I find it odd in the latest vlog she mentions she couldn't tell us that they had decided not to do the homestead thing because of safety and she didn't want people to find where they bought the house, yet she still made it ridiculously easy to find out where they purchased. If she really cared about safety/people not knowing why didn't they film buying the house, architect meetings but upload them 3-4 months from now? With her brother living in the house they could have just not made any mention of the purchase until the building process began and that would have made it a bit tougher to find the location.

Also how have we not talked about Meg's education plan for Eve??? In summary she is writing books for Eve with words that Eve likes in them like Barbie and meat. Then they read them. That's the plan...because you know there probably isn't any resources ever made that could be more helpful then Meg writing a random book for Eve.

And she KNOWS we know where they bought the house already, because it was mentioned on here before the crazy IG rant about "us" ruining the upcoming trip for whichever one of her kids was told about it. It was already posted here, so if she and Mike didn't immediately take that seriously, they are crazy. They just keep babbling on about how much safer it is that no one has figured out where the new house is.

Oh, we have discussed Megan's plans for Eve. She has no idea what she's doing, so she googled stuff? That little girl deserves better.

Maybe not even 2 years. She seems to have a six month “itch”. Maybe the house remodel will be enough to keep her distracted for longer, but unless she is planning on doing all the work herself (and Mike) she will lose interest quickly. She certainly doesn’t need to buy anything else for the house. No way she can fit what she has now in there. Still curious about the 50 pound bag of artisan flour she had to have. She better keep baking.

That's a generous assessment. The only way that will happen is if they use it as an investment property, which they very well might have to...there is no f'n way they are getting 300K and have to pay commissions to a realtor to sell. They might be "stuck" with it for a while, and that's not even if they dump all the other money into it for renovations.

It actually was! Daniel was an impulse adoption. They were in China adopting a child (I forget which one) and they saw Daniel's picture while there or on their way there and so she sent Mike to go adopt Daniel while she finalized the other child's adoption.

The architect rendering of what their house will look like, looks nothing like mid century modern, nor farmhouse, nor any of the other styles she has claimed to love. She says it will definitely be larger than 1800 sq feet. People are asking some good questions in the IG comments.

By the time they are done, they will have spent more than $500K on that dump.

I just watched the new video with the architect describing everything. Why did Mike shush Megan during the car ride in the beginning? It was right after she said they "have a lot of crap they have accumulated." I thought that was weird lol.

Are the kids still going to share rooms? It seems like there will only be 2 bedrooms upstairs plus a huge loft. I cant imagining my parents getting to design whatever they wanted and still making me share with at least 2 other siblings. Sharing with one I could understand. But Eve and Jude do not need to be sharing rooms. It's just weird. Give your kids their own space. Not 3 to a room. Daniel needs his own room. Andrew can have his own too since Elijah wont be back for 2 years and probably wont be moving back in with them. Pearl and Esther can share. Asher and Peter. Then Eve and Jude separately. So SIX bedrooms. Theres no reason why they should be crammed in there like sardines.

Did anyone else think Esther didnt look all that enthused when they were sitting around the table sharing the blueprints?

So based off of the plans and what they said it sounds like there are 3 bedrooms upstairs for the kids with one bathroom. No word on who is sharing other than there is a "girls" room which I assume means Pearl and Esther. I guess that could also technically mean Eve but it seems unfair to Esther and Pearl who are generally super quiet, were adopted together, and use their room as a retreat to read/study etc... to put them with Eve whose more rambunctious.

I'm sure there will be some combination of boys sharing rooms, but no matter how you look at things I think they are about 1 room short - even if they are planning on giving Daniel the boot before the house is built. I hope they find a solution that doesn't involve Eve and Jude sharing a room...also one bathroom for 7-8 kids upstairs? That just seems insane. Of course it's totally possible I read the plans wrong, but I think we all know it's unlikely there is a 4th bedroom hiding in that house.

It's not just you! They seem depressed. They're obviously bored and mentally unchallenged. She's so self absorbed I doubt it ever occurs to her.

I actually enjoyed watching them when they were in the RV. And it seemed like there was some warmth there then, too. Am I crazy, or not? They really have changed, haven't they?

You're definitely not crazy! I remember watching them in the RV and even after - they seemed so much closer as a family! Do you remember awhile ago Megan was making videos for the kids' birthday where she took them out for lunch on their birthday and did a really special day together. There were also other videos where she took the girls to the mall or did something that one of the kids really cared about but I haven't seen any moments like that in a really long time.
