it would not apply, but I have always kind of wondered if they move so much because they have so many people in their downline who feel like they were scammed?

That architect in the video looked so uncomfortable. I'm sure they (probably?) asked to vlog there but who knows? She could've just whipped the camera out and started it up. I wonder if she counted on getting some sort of discount from a firm if she shouted them out? Same with the contractor she'll have to hire.

I just don't understand remodeling an old house like that. There's bound to be lots of problems getting it done. It's not just sticking peel and stick laminate down in a brand new RV. There will be asbestos they'll have to work around or have removed (which is big bucks) and it will take even longer. Plus, three bedrooms for ten people? Even their 3000+ square foot house now seems too full for them all. I can't imagine going any smaller while letting the kids have personal space. Mike a Megan get to have their alone time every night in their master suite but the kids have to endure spending every night jam packed into small bedrooms? Even with a boy/girl room setup, they're housing older teens with 6/10 year olds. Teens especially need alone time since it's a key time for them. I just... I get so angry for those children. They need their own rooms (or just two person rooms at the most) and a stable life.

I can't believe that they had enough foresight to bring an architect to a showing, but not to consult a contractor on cost per sq ft for a rebuild/addition/upgrades. Of COURSE an architect will tell you what you want to hear. Can a second story go on this house? SURE! (But it will cost $xxx) Can we put the kitchen here? SURE! (But we will need to change the plumbing an electrical so if we do that it would be an extra 50k on top of the 85K kitchen redo, if you leave it where it is, it will save you 50K...) <---things a BUILDER could have helped with, not an architect. The way she explained her thinking on pricing will go is not how how it's typically done. Custom home builders don't piece meal architect plans like a freaking a la carte menu. They will be sticker shocked. Plus, think of all the revisions and the COST of those revision from the architects plans. Don't want that built in? Okay, need to redraw the plans....that's going to cost 35k? Scratch that. Okay, so redraw the plans.....There is no way what that guy drew and what's pre-existing and the work that has to be done is anything less than 300k. Also, retro fitting and using existing stuff is WAY harder and more time consuming then just starting over. AND WHY HAS NO ONE COMMENTED ABOUT REUSING SMOKE LADEN MATERIALS FROM THAT HOUSE IN THE REBUILD. She said the woman that lived there was a smoker...everything must be coated in nicotine, so lets reuse it. GROSS. And now, if you go as planned you have a 600k house in a 200-250k neighborhood. Awesome. Be on the lookout for a the Knorpp rental property in downtown Davidson. They wont follow thru. She will rent that house to her brother until he figures out his own life (why is this a trend in Megan's family, no one can seem to get their shit together, I would be mortified as an adult to have to rely on someone else like that for shelter for my family)and then they will sell it and look for something pre existing that doesn't need custom work to make it "close enough" and then the video explaining their poor planning and f' up will be excused with "we just didn't want to take that time to do it, we would rather focus on experiences in other places then to deal with the hassle of the contractor...." I can't help but notice that Megs hasn't said the word "magical" once in the last few videos. Her enthusiasm and spark for THIS project will die soon.

They are so freaking focused on where the sun rises and sets on their house that can't even see how what they are doing doesn't make sense. Lets put the master RIGHT by the kitchen. You know Megs wants her sleep...she will get disrupted with noise every morning from the kids fending for themselves trying to make breakfast. The kitchen on the OPPOSITE side of the house from where the door it?? Have FUN carrying all your costo jumbo packs of food thru the ENTIRE house before you get to a counter. Is no one else seeing that!!??

This has been an awesomely horrible process to watch. I’ve been avoiding it, mostly due to the second hand cringe of how they would treat someone else’s “fixer upper” on a public platform. I finally watched the most recent video and had the horrifying realization that this is shockingly similar to a house I am building LITERALLY RIGHT NOW.

The idea that they’re going to get a bathroom in the attic space next to the little room upstairs is laughable. And Fitting 3 sofas in that living room? Yeahhhh. And you can totally have a little coffee area in front of the veranda but how ya gonna open those doors?! I guess you won’t....

I understand that I build in a low COL area but they could’ve bought a lot and built this house for around maybe a little more than the price they paid for the house as it is. Also how much you want to bet that’s a 2x4 built tract home? You want to put a loft space and a high pitch roof on that?! I love the idea that Megan thought they could maybe raise the roof. Yes, by building A NEW HOUSE.

And don’t even get me started on that white and black farmhouse chic bullshit exterior. If you’re building in an existing neighborhood, build it to fit in! Sure, a little nicer, a little more modern, a little bigger, but match the era a little bit! Admittedly I haven’t looked at street view but that house belongs in a magazine, not in a neighborhood. I’ve never seen one that didn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

The entire street/neighborhood/section of town is single story, brick, 1200to 1500 sq ft slab ranch style homes built between 1962 and 1968. The biggest variation is shutters or no shutters, and if shutters...the color. I figured I would save you the trouble and time of looking.

My thoughts; if you’re going to put your life on the internet then you need to be ready for the consequences. It’s not hard in today’s world to find out information on anyone/anything. They’ve made the choice knowing what the internet is and still continue.

I'm sure any one of you're kids can look up this pintrest page for ideas and come across these so called 'secrets'. Quick to blame others instead of admitting it is you're fault. Correct me if I’m wrong but who has talked about Andrew finding pamphlets here?? How would we even know that information, like did Megan share that somewhere? Unless I missed something that makes me think it’s not someone from this site and someone Andrew knows?

Also if the person is actually from here, I’m sure it’s against site rules to contact youtubers, especially kids...that’s just not cool and gives youtubers actual ammo to use against this site.

Also LOL that she likes the title name. I expect we’ll be getting a slew of new secret haters and defenders coming our way. I still have trouble believing none of the kids have ever looked at her Pinterest boards also or that she had no idea those were public.
