The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Who TF does she think she is?! “Shop mindfully” right after telling us all that she spent $650 full price for the Dyson air wrap?! And that she spends $$$$$$ on brand name purses I actually CAN NOT with her! And Dan is obviously unaware of how much she is spending, he had no idea how much the air wrap cost. That tells me, all the money she is throwing around is YouTube earnings.... the giving back to Elle fund. WHAT A FRAUD!!! I’d comment that on her videos, but she would never approve it.
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
She probably writes it all off as ‘business expenses’ come tax time.Margie wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 8:23 am Who TF does she think she is?! “Shop mindfully” right after telling us all that she spent $650 full price for the Dyson air wrap?! Sounds like Dan pays all the bills/takes care of the family with his income and everything Elle makes goes right back into her own pocket. She’s so selfish.
She’s ashamed she spent $650 on a hair product? Bull fucking shit. Is she ashamed of her $5000+ worth of purses?
She’s clearly spent close to $10,000 ON HERSELF in the past few months. And this is just the stuff that we know about. Purses, Dyson products, lip fillers, hair appointments, trips to NYC, clothing, the list goes on! She’s an embarrassment.

If we ever needed the proof that she’s a self centred narcissist... I think this is it
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
It is especially messed up that she touts being a Christian but what about the charity that seems to have disappeared... with the upcoming holiday season you would think maybe she would consider giving to others in need instead of constantly buying for herself... She really seems like a shopaholic...has an unhealthy relationship with buying stuff to fulfill some other unmet needs.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Okay where did this windfall come from? I don’t think Dan is one to throw away money the way she does. Back when they were “battling infertility” they were debating about whether or not to do an IUI that month since she wasn’t ovulating on the right side. Dan said it wasn’t worth it for them to spend the money on that month since the chances were so low. Being from Ontario and having gone through a few IUIs (with no success) the only cost is in the medication (which many insurances cover) and the sperm wash, which is $500. So Dan didn’t want to spend $500 on the IUI which makes me think he has NO idea how much her purses have cost. Or her cosmetic procedures. Or her trips to Target (she just went the weekend after NyC. Who is watching the boys??? Oh Dan on his days off.
Now, let’s talk about that Dyson. First of all i didn’t watch today’s video yet so maybe she addressed this, but it’s doubtful to me. I remember awhile back Elle invested in a very expensive curling iron that came with a free tutorial video. Why does she think she needs them most expensive version of everything?
And whoever posted about Elle having spent easily $10,000 on herself the last few months is spot on. Not to mention the free shit she gets. Yet this bitch insists on calling herself minimally minded.
Being minimally minded to me, does not mean throwing out perfectly good clothes because they don’t fit in with her capsule idea, only to buy new more expensive belongings. And For Christ sakes, she’s jetting off with her prop baby while Dan is left alone with the boys. Where is his break?
I bet you she doesn’t even put out so the guy gets NOTHiNG. And it still really irks me that her whole family has to have only 7 outfits whereas Elle’s is 7 times that.
Sorry but all this contradicting she’s done lately is really really getting on my nerves. I wish someone would address it to her but she filters her comments. Maybe on Instagram? She is so full of it. Okay I’m done venting. For now.

Her spending is out of control!
And her advocacy for St Judes ... she’s telling people to buy their gifts, SHE DIDNT EVEN BUY THEM! They were “gifted” to her. She isn’t going to donate, but WE should all go donate.
Giving back campaign my ass.

Prop baby Literally!
Her only interactions with the thing are so that she can show us her terrible singing as she “sings to baby” (all about Elle) or posed pictures she takes where she uses it as an accessory for her outfit.
She’s like a stage mom, but worse. She dresses the baby up as a prop for her OWN glamour shots.

Does anyone else think it’s weird she says ‘my boys and my daughter’. Puts a weird emphasis on her clearly favourite child

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I'm just going to list all the things I could think of that Elle bought within the past 3 months according to her:
Camera lens
Sennheiser mic
Chanel bag
Louis Vuitton bag
Aritzia clothes
Dyson air wrap
Winter coat
Various clean beauty skincare and makeup
Fitbit
Hermes scarf
NYC flights and hotel
Lip fillers
New fancy garage door (granted they had to replace the old one but Elle has to get the most expensive door there is)
Plus some furniture if not sponsored because I didn't see a disclaimer:
2 Article leather chairs
2 Article bedside tables
Article dining table
Article light fixture
That has to be more than 10k guys. Majority she spent on herself. I totally agree that it's proof of her narcissistic personality!
But remember guys Elle said to be mindful of your Christmas decor spending habits and be minimal minded when shopping for Black Friday deals! Oh also, Costco membership is crap and doesn't really give you good savings because Elle said so.

Elle mentioned a few months back about driving into the garage door. I'm guessing she got the new pretty recently because she posed in front of it when she cut off her finger.

While sOoOoO “stylish” I can tell you from years of growing up in Markham, and being familiar with her neighborhood, that garage door stands out like a sore thumb! It doesn’t fit the style of the house or neighborhood AT ALL

My husband and I make really good money. I don’t imagine near what a vet makes, but maybe if we combined our incomes.
I would NEVER imagine spending that kind of money on material, frivolous things. We have nice stuff, but I could never buy 3 luxury bags (secondhand) in a few months time span.
It’s like she’s trying to fill a void. Hmmmm, baby girl blankette didn’t make you happy elle?

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Gah does anyone have a fake Instagram
Account they can use to question Elle on how all her spending fits in with her minimal mindedness. I’d love to see her spin that.
Look, what she chooses to spend her money on is not our business but when she acts high and mighty about not spending on things that will end up in landfills...and gives us advice on what we should do....she opens herself up to this criticism. Especially since it’s so obvious I’m surprised no one else has noticed!!!
Yes that garage is better suited for a modern home. Not hers! TeachIT dying to know what high school you went to. I also grew up in markham. Still live here.

I’m not surprised that the garage door doesn’t match her house (which I agree with, since I’m fully aware of what her house looks like since dumb dumb used to blast it everywhere) she has the WORST taste. She would definitely veer for something trendy, even if the trend is way off the mark for her space... I mean, just look at her house!
And I’ll be completely transparent here, because I’m anonymous anyways , but my husband and I make $350k a year, and we live in Alberta, I know our cost of living is the same as Elle’s because we originate from her area, and I would be DAMNED if I spent the kind of money she forks out on personal frivolous items. I have $300 a month in our budget to spend as I wish, and even that seems SO self serving to take that money from my family and spend on myself, but damn, in comparison to Elle, I’m a saint
Also.. Elle’s latest Instagram post... “it’s taken me years to accept every facet of myself...” while applying heavy filters to all of her photos. FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!!!!

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I did a quick google search of vet salaries and I’m shocked at how low it is. Warranted it’s not based on the fact that most vets own their practice or co-own it there are many variables but there are also many overhead costs to owning a practice. The highest I saw was $150,000 which seems low to me. But let’s say Dan makes around 150k, Elle makes.....I dunno around 50k (I feel like I’m being overly generous here). But they have a mortgage still. Maybe if she stopped buying name brand unnecessary crap they could focus on paying off that mortgage faster. Another thing, the fun thing about making money in canada is that you are taxed a ridiculous amount. My husband and I are at the bottom of the top bracket and he loses about 50% of his money to taxes which doesn’t leave as much money leftover as you would think for the frills that Elle likes to buy. Also living in Markham ain’t cheap.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I feel like every video now she mentions something she bought recently. Today is 2 madewell jeans.
If she's shopping and they have still tons leftover for savings or their other financial goals then that's great. From her last budgeting video she said she still has a car loan for her minivan. If it was me I'd like to make a dent on that first before luxury purses. Then also pay down the mortgage.
What's really bothersome is that she spends so much money on herself AND also on this self love train posting she's currently on. Oh and also contradicting messages about minimal mindfulness and shopping excessively. I think any normal person well off or not can agree that Elle's shopping habits are excessive.
I chose to stay home with the kids but we keep a reaaaaally close eye on our budget to make that happen. Since I'm anonymous here, my hubby makes 100k a year but we own a house with no mortgage and 2 vehicles paid off. I guess my beef with Elle is she panders to audience like me yet flexes a luxury lifestyle.

I think she bought that second LV bag as brand new and not used!! Or else she would have mentioned it specifically. Glad to see her vegan views are out the window when it comes to leather purses and leather chairs.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
One thing I’ve noticed about Elle is that when she is trying really hard to convince herself of something, she tries really hard to convince her audience about it. It’s some fucked up psychology she has going on... but lately she has been justifying her purchases while also trying to spew her minimal mindful BS, while also droning on about self love. I would say It’s a safe assumption to make, that she is DEEPLY unsatisfied with her life, and all the shit she buys and preaches is everything she wants to be but isn’t.
I’ve honestly thought this about Elle for years, and is what led me to this forum. I’m so shocked that at 36 years old and countless rounds of therapy, she hasn’t shaped up yet. I truly believe YouTube is NOT the place for her. She doesn’t have a strong enough backbone for that cut throat world.
