I think the IDEA is super sweet...a mother son duo. It's their execution that's horrible. It really shows how inept Megan is to be their primary educator (besides you know, you tube....) and Andrew needs to deflate his head by a ton. I would pay good money to see him try to hold a conversation with a group of peers in a few years when they are all in college...he knows "a lot" about "a little" and what he knows about (dungeons and dragons, and apparently now scooping up dirt and watching what grows out of it in a sealed off jar) is his forte. I totally supported their lifestyle when they traveled full time....I agree with the idea that they could learn more by immersion (although they had room for improvement of strategy in that-like...hello, at least TRY to learn french if you are going to live in a small town in France...) but this new deal of literally sitting at home, laying in bed watching youtube or laying in bed "processing" what you watched the day before on youtube, or going to a campground for a few days. Busted. This is called lazy now.

Hey! New vlog! Haven't watched it yet, but I love the description:

"The fixer upper needs to be cleaned up! Megan's brother will be living in the house for the next couple months while we decide what to do with it! With a little teamwork we got the job done!"

Translation: Our POS needed some essential oils spritzed everywhere so the third hand smoke won't hurt my brothers family. He will be living in it the next few months until we decide to re-list if for sale because when we realized how much it costs to make the way I wanted it, we could buy something already like the way I want for half the price of what we paid for this house without any renovations.

She is spending a lot of time on the vlogs explaining herself and her decisions. It really bothers her that people disagree with her. She is trying to act like it excites her, but you know she is sitting up in bed at night bitching and moaning at her boy toy.

One more thing. When Ellijah had his 18th birthday, they made the entire thumbnail about it. Daniel gets a “cleaning our house” thumbnail, and it’s, what, halfway through the vlog before Megan tells everyone it’s his birthday party day? No trip to Iceland? No big beach rental? Any excuse for the golden child.

OMG. Megan couldn't take her walk the day the vlog was filmed because she got "stuck doing something for Eve" God freaking FORBID you do something with your child.

Another take away...her "house tour" of what (supposed) to come...anyone else notice her descriptions of the spaces? "this is where MY kitchen will be..." " here is where MY pantry will go.." "this will be MY dining room...." Jesus Meggers, do the other people in your family even get a closet??

Thankfully she declared that she can "make do" without a walk in closet. Phew, I was sweating that one.

She's already discussing resale. Dude. If you want to resell that home EVER don't make it the biggest in the neighborhood, you will NEVER get your money out of it. Real Estate 101.

Oh, and I'm calling this shit now. Pay attention. When she was in the backyard she said that "someone" put flags up to mark the property line. FOR SURE that's the next door neighbor who found out the circus was coming and they wanted to make damn sure their shit stays on their side of the property line. Too bad that poor neighbor can't put up a noise barrier too There will be comments about issues with the neighbors if they ever make it into that house.

Good for Daniel to save his birthday money....this kid is going places, hopefully sooner than later because he's saving his money for a deposit on the first place available to him. Has anyone let him know that in this country, at 18, you are a legal adult and don't need to continue to subject yourself to this family?

I find it odd in the latest vlog she mentions she couldn't tell us that they had decided not to do the homestead thing because of safety and she didn't want people to find where they bought the house, yet she still made it ridiculously easy to find out where they purchased. If she really cared about safety/people not knowing why didn't they film buying the house, architect meetings but upload them 3-4 months from now? With her brother living in the house they could have just not made any mention of the purchase until the building process began and that would have made it a bit tougher to find the location.

Also how have we not talked about Meg's education plan for Eve??? In summary she is writing books for Eve with words that Eve likes in them like Barbie and meat. Then they read them. That's the plan...because you know there probably isn't any resources ever made that could be more helpful then Meg writing a random book for Eve.

I can't take it anymore, I need to post! Lol I've been lurking ever since Megan mentioned this place on Instagram. I have really enjoyed watching her channel and never really thought of criticizing her channel or anything, but this forum has enlightened me! There are those quirks and moments when I think twice but let it go, but it's so much more fun to discuss those things with other viewers.

First of all, how sad was the 4th of July banner that Daniel had hanging on the wall for his bday party. I would feel so bad about that if I was his mom. For heavens sake. 11 people in the house and not ONE happy birthday banner?

Second, I cant believe they paid almost $300k for that junky ass house. What are they thinking? The first thing I considered was all the noise from the construction that will probably take months. And what's up with her already talking about resale value? Wtf?

How do they go from wanting to be in a rural area, secluded in the woods to "the kids really love this town and we want to be able to walk to places"??

And seriously, a book about Barbies and meat? Lmao.

There has been way too much footage with the Comfy.

Welcome! In total agreement with everything you said. Great first post. That awful banner, Comfy (gag worthy footage), money pit house, barbie/meat book is all so megan. What a disturbing train wreak that's hard to look away from. What's next?

The only good thing from vlog was getting the trampoline on grass and them coming to their senses about a net. Also, anytime Daniel is on camera, I enjoy it. He is by far the most interesting person on the channel!!

Thats not how she described it on YT. She lets them pick, the only reason she basically chose Iceland and made sure Elijah was okay with it is because he could not decide where to go. I mean I can spout off a shit ton of places I want to go just here in the US but you give me a bigger range to travel than in the states I can come up with something in 10 mins. I think he had a hard time because he is ungrateful and doesn’t really give af about anything that is done for him. His attitude just screams “im better than you” and his lack of knowledge definitely came into play when deciding where to go. Dude go on effing Google.
