I totally agree with you Alysia887. These poor children are no more than circus animals.
We have seen what thiskind of exposure does to children, just think of Drew Barrymore, Lindsay Logan, and more recently Ariel Winter. It is so sad, these children will never know what privacy is. They will suffer the consequences of lazy, greedy parents.
I really hope, but very much doubt that the YT parents are putting the hard earned money (by the children!) away for them. At least it will go some way towards paying for therapy. God I hope they get some help and counselling.

probably the only exception to YT kids delayed speech etc. would be Cullen and katie’s kids. Gaines is smart and has been speaking clearly since at least a year old. Now Katie is a psychologist and has NEVER spoken to hear kids in a baby voice. Trashy and other YT mom should take note!!
Now I haven’t watched many since Brooks has been born. So I don’t know about his speech etc.

I totally cannot stand how anytime Emma shows a slight bit of interest in anything new- Rash is like she's literally obsessed with such and such now.
No, She's interested in it. Get that damn camera out of her face and do things with her. Get her educational toys, how about Mom & Dad get down on the floor and read to her together. I feel so sorry for Emma and these unborn twins.

We turn and face her while we all eat so she can interact with us.. It's literally not hard at all...
Now that she is on the essential oils bandwagon, we will see Emma get diagnosed with autism in the next 6-12 months and trash will blame vaccines for it. Anyone want to take this bet?

What was the bad news rash was talking about?
You guys are always talking about all this stuff they should be doing with emma but what do you recommend? My son is a few weeks younger than emma and i feel like im running out of activities for us to do...i try to read to him but he grabs the book and just wants to turn pages so i don't do that as often (still try sometimes though) but i do CONSTANTLY talk to him. I sit on the floor and play with him and i try to mention color/shape/size/ animal to him (ex: you have the red block and mommy has the blue block, thats an elephant, thats a big circle... You get the point lol). We've tried edible paint and playdoh but he doesn't care about playing with it he just shoves it in his mouth lol. We used a water table a few times but its pretty cold here now and since he only splashes in it we cant bring it inside.
He isn't really around other babies his age but when he is he beats them up (he is pretty big for his age so most 1 year olds are smaller than him) so im not sure about a mommy and me class or anything where he would be around other babies/toddlers but i would love that.
I know this isn't really the place for mommy advice but you guys seem so educated on the subject

It sounds like you’re doing all the right things to me. As long as he has toys to play with and you are interacting with him he will be fine. He will eventually become more interested in books. Even if he turns the page you can still read what’s on that page or just point to the picture and tell him what it is. It’s the lack of interaction from Rash and Justin that’s the problem with Emma. They just shove her in front of the tv. You sound like you’re a great Mom!MamaTweet wrote:What was the bad news rash was talking about?

Tell me about it, my 5 month old is so hard to keep occupied!!! He gets bored so quickly. I have blocks, a bouncer, his play mat, so many toys that sing and lots of teethers and he loves his stuffed animals. And we have 3 shelves of books we go through every few days. It's hard keeping these little people occupied and mentally stimulated all day every day but as long as you're trying and not shoving an iPad or tv in their face all day, you're doing good.MamaTweet wrote:What was the bad news rash was talking about?

The weather here sucks too but bundling up and going for a walk helps. I have a starbucks close by and If i havent left the house in a day or two I take a walk and treat myself and little guy loves looking at what's going on outside. And sometimes he naps (mom win)
Our library offers many classes, our community center has swim classes and thered even ballroom dancing for babies and parents. There are so many things you could do with your littles, just do some research in your area!

You’re gonna wind up doing the same activities over and over again. The focus shouldn’t necessarily be on NEW EXCITING CRAZY activities. I always focus on the development of the child’s skill in that activity. It’s watching him advance from chewing on blocks, to banging them together, to stacking them, to making intentional structures. It’s still BLOCKS. But it’s different stages you need to love and embrace.MamaTweet wrote:What was the bad news rash was talking about?

As for the books, just let him hold it and turn pages. That’s fine motor development and encourages independence. Whatever page he’s on, point to the words and read them. The most important part of reading a book at his age is teaching them to respect the books.
Just focus on ONE tiny milestone and go from there.

I will dare say Rachelle and all these other pathetic YT "moms" spend 70-80% of their time behind a screen, be it their cameras, their phones or their laptops. Their kids have a camera/phone shoved in their faces the majority of the day, rather than spending actual, quality one-on-one time with the full focus of their parent. And THAT is why the children of family vloggers tend to be developmentally delayed.
The fact that family vlogging is still a thing and that these children have to suffer because of their parent's unwillingness to make a living from something other than putting their kid's lives on the internet, makes my blood boil.
YT has ZERO regulations in place for the children who are so featured in these videos. These kids have zero rights to the money that is being made, no protection on how long in a day they work and nothing about what can and can’t be shown. I know YT has that thing coming in January but that is the first time any of these channels will take a hit. In my opinion family vloggers just found a really great loophole to exploit their children and make a ton of money doing it. Mark my words we will be hearing from these kids in the next decade when we see how messed up they are.

Some of these kids will sue their parents for exploitation and $$ when they are older. And so they should. They will be able to argue that their parents sold their childhood for financial gain, and they are entitled to a significant share of the income that was made.

I agree... and all the videos that Emma has been shown in, she should have been getting money from and putting the money in an account for college etc. doubt that has happened.IVFwarrior wrote:NowAndThen87 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 5:14 amI fear in 10-15 years from now when we start hearing from the adult children of family vloggers. I mean Rachelle and Justin are small time compared to some of these channels and what they make but I highly doubt with the spending and the over priced house that anything is going towards Emma’s future. Yet they have made quite a bit of money off her and off her childhood. To me it’s just a new and improved way to exploit your child instead of getting a job. I have zero respect for any of them.IVFwarrior wrote:NowAndThen87 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 5:14 amI fear in 10-15 years from now when we start hearing from the adult children of family vloggers. I’m begging you all let’s stop this discussion here before it goes further. I’m sure you all are way better parents to your kids and can come up with 100 activities but please don’t clog this space up with it. This site has a private message system you can use if you need advice on your own life.MamaTweet wrote:What was the bad news rash was talking about?

I don't know much about the Ballinger Family, but Phil and Alex are awful parents. Sorry, had to say something. They let their girls go outside unattended as Alex raves about her pregnancy belly inside the rv, their rv is disgusting and unsanitary, they already play favorites to their 12 week old unborn bio fetus, they make it extremely clear the girls were second choice, and are fraudulent egotistical picks. If their girls aren't speech delayed, they will be emotionally compromised.daisiesemmy wrote:this is really off topic, but im gonna contribute to this. i feel like this can apply for phil and alex too, as well as ballinger family. as much as people like to hate them for not posting and stuff, i do think they are really good parents. their kids seem to be doing just fine, despite the youtube. i think their posting schedule helps this. i think all family vloggers at LEAST should do this. focus more on your kids and less on the videos. but you know rachelle and justin wouldnt focus on their kids anyway so... i guess it wouldnt work for them.Dani_465 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 6:08 am probably the only exception to YT kids delayed speech etc. would be Cullen and katie’s kids. Re: Rachelle and Justin: Poisoned pets, debt and child neglect | Part 24
I have been really busy so haven’t kept up with them. I saw the vlog about Emma Rachelle only said something to either get free crap, or to get viewers of children with disabilities. Rachelle and Justine both bragged in videos how Emma talks do much but stops on camera. She has lied for months about Emma and everyone here has pointed it out. Yes some kids know the stuff but don’t talk and then one day just start talking. The difference is those kids run, laugh, smile, jump when a loud noise happens, brings books and points at stuff, points at stuff they like, runs to people they love, hug, play hide n seek actively by putting a blanket over their face and the taking it off when you ask where they are, answer and come to their name, can be told clap or other things. Emma can’t do any of that. I guess Rachelle shouldn’t have been so damn fast to make fun of other moms and claim Emma was a fucking genius. Maybe instead of pretending she bought a house and popping in some unwanted embryos for views she should have used the energy she did on fake accounts to fight on here to ask for help for her beloved miracle.

The fact that she’s saying that Emma is “learning” how to walk in her “running” shoes is unbelievable. It just goes to show that Emma doesn’t wear shoes 99% of the time. Why the hell is that child always barefoot START MAKING HER WEAR SHOES. Even my pediatrician has told me with both my kiddos once they start wanting to or start walking it’s recommended they wear hard sole shoes.

Emma is struggling to walk in those giant ass trainers because Trashy just ordered them online. Those are at least 1 size too big for Emma’s feet. But they are definitely too wide for her narrow feet.
Go take your child somewhere to get her shoes fitted, never trust that different makes of shoes fit the same. Especially trainers.
