It isn't even about whether or not they can afford to give Eve one thing she wants for Christmas. It's about whether or not she WANTS to.

They drop thousands of dollars on every whim Megan has, and who KNOWS how much to take a trip to Iceland.

Megan controls what comes in and out of that house. Sure, the kids are free to pursue what they want in terms of hobbies, but I'd lay good odds that they are not shown options Megan and Mike don't approve of. If one of the kids showed an interest in something completely off the wall, Megan would lose her shit in a hot minute.

The kids read the books she brings home. They learn to play with the instruments she brings home. They get to play with the toys she finds at thrift stores. They get to do "home projects" that she approves of and wants done.

Exactly!!! The Barbie house is not a good fit for the mommy instagram influencer aesthetic she’s trying to push, so she’s chosen a “thrifty” and “unique” gift to force on her kid.

Holy Mary Mother Of God. I literally just gasped, loudly. Watching the newest video of Christmas cookies....I will skip over the insanely anxious cookie cutting where Megan needs to have total control of the kids pushing the cookie cutters into the EXACT location she wants them to be in on the dough and fast forward to time stamp 6:05 on the video. Pearls back has gotten SO MUCH WORSE. You cannot say that there is nothing that can be done about that and that she isn't in some sort of discomfort. How has this not been addressed. OMG. If i knew how to post a screen shot I would. Someone, please....do it for me. They seriously need to be reported.

Here’s today’s video verses two years ago when they made a video about what’s wrong with Pearl’s back. Poor girl...the protruding curve has just gotten more extreme and she looks more hunched over. I’m doubtful that they’ve sought any medical treatment for her. Maybe us talking about it here will make them address this. She must be in so much pain. And if she’s not now, I can’t only imagine what 10 or 20 years down the road will be like.

Even if they address it, it will be to regurgitate what they say every time it comes up: she’s rare, only medical case of it, nothing to be done for it, people are just too nosy, of course she sees a doctor, etc. They have never been one to show medical care, just talk about it, so it wouldn’t matter what they say.

In the beginning of the latest cookie video she said "Iliteration"!!!!!! I find it very sad and frustrating that she is responsible for educating the kids and did not know the word she was to use is ITERATION. I'm still very pissed about the Barbie house/Rv situation too. Get the poor girl the new house with all of its parts and accessories. If anything was to be crafted it should have been the train tunnel that was bought for the younger boys and their army men. I see Eve getting years of play out of a Barbie house and the army man train tunnel collecting dust in 3 months.

If it doesn't come from the thrift store she doesn't know anything about it. When her kids ask her questions her default response seems to always be "I don't know, that's a good question. " How about turning that into a learning experience, or does that take away from your shopping time, or date nights, or daily long walks?

Oh yeah, all of these kids will require some sort of psychological intervention when they become adults. She's taking "mommy issues" to a whole new level.

On a whole different note...watching her "spray paint" that Barbie RV was hard to see. It's short spritzes on lengthwise passes....not spray the shit out of something and wave it all around. I'm shocked they are allowed to use spray paint in their religion, the way she uses it is sure to get her high. No mask or anything....did anyone else notice all the particulates in the air from the video during her unventilated spray party!!??

I feel really sad for those kids. Especially the ones with medical issues. It "may not bother them" now but chances are left untreated will result in a lifetime of pain. I would be flying my kids to the moon if a result or treatment plan wasn't found on earth.

Illegal drugs are a no, but drugs for medical reasons are fine. I imagine it would be iffy if it came to medical MJ, but aside from that, they are pro-medical.

There are other iffy things, though. Hot beverages, which the church defines as hot tea or hot coffee, are a no. I always thought it was caffeine, but apparently, you are good to go if the caffeine is cold. That said, Megan drinks her hot teas often. A lot of Mormons don’t abide by the “Health code” which governs not just what they are not allowed to eat/drink, but what they SHOULD be eating.

They are told to stick to a diet of fruit, vegetables, while grains, and healthy herbs. While meat and fish are allowed, they are asked to limit how frequently those items are included, and in earlier times, were recommended for times of famine when fresh or dried fruits and veggies were unavailable.

In terms of diet, Megan actually does a far better job sticking to what the church “recommends” than most other Mormon families I see on YT. They eat a lot of veggies, lots of herbs, and limit meat.

The Gardner’s (Gardner quad squad) talk all the time about being good little Mormons. They eat out almost every day, eat meat like it’s going out of style, Eat very few whole veggies or fruit- their grocery trips are highly processed junk food to snack in between trips to restaurants, where they are extremely gluttonous. Dad teaches the 4 4-yo girls to “Pound it” when eating food, encouraging them to over eat, order extra meals if they want different food than they got, etc

I agree, I have mild scoliosis and when I say mild, it's MILD. Never required a back brace or anything....but ever since I turned 35 (turning 40 next year) I have been having a LOT of issues from the tiny curve in my spine. I cannot simply imagine how those girls feel. I tear up just thinking about it for them.

The reason I asked is I see a lot of you saying that when she first started she was fine, but recently shes gone off the rails. I wonder if shes on some Dr prescribed stuff.

I actually think she was saying "alliteration," when words all start with the same sound..she had said "christmas cookies with the cousins" or something like that. Why's she trying to use big words? Lol
