chocolatelover711 wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2020 12:11 pm As vegans they will always need a B-12 supplement as there is no where else to get that except from animal products. Also, living in Finland where there is little sun, they will need vitamin D. Perhaps once they move to Australia that will change. I would never choose veganism myself but I know many vegans who are perfectly healthy. Famous ones include Mayim Bialik, and Ellen. I don't see any evidence of poor nutrition at all in Taina's kids but people seem to critique her a lot for what they eat. On their trip they ate some national dishes that were non-vegan and she explained why but she has 2 year olds that like kidney beans, broccoli, and brussel sprouts. I mean come on.
I understand about the B-12 and Vitamin D, I was questioning the large amount she seemed to be giving them,

Is this day 3 with no video? She must be scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to come up with one. Also, it seems that with the New Year’s Eve video, her time frame is back on track.
Yes the timeline does seem legit now. I imagine they are now enroute to Australia although it is quite dangerous there now with the fires so perhaps they have delayed again. Who could blame them? They do eat a lot of food- it bothers me that others on this forum seem to falsely think the kids are starving or something. Or unhealthy. Clearly they aren't.

Taina is that you?

Seems we have one of TT sycophants or herself here - welcome to the forum. And yes, I insist those kids are malnourished and their diet is appalingly badly composed, lacking in many nutrients, vitamins, minerals and microelements. Those kids are not healthy, they appear to be suffering from many physical issues and developmental problems. And yes, I know what I am saying - I am a doctor with 23 years of experience in my profession.

I'm a high school teacher and work with kids aged 12-17 every day, and I agree with you.

I doubt they will ever move to Australia… the benefits they get in Finland are “huge”… I don’t know what kind of benefits they are really getting (maybe no other than child benefit, which everybody gets anyway), but even if they would have zero income (I don’t know how reporting your Youtube income works), the social security system would pay their rent, medical bills, medicine prescribed by the doctor, house insurance bills and electricity and after that give the entire family around 4000 euros to spend each month. You can buy a lot of beans with that money :) I don’t know about Australia’s social society system, but I totally understand if they are not going anywhere.

If they go to Australia, they will probably be helped by Paul's Foster mother. Isn't she some evangelical who goes round the world spreading doomsday nonsense and touting for money? I can't imagine the benefits system in Australia is as generous as Finland

LOL Trust me i am not a "sychphant" and certainly not the woman herself. I've complained about her many times on here. I am looking at actual videos of what the family eats and drawing logical and CORRECT conclusions. They take vitamin supplements and yet are "lacking vitamins" to you?? They eat copious amounts of fruits and vegetables and protein and are "lacking nutrients"??? Wow am i ever glad you are not a practicing doctor anywhere near where I live. Cleopatra looks unhealthy to you? Really? Rosy cheeked Aphrodite looks mal-nurished? I've seen hungry children and they are cranky, crying, unable to sit still, bloated and more. As I have said more than once, I definitely have some issues with her and I do believe Nef, has some developmental delays, based on my years as a teacher in Canada where I live, but her kids are not starving. You really think her 6 older children are so brainwashed that they don't look like it is all a lie as they unpack their food and cook the dinners and other meals that they eat? They film a videos showing them eating well a few days a week and then they starve the kids the rest of the time?? Beyond ridiculous. I'm out of the conversation now. It's like arguing with a Trump supporter.

A meal of raw mushrooms plus mayonnaise. Copious amoounts of pulses - yes. Other vegetables? Sometimes broccoli. Where are root vegetables? Where is everythng else? The fact, they eat a lot does not mean they eat well. They take vitamins - yes, but these are not titrated to their needs - children, adolescenets, men and women have different needs - and that should be reflected in their supplementation. They eat some fruit - but two bananas as a breakfast? Really? Tomatoes and raw mushrooms and leaf salad on bread - that is a proper meal? No, I would not say so. All the young children in this family have sunken eyes with dark circles around them, Nef has rotten teeth, Aph has bowed legs. The older ones got lihlty off the feeding situation - but only because they were forced to become vegan when TT started her vlogging business and came to an idea being vegan and minimalistic may be a fashionable thing to do. So at least at their early stages of life they were eating sensibly. So I still uphold my opinion. Her earlier vlogs when they were in the big house, their diet was very good I think, but it deteriorated badly on their trip. All canned beans etc. Very little fruit and veg. It's a bit better now they are back in a house.

When they were in a big house their diet was indeed much better. although still not ideal - yet acceptable. The trip was a trip of starvation and eating from time to time plentifully, but junk food Now, since they at least seemd to have temporary roof over their heads and a bit stability, it may improve. Hopefully...As I said, I quite enjoyed the New Year vlogs and the food there looked nice ( even though, I am not quite sure about potatoes and pesto - this seems awkward to me, but - well, who knows, may be nice :) ). Still, it will make months to make up for the damage the trip has done, especially to the little kids.

Just so you know I am in agreement with all that you have posted. An opposing view can be stated without being rude as it adds nothing to the conversation,

Thanks. I also would not expect us all to agree on everything - that would be boring and there would be no discussion:) Different views are welcome.

Anyway, where is Taina? Is that their 'disappearence' she mentioned in one of her vlogs and they will come back with new offerings from down under? I wonder...

I get that they're minimalist but what's with them pretty much only wearing white? Reminds me of a cult

Looks a bit like that, but on the other hand - I think it also makes washing/taking care of clothes much easier, if you stick just to a few colours ( especially in a big family with a lot of washing to do). I mean - what they wear is not only white - it is also grey, blue, pink for girls, navy blue and black. I think this also goes with TTs minimalistic and co-operdinated aesthetics. They wore more colours before the youtube vlogging era, although they were already in a cult, weren't they? I also have my wardrobe limited to a few colours - makes it easier for washing and choice of what to wear - do not have to spend too long thinking what goes with what :D And I am not in a cult :)

Maybe and I’m wondering as well. I know on IG people were asking about the move and she said it would be soon. Haven’t looked there in awhile.

I think the New Year’s Eve video was quite enjoyable. If only she had left out, “are you having fun, is it yummy...?” She mentioned recipes from their dinner. I would be interested to see some. I would alter the bean pie and put MEAT in it.😂 I think that seitan they use for meat sounds too close to satan, wonder it that ever dawned on her?

I miss Herby Sherby.😟

I miss Herby as well :( About the cult - call it a cult or a sect - I think they are in some doomsday cult/sect, however you call it, but I do not think their clothes are connected to it. As I say - it s rather for aesthetics and easier washing process. They appear to be beliieving in Jesus, reading KJ Bible, but not going to any masses/congregations/ prayers. They also do not celebrate Christmas or Easter. Paul had some strange vlogs on YT. Paul's mother is a cult leader. Seitan...wel...actually it is pure gluten. Good none of them is coeliac or intolerant - or so we can hope:)
