I am surprised no one here as mentioned how relaxed megs is taking the security of the location of the new hows because they keep showing the front of it.

We have discussed it. Most of us have the exact address of the new Cult Cabin.

I just get a weird vibe from them. Mostly the adopted kids. They don’t seem happy. They all perform like robots, do whatever Megan thinks they should be doing. There doesn’t seem to be any real warmth between them. Idk. It didn’t really feel that way when I first started watching, when they were in the RV traveling.

I actually enjoyed watching them when they were in the RV. And it seemed like there was some warmth there then, too. Am I crazy, or not? They really have changed, haven't they?

You're definitely not crazy! I remember watching them in the RV and even after - they seemed so much closer as a family! Do you remember awhile ago Megan was making videos for the kids' birthday where she took them out for lunch on their birthday and did a really special day together. There were also other videos where she took the girls to the mall or did something that one of the kids really cared about but I haven't seen any moments like that in a really long time.

I agree. It seems like for the past 6 months it has been constant thrift store trips.

I love watching this. I paused to comment. Did you know, you can have ANY architect walk thru ANY existing home and talk about 12 foot ceilings, wall to wall glass windows the whole way up, open up this space, put that there, fireplace here....EVERY ARCHITECT CAN DO THAT. Did they NOT discuss budget first!!? OMG I can't WAIT for the "it's too expensive" vlog. It's coming.

OH MY GOD. They are sharing the plans with the kids already. That will be SOUL CRUSHING when this doesn't work out. Yet another major change in their lives. They are not good parents, do they EVER think of what's in the best interest of the kids!!??

I am incredibly confused as to why they are trying to add on to this house. Why not just build new when you’re completely renoing the entire thing! These are two different houses! I don’t get the point.

I agree. There is a BIG difference between renovations and demolishing. They are demolishing this place. Well, they *think* they are until the actually speak to a builder and find our how much this shit show will actually cost. It's not thrift store pricing friends.

They were absolutely closer as a family, but I think traveling fed Megan’s need for constant change. She was able to channel her energy and efforts into going places with the kids, rather than perpetually spending money on random crap for the cult cabin.

There is a sense of immediate gratification and adrenaline rush in buying things. It’s why hoarders will continue to buy items even if those items just sit rotting in a bag in a house filled with other bags.

Many people who have depression tend to latch onto that feeling of instant gratification you get from shopping. I’m not going to say she is depressed, but traveling would have fed that need for constant change and instant gratification.

Now she just fills her void with new things she has to have- used furniture, books no one reads, craft projects, new houses, extreme life style changes, etc.

I think the kids as a whole were far better off when they traveled. For starters, they actually learned a lot about the history of the US in a way you just don’t get from books and photos, but they had 2 parents who spent most of their time focused ON the kids. Now their parents are focused on each other, on date nights, on making sure they each feel fulfilled.

It’s really kind of sad that those kids were more cared for in a travel trailer being toted around the country.

Ugh. I just want to go there and point out the street name, but as a mom and sane person, I can not for the life of me intentionally compromise their illusion of safety, even if it’s to point out that they need to make serious changes to existing videos to stop more people from finding them.

In the end, though, it will be public record as soon as the deed is updated.

I don’t understand why youtubers are so readily willing to share info that SHOULD be private- like last names, general locations, kids middle names, etc.

They all make it ridiculously easy to have their identity stolen, private info leaked, and have rabid fans knocking on their doors.

I understand it isn't a high dollar fridge and mostly most of Megans brothers belongings also appear to be "mid century" thrifted junk...I still wouldn't (as a non-youtuber) want to have all of my belongings alone with layout of the house featured on the internet with a family that has openly admitted to being creepily followed (Utah) by their adoring fans in the past. They have small children to think of. I doubt they have a security detail at the curb outside. Call me paranoid, but there are so many people on the brink of insanity and people can do crazy things.

Okay this solidifies for me that Megan has some serious issues (dont wanna diagnose anything) this fridge is what ppl buy for those Skoolies or TinyHouses, not for a HUGE family. Y'all these comments are hilarious

I remember way back she had a video about picking up Esther from her job and then going to eat ice cream nearby. I was curious where they were at in NC so I looked up the ice cream shop name which was very much exposed. Then saw the place nearby which looked like the place Esther worked at. How is that protecting her? It gets creepy when people know them but they dont know these strangers. Ugh.

They blurred out the address on the blueprint because that is very obvious to them. Mayve the thought of their audience doing some simple google searches sounds way too farfetched to them? Its just crazy because they have already experienced what it was like for people to know where they lived in Utah.

Isnt it crazy how Pearl wasn't aware that her parents were planning on remodeling the house, but the youtube audience knows? If only these kids understood how out there their lives really were.

Oh, has anyone noticed the snarkiness of Megan's replies on some of the youtube comments? She seems to pick out the ones that bother her, but replies with an attitude...lol

The thing is, even though we can easily figure out the address, us "haters" aren't likely to show up on their doorstep. It's the fans who are obsessed with them that they should worry about. Stalkers always start out admiring the objects of their obsession. Nobody (well, almost nobody) starts out thinking that these people could be better parents, and search out their address to tell them so in person.
