Re: Rachelle and Justin: Poisoned pets, debt and child neglect | Part 24
I have a feeling that it’s not just plain stupid parenting that got Emma into this situation. It’s true, their parenting is lacking to say the least, however I can’t help but think that it all boils down to losing Brynn.
They haven’t dealt with her death the best way, jumped into the transfer with Emma too soon. The excitement wore off around 3-4 months after Emma was born, you can see it in Trashy’s eyes. She’s a wreck (depressed who knows) and unable to do simple tasks to provide a nurturing environment in which Emma could thrive.
Maybe I’m wrong, I guess if Emma is on the spectrum, than it’s nothing they could have done, but it’s still no excuse for the poor child being deprived of adequate attention.

Uninformed, yes, but if they don't watch her Youtube channel, they likely have no idea of the extent that Emma's delayed. Some kids just don't speak much - both my husband and my uncle were quiet kids who didn't really speak until one day, they started speaking in full sentences according to my MIL and grandma. No delays or anything. The difference is that both were still developmentally normal in other areas and their pediatricians saw no cause for concern. Emma is clearly behind even to the untrained eye, and her ped is worried about her. That should be enough for anyone to seek outside therapy.fossilfinger wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 11:33 am at that comment that "some kids are just lazy." Really? Too lazy to express what they want verbally? Most kids are eager to communicate. What an uninformed and insulting comment.

Re: Rachelle and Justin: Poisoned pets, debt and child neglect | Part 24
It just cannot be a coincidence that a majority of of these YT mom's kids are speech delayed. KK, rachelle, Tara henderson, just to name a few. It's GOT to have to do with the fact that these kid's parents are overly invested in social media - filming, editing, scouring the comment section of their YT, IG and Twitter for any negative stuff they can delete, all the time spent on Instagram to keep up with the other YT moms, posting stories, commenting on YTer's stuff all day (only to get seen and gain more followers, obviously), all that time spent looking for brand deals to make a quick buck,.... the list goes on
I will dare say Rachelle and all these other pathetic YT "moms" spend 70-80% of their time behind a screen, be it their cameras, their phones or their laptops. Their kids have a camera/phone shoved in their faces the majority of the day, rather than spending actual, quality one-on-one time with the full focus of their parent. And THAT is why the children of family vloggers tend to be developmentally delayed.
The fact that family vlogging is still a thing and that these children have to suffer because of their parent's unwillingness to make a living from something other than putting their kid's lives on the internet, makes my blood boil.

Just started watching the vlog.
It’s so incredibly rude of Rachelle to not blur the faces of children and parents sitting in the waiting room of a pediatrician. Talk about invasion of privacy. I don’t care if only a small amount of the population watches her videos, it’s incredibly wrong to not think of others.

So I can definitely say parenting is not always akin to delays. Just because R+J ignore Emma doesn't mean all kids who have disabilities or delays have shitty parents.
However, I guess what worries me is that we criticize Rachelle and Justin for being lazy from WHAT WE SEE. And what we see is their best behavior on camera. I shutter to think how much they ignore Emma off camera.
The whole new vlog screamed: KISS MY ASS AND TELL ME HOW MUCH OF A GOOD MOTHER I AM.

Their home feels sterile. Wouldn't one of the first things you would do is make sure Emma has a finished room. There's nothing on her walls, the paint is horrible. Rachelle hates painting but what about Justin? Put him to WORK! Why don't they put a bow or something in the kids hair? Dress her cute? Poor kid doesn't have much going for her.

I call BS on how Rachelle has been worried about Emma’s speech for a month. Nope. She’s been worried for 3 days. Since she saw that adorable baby her friend had and the kids are only 3 days apart. I bet she couldn’t believe her eyes about how different the two toddlers acted.

You can see how much they ignore her just in this vlog alone. Emma wants attention from her parents. Just because she’s eating doesn’t mean you should just leave her in the corner and ignore her. That’s why she was whining she wanted someone to sit by her and talk to her. Rachelle needs to put the camera down and spend time with Emma! It’s only going to get worse once the twins come. Poor Emma is just a forgotten toy.

I am beginning to think that Rachelle is one of those moms who only likes being a mom during the baby phase. Now that Emma is getting older and requires more interaction then just lounging like a potato Rachelle can't handle it. I feel like those toys only came out for the camera in Emmas bedroom. She legit doesn't have much to interact with and learn from... It's all about keeping things as minimal as possible. Not that kids need a ton of toys but the toys she has aren't even good for development.
In todays video she said Emmas room was almost done and it's like.. there is a crib and a chest. How depressing.

I literally had to pause and come here.... RASH YOU IDIOT, you're freaking out because your child may have speech delays??
Turn of the damn camera, and instead of turning the pages and saying "kitty" READ TO HER!!!!! HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK A CHILD'S SPEECH IMPROVES??? YOU READ, YOU SPEAK REAL ADULT WORDS TO HER!!
it's not kitty, say that's a cat. Say dog or puppy!!! Teach her dont just point with your grimy hulk fingers. Pull your head out of keren and YouTubes ass and open your eyes and realize that there are so many ways you can improve her speech at home. And If she needs help, that's okay! I'm all for her actually being open with emma's possible delay and not hiding it but a child's first teacher and learning environment is their parents and home so stfu about talking to a stupid camera and be the best parent for your child. Who gives a shit about those dumbasses on youtube, show up for your kid!!! Fuck

Seriously, even if they're hurting for money, where's the cheapy block set? The plastic cube with the cut out shapes? A baby puzzle? Oversized crayons? Half the fun of having kids is getting to buy those gaudy colorful toys that you had as a kid and play with them with your kid. Hell, since she wants to go thrift shopping so badly, go to the local goodwill and buy some gently used discounted baby toys.LisaLulu22 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 1:48 pm I am beginning to think that Rachelle is one of those moms who only likes being a mom during the baby phase. Just watched the vlog and that is exactly what I thought about the toys- and not just this vlog. In every single video of theirs you can witness that this kid has absolutely no idea how to play. It is so obvious that she does not interact with toys on a regular basis. The only thing I have ever seen her do with toys is throw them around. That is literally it.
And then Rachelle went on about how Emma understands so much because she reacts to things - I mean who are they trying to fool? Seriously, there is countless proof in their vlogs that this kid does not at all react to her name being called let alone any other thing that is asked of her. I do not believe at all that she was completely honest to the doctor about the extend of that kid's delays.
And is it just me or does Emma look more and more boyish by the day, there is absolutely nothing girly about her at all - even less than it used to be.

I can’t stand Rachelle but as a mom I feel for her.

I don’t think Emma has autism. I think she’s probably taken after her parents and is not very bright. That combined with a la I of good parenting skills has left Emma behind.

Why the hell does she even keep trying to get Emma to say kitty instead of just cat. Cat is such an early word for toddlers to learn especially since they HAVE A CAT.

She’s crying about Emma’s speech delay, as we see Emma in the background watching tv while she eats what did you expect was gonna have Rachelle?

“It’s obviously nothing we have done wrong”
Eh. What? Im sorry but if they were actually reading picture books to her, attending playgroups with kids similar age, talking to her like a human- not a bloody dog, access to age appropriate toys, interacting with her without a camera in her face and generally not rushing her childhood- perhaps they wouldn’t have found themselves in this situation.
I feel for emma, she got the shit end of the stick in the parents department.
So many alarm bells from that one vlog. Pushing chairs around the waiting room vs playing with toys, rashs big explanation about emma drinking milk out of a starbucks cup but she wont do it at home out of another cup, her screeching in the highchair (shouldnt she be saying mama or similar to get her attention??). And i stopped at 8 mins.

“She wants me to sit with her in her high chair”
No, Rash. She wants you to sit next to her. Something you could’ve done if you had an actual dining room table. OR, pull her high chair up by the bar and sit there. Anything! Absolutely anything!
You looked ridiculous talking about her speech delays while you sat with your back towards her, the TV on in the background as her entertainment, and you ignoring her attempts to communicate with you.
Make an effort.

Emma's speech is a little behind but to me the bigger issue is how little emotion and personality she shows. I've been around lots of babies and I've never seen one that showed as little emotion and personality as she does. It does make me wonder if there isn't something more going on. But on the other hand they clearly have no idea what to do to keep a toddler busy or what a toddler needs to be able to learn and develop. They need colorful stuff and books and toys. They need to be read to. They need to be talked to(and not like your talking to animal). All they want to do is stick her in front a movie and that's not good for her development.

Re: Rachelle and Justin: Poisoned pets, debt and child neglect | Part 24
This is an all too familiar story. I thought that when Emma was around 12/13 months that something seemed a little off. Her language/speech didn't seem to be hitting the age milestones. She doesn't smile. She lacks emotion altogether. It is NOT hard to get a child to laugh, giggle or even smile.
My nephew didn't speak for a very very long time. It started off with speech therapy and by aged 4 he was diaganosed with autism. I am not a doctor at all but it's not hard to out two and two together. It is evident that deep down Rachelle is worried about autism in her post to that group.
TV, pacifiers etc won't help and I believe that autism is a combination of both environment and genetics. So Emma may have been predisposed to autism but it was her environment that didn't help as well.
Yes to the person who connected the dots with YT's and their children lacking developmentally, eg. KK etc I 100% agree. I hope these changes affect family vloggers. These Children are working for their families and their development is being affected ie. LACKING.
If Trash does read here and thinks "they only see 10 mins of my day" then we would all be wrong and Emma would be speaking ............ your parenting sucks ..... Poor Emma and poor twins. Get yo shit together, turn the TV off, put the camera down and parent.
