Elle’s carefully thought our captioned New Years post where she pushes her brand, her goals, her “phrase of the year” with a curated photo of her coffee, laptop, etc ... 600 likes.

Elle’s admission that her dog is sick ... 3000 likes.

I hope she’s stepping back and seeing the trend. People don’t care about her curated, “branded” work as much as they do authenticity. I don’t care if your life is a trainwreck, if you’re genuine and kind and authentic I’ll be right there along with you. But this “I’m perfect let me show you how it’s done” vibe is SUCH a turnoff.

For those who can’t see it, it’s her instastories meme that says “ yea sex is cool, but have you ever Just sat alone In silence eating chocolate in bed while no one bothered you or your genitals for anything”

I’m all for these funny memes, but this one is just entirely confusing and, in my opinion, clearly states that she doesn’t want dan to bother her or her genitals. The point of the “sex is cool but” memes is that the “but” has nothing to do with sex.... I’m genuinely stumped over this very unfunny meme and also deeply confused as to why she would share it publicly...

Elle has removed the “let him speak” vlog where Dan had to defend Elle’s confession vlog about their marriage. It was online not too long ago so she definitely has deliberately deleted it. She had deleted her confession vlog a long time ago but always kept Dans video up because he defender her.

For the “everyday extraordinary” series , yes all 3 vlogs are now gone. I’m wondering if it’s because 1) dans mom was featured and 2) the other two people were fellow church goers of hers and maybe she’s cutting all ties with her church because she’s ashamed of her pending divorce.

My prediction for 2020 is Dan moves into the apartment above their garage and finally gets to buy a dresser for his clothes instead of just a box that Elle throws his cloths in.

Interesting theory that Dan moves out! For some reason I picture Elle moving out into some fabulous new space because she will deserve the “clean slate and fresh beginning” time will tell, but I’ll be honest, I would be shocked if they are still living together by the end of this year!

Cohens pregnancy weekly updates all gone. Why? They don’t feature a minor (so he can’t say she’s protecting his identity). Same with Forde - most of her pregnancy videos are private now. Why?

Maybe this is a reach and I have no proof.

But anyone get the feeling that her ancestors post backfired... She was expecting sympathy and offers to help get her to England and it totally didn’t go that way, in fact people are calling her out.

So she quickly busted out the Ellie post next to shift feelings and have everyone distracted and sympathetic.

Her dog has been sick for a while and no mention of it, so why now, right after a post where the masses are stirring and turning on her. Sympathy. Change the focus.

It doesn’t change that I feel bad for her about the dog, but I’m starting to think it was intentionally released right after ancestors sponsored pic.

I think your on to something! I had the same feeling too seeing she posted about Ellie so soon after the ancestry post. She normally doesn't do that so she can rake in all the likes for each post. I didn't want to say it out loud but it feels like it was damage control. Especially she's been saying that she's going through some things but she didn't want to disclose it. Then, bam here you go... my dog is dying (which is still very sad). I'm sure there are other things she's going through. She might slowly tell what is going on to gain sympathy if people will continue to call her out.

I like how she tries to throw Dan under the bus saying how she kept wanting to have Ellie checked out but Dan didn’t want to, basically saying it’s his fault they didn’t catch the cancer sooner.

I agree she’s in a good position for divorce. She’ll get to keep the house and he’ll still have to pay for it. Which is perfect for her because she’s put so much into renovating it into the ugly rose gold monstrosity that it is.

Plus she can turn his gaming nook into a mediation corner.

Unlike other YT families she started this with no career and her husband kept his. They’ll calculate her minimal income vs his real income and she’ll get loads of support payments.

She knows all this and I think at one point she was genuinely trying to save the marriage (to save face). But now she’s clearly setting herself up for independence. I almost wonder if she’s intentionally focusing on growing her audience while not taking many ads so that she looks like she doesn’t make much “on paper”.

Okay this is slightly off topic but does anyone here watch NestingStory? I’m starting to think something is up in joanna’s marriage. There has barely a blip of Mike in weeks. She says he’s been working on the mudroom but no talk of date nights. No wedding ring. No mike in videos or instastories. This big focus on getting her body back. Also...

She is also hoping the Elle inconsistency train with posting and when she does post they’re like six minute long videos.

Amanda muse Also posts only once a week now too.

It’s like they’re copying each other but isn’t consistency what helps channel growth? As a viewer it annoys me when they don’t keep to their schedule.

I’m always surprised when I hear a couple divorces but I mean the odds are there. 1 in 2 marriages end in divorce so it actually isn’t that far off.

Yea, I’ve been curious about Joanna... she’s been hitting the gym pretty hard, that alone always makes me wonder. And I agree, they have all been so inconsistent lately. I kind of wonder if the fun of it all has worn off, and the fact that they aren’t actually making that much money... if they are kind of tossing in the towel? I’m also genuinely curious how much youtubers make. Do any of you have any insight?

I think there is not much money generated by youtube for their types of channels unless the video is long with ads or is sponsored. I think they all are putting effort elsewhere to make money like Joanna offering interior design and Amanda is busy on instagram and has a podcast... I guess they want multiple revenue streams. I think YouTube has become too much effort for too little payoff— I think they would need way more subs=consistent views to motivate them.

Oh fun, tomorrow we will get to see Elle thrift shopping again. You know... just another good reason for her to buy a $2000 VINTAGE purse, while also providing her community with high quality relatable content, that she flew all the way to NC to have audited and Ok’d by her BFF’S!!!
