I usually just follow along and read here because I don’t have time to always keep up, So I may not have all the information- but to me it looks like she is trying to make a quick buck and is changing platforms before the new rules on January 1st.

I have been following this site for almost a year and I have always appreciated how most people’s genuine interest seems to be in protecting the girls and we all seem to have a major issue with the parents taking advantage of them. This just feels like another person out there taking advantage of them, for money and views.

In my opinion If it’s wrong, it’s wrong - it doesn’t matter who is posting it- wrong for the parents and wrong for anyone else.

The new YouTube guidelines wouldn’t require LGM to change platforms. She doesn’t make content that is geared towards children. Her content is very much aimed at adult viewers.
She has made 2 videos about the Gardners, which were fair and completely within the guidelines. As far as I understand she looked at the Gardners because someone suggested it. She’s only a small YouTuber. She’s not a huge threat to them. Their actions are rather disproportionate, if you ask me.

And I know we all have different levels of what we think is okay and what annoys us. People who make money off of kids on YouTube is one of my main issues- so I guess that’s why it bugs me. I just look at it as one more person sitting at home not working a real job and profiting off of these girls.
Maybe they won’t become her regulars- but I have an odd feeling that she just hit the YouTube jackpot and is seeing the dollar signs. Hopefully I am wrong- it does happen sometimes

I think you will find that most of us will agree that we don’t like to see children exploited. Did you see any of LGM’s videos? They really were quite fair - more fair than most would have been.
She is not profiting from videos of the Gardner girls, although I can see why you might think they are. I think she was trying to give an honest opinion of whether Ashley and Tyson were profiting off their children. She really wasn’t as mean as she could have been.
She isn’t making money off the back of the Gardner girls. She is calling parents out for taking advantage if situations they shouldn’t take advantage of. I think that’s reasonable. She feels passionately enough to do so and that’s fine.
The problem is that the Gardners fail to acknowledge why they’re being called out - if they did they might get more support than they currently do.
I mean how refreshing would it be for a blog family to step forward and hold their hands up and say you know maybe we shouldn’t have filmed that whole mess about croup; we acknowledge some people may not respect some of the things we do and we’re going to
Listen? How much more would people like them for doing that?
Perhaps when the girls are older they will respect the fact that people like us or LGM were prepared to speak out for them. It’s mire than anyone else around is doing.
Perhaps it’s not about money, but conscience?

I can see both points. If her videos are monetized and she is setting up a Patreon, then she is making money off the girls as well.
I think most of us are just happy that they are being called out, on a platform that they can't control, and they are having a tantrum and showing their true colors rather than letting it go or participating in an adult discussion.

On IG today her personal organizer is back. For two people with a nanny, housekeeper and takeout on speed dial, you would think they would have time to keep their bathroom clean. Those drawers were disgusting. You would think Mr. OCD wouldn't let his lotions get so out of control. (Notice the H&S shampoo he shilled shoved in the bottom drawer--it has outlive it's usefulness) So much crap. That's just how they live---more, more, and more of everything. They are being gifted all the organizational supplies. Do you think they claim every free gift they get on their taxes?? During the past year alone, they have been given an abundance of free things.

I don't view LGM as exploiting the girls for money at all. She makes reaction videos. These ones happen to be on the Greedners. I'm in favor of anyone who exposes the truth about these lying, lazy, greedy narcs to more people. I imagine the majority of people on this forum regularly watched or enjoyed their videos at some point in the past - I watched them when the girls were toddlers - until we all saw the Greeds for what they truly were. I hope this forum/LGM videos will let more "fans" see the light, so to speak.

I don’t have a ton of experience with it, but from what I’ve seen it’s a platform that functions with crowdfunding to support artists/creators (of various types).

Example, cartoon artist creates patreon account to give fans early access or subscriber only content for a monthly fee.

I have no idea if there are fees on the creator/artist side for usage.. I would assume yes.
