The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I think you are right on so many of the points you brought up here. I wonder what she will do to replace the electronics (cause a fart ninja likely won't cut it). If a child with the temperament Forde seems to have is cranky and acting out it is likely due to the frustration of being bored and under stimulated; Elle should take notice and at least some responsibility for contributing to her children's negative behaviour--they are trying to communicate something to her, not annoy her.

Okaythatlldo you hit the nail on the head!!!!
She has ZERO joy when she speaks of her kids. “Activities” and trips with them all center around her. She is the least joyful and nurturing mom.

I wonder if once the 'newness' of Blankette wears off, if she will be planning for a fourth... It seems like she likes the pregnancy/new born stage but not really into the day-to-day parenting of children... Hopefully Dan will stop donating to the cause.

I so agree with you Okthatlldo! Those poor boys are so unstimulated. With mine, they have been into Lego, trains set and hot wheels since toddler age. Plain wooden blocks are great too but eventually the kids need to move in to more complicated building structures.
I just realized that Elle rarely mentions taking the boys out to the park or indoor playground or any kind of outside activity that they do together. The only activity Elle mentions is "running" school for Cohen or Dan takes the boys to frisbee or swimming. In warmer months, we're in the playground 3-4 times a week plus visits to the zoo, waterparks and trails. Now that it's cold, we frequent the indoor playground, museums and of course snow related activities and skating. Elle's plan to stimulate the kids in the last video was lacklustre and non sustainable (using that word because Elle loves saying it, lol). I do hope the boys does more activities to keep them active that what Elle mentions. But I guess that now she's not vlogging them, we might not find out.

Even though she isn’t vlogging them she likes to consider herself super mom and so anytime she (rarely) does anything with the boys she has to mention it on social media (or else what was the point in doing it? I mean she took them to one church Christmas festival and posted 40 insta stories about it).
I work full time at a very high stress job with a long commute. I went back to work full time at 4 weeks post partum - by choice - because the programs I’m running positively impact so many people and it was falling apart without me. I’m constantly busy and stressed.
BUT.
My kids do messy crafts at home and play with building sets with a zillion little pieces... and we laugh at the mess then clean it up together. We bake together, they help chop veggies for dinner, and we go out to fun kid friendly restaurants, parks, museums, the beach, the snow, everything! Life’s an adventure for them and I love getting to curate it. Yes they watch TV (a lot of times we watch a movie while making dinner and talk about it as we go), and they have screen time. They usually choose educational games but sometimes they like to watch dinosaur videos on YouTube or play video games. So what? I like to veg out on my phone (and so does elle...) so why can’t they for a few minutes at night?
My point is that Elle’s world doesn’t allow any of these things for her kids. No screen time, no colorful toys, no video games, no making a mess, no coloring/painting/crafting, and she never leaves her house unless it’s for an ELLE shopping trip, and ELLE New York writing retreat, or some ELLE sponsored event she’s going to. Her poor kids are being robbed of childhood at the expense of their moms “fame”
I’m a working mom and I can (barely) pull it off ... she’s a stay at home mom so she can too. Plus she has far more funds than I do, so I truly don’t get why she continues to repeat the pattern of her mother - Elle’s drug of choice is just different, but she definitely emotionally manipulates those kids.

So many valid points here!
I had actually never considered that Elle didn’t take her kids out to museums and play places, because I live in the middle of nowhere and we have nothing of the sort around, but when we make the trek to the city we ALWAYS schedule and indoor trampoline park, or science centre in. She totally lives SO close to this stuff! How sad for her boys... the only event a they get to attend are sponsored gigs for mommy’s work.
As for a 4th baby, there is no way. If Blankette had been a boy, I would expect a fourth, but now that her “precious vagina bearing offspring” has been birthed, she’s done. She would never risk the weight gain and stretch marks for potentially another boy now that she has her beloved daughter.

Elle is proud of her dinner so she posted it on her stories. It's salad greens, peppers and cheese. So sad.

Wow, such a gourmand.Seriouslysweetie wrote:Elle is proud of her dinner so she posted it on her stories. It's salad greens, peppers and cheese. So sad.
I wish it was a post and not a story, so I could comment and suggest that she make a video “how to”

Is it cheese or tofu?Seriouslysweetie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 7:36 pm Elle is proud of her dinner so she posted it on her stories. It's salad greens, peppers and cheese. So sad.
Either way, she's gotta be trolling. I hope that's only a side dish to the main meal. I'm vegan and I would want about ten more ingredients on that salad to make it an actual "meal." Plus probably some rice or other starch on the side. I would be hungry half an hour after eating that if it were my entire dinner.
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
That salad actually looked tasty.... as a side dish or appetizer.... I would perish if that’s what my dinner consisted of...

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Yup, it was a great side dish or as a main dish with at least 2 or more ingredients!
On another note, I was perusing Elle's channel just now just to see how her views are doing since the change. It's not any better btw but I noticed something on her video titles. Almost every video has I, me, my or we in the title. I looked that the other channels she is sucking up to lately and only 1 every 10 video title have I, me or my in it.
That is all. I just thought I'd point it out and share here.

I almost came in here last night to ask the same thing. She is reminiscent of an evil step mother with this look. It’s not good.

That lipstick print looks so tacky. Opposite of her "absence of colour" wardrobe palette ethos. I think because someone commented once that she looked great with red lipstick, she got all flattered, went all in and bought a lipstick dress, lol.
Also, a girls night twice in one week? How nice. I wonder how boys night out Dan gets.

She always has the worst fashion sense.

Perhaps she is in costume? It looks like something a cosmetic counter salesperson would wear at a department store as part of a holiday display... Maybe she has a side gig at Holt's...
