Did anyone else catch her FB story about her packing and saying that they will have to do laundry along the way. Does she not read the feedback she's receiving from people who LIVE there and who have VISITED there. Plus, they aren't staying in the same place for long so it's not like she can ask the hotel where the closest laundering facilities are and just go there one afternoon. They are practically non existent in the country and she's just winging it. Good god I hope they have a spot for deodorant in those backpacks....that van they are renting is going to stink to high hell of dirty laundry.

One family I follow is really cautious about when they post about locations online. They travel full time with a preschooler and a toddler. They don’t post where they are until they have left for the next location. Their videos on YouTube are about 6 weeks behind on purpose. On SM, they might post that it’s a travel day, but they don’t go into specifics about where they are at, where they are headed, or they post outdated video and pics. The have never had a bad experience. I look at families like the Knorrps who are extremely lackadaisical in hiding their house addresses, and who post minute by minute updates to social media about where they are and just shake my head.

Like Ive always said, "If your grandmother gives you a heirloom bracelet, you dont leave it out on the kitchen floor or on your bureau (OMG I spelled that right the first try! yay me!) to get trampled or stolen. You PROTECT things you love and value.

I saw the part where she gets an actual suitcase, and where she rambled on and on about how she always over packs because she likes choices when she travels, and how she never knows until she's tried on three outfits what she'll wear for the day. It amuses me that she and Mike get to pack what they want, but the kids have to hobble together 2 weeks of outfits in a backpack.

I have been a reader on these boards for awhile now. I joined today because I wanted to comment on this thread. I support homeschooling but these people haven't spent any time helping their children learn. Seeing Pearl in recent videos I have concerns that she has some SIGNIFICANT learning disabilities...processing delays, language delays etc. The video where she went shopping at Target for clothes she couldn't even answer basic questions from her parents. Also her birthday video with Megan she couldn't communicate basic info. Its not an English Language Learner issue....it's either a processing issue or a speech and language issue. I am a special ed teacher and she sends up lots of red flags. Also the Christmas video none of the kids could read. Andrew is so ADHD (among other issues) but I think he may also have issues with reading. I wouldn't assume a reading disability because we have to assume he has never actually been taught the code to read. Without phonics instruction it would be hard to determine if he actually has a disability vs. lack of teaching.
I love watching this family because they are interesting to me but I am starting to feel bad for these kids. I don't see Andrew being a functioning member of society as he gets older. He has such a false sense that he is special and a genius. I think he tried so hard to be Elijah and then Megan decided to label him boy genius so he now tries to fit that category. Then there is Eve. Poor Eve! She has so much to say but no ability to do so. If they aren't going to get her into speech therapy they should at least teach her sign language or get her a communication device. She has such personality and motivation to be social but they haven't given her any tools!

Megan always says Pearl is really shy and that’s why she freezes up on camera. She seems to have zero interest in being filmed so idk why they keep doing it. Maybe off camera she’s totally different. Plus she hasn’t been afforded a proper education (assumingly in China and definitely not in the US), it wouldn’t be surprising that she has some learning difficulties. I can’t imagine someone with her personality (laid back, quieter, introverted) being stuck with loud crazy Megan all the time. It must be exhausting. I hope she’s developing some set of real skills besides crafting. Like math and business skills so she could make her hobby a career if she wanted. But at this point I think she’ll be 25 and stuck with Megan doing crafts still...no employable skills and few social skills to find a partner or live on her own. Not to mention, who knows what physical problems she’ll face as she ages.

I suspect they are already there. Nothing on YouTube for 6 days, nothing posted on FB since the 1st and their last story on insta or FB has been from like 2 days ago.

oh, nevermind. Not only did she just post on her story in FB that they are leaving TODAY, but she also declared that they are leaving for 22 days. Nice. So, recap....everyone knows their address in Davidson NC. Lets announce our exact departure date, how many days they are going for, and the fact that EVERYONE is going. Safe travels Knorpps. Hopefully all your crap is still where you left it in the States whe you return because you just put a target on your property.

Also note, no mention of vaccinations or prophylactic treatments before traveling there. I'll take "Yellow Fever for 200, Alex..."
