They seem like the most inexperienced travelers. Megan is the worst. She’s still in the US and can’t get breakfast organized for the children. 🥴
I think the reason Megan doesn’t like crowds (or schools) is because she doesn’t want her own inabilities heightened for others to see. She dislikes any outside authority over her own backward thoughts.

The worlds most seasoned travelers have been in Peru for what, 3 days? They have made changes to their itinerary on days 2 and 3. Day 2 they decided to extend some stays, and eliminate some stuff, so they had to change nearly every rental they have for their full trip.

Today they realized altitude sickness is a real thing when half the kids started vomiting in the car at 14,000ft, and made more expensive changes. Rather than driving back the same way, they are going to turn the rental car in at the end of the route, and fly back to Lima before flying home. I imagine they will wind up once again changing their itinerary again when they extend some stays longer to make up for the amount of time they were going to dedicate to driving back.

I wonder how much money they are losing on this. I guess if you just pray long enough, money for travel just appears.

As someone stated earlier, these guys just hemorrhage money. These kids are paying the price of their impulse decisions and lack of research and planning. I consider altitude sickness for them a blessing, no doubt they have not had proper vaccinations to be in some of those areas down there and vomiting is MUCH better then some of the diseases they are otherwise making them all exposed to. And Megan is wrong, they haven't #lessonlearned anything or they wouldn't even freaking be there in the first place. SO irresponsible.

Yall....I checked out the driving route from Lima to Cusco on Google Maps. It's about 800 miles of pure squiggly lines. I'm a truck driver and I know how ridiculous some roads in the US can be, but these look like an absolute nightmare. I was blown away! Lol. What's their plan if the van breaks down? Or one of the family members needs to go to a doctor?

Mike seems like the only parent with any sense, considering it might be the altitude that was bothering the kids. Uh, ya think? Even if the parents didn't feel nauseous, their ears had to have been popping every few hundred feet.

Imo a "vacation" shouldn't drain your energy through physical and mental exhaustion- especially to the point of kids vomiting and needing to change travel plans. Seems like if you're visiting a place like Peru you need to add in so many additional days just to get used to the altitude. I'll enjoy Machu Picchu online only thank you very much. :D

They don’t consider doctors necessary- there are oils for that. Even the “insurance” they carry is just people jointly sharing the bills and paying in absurd amounts in fees.

As for the altitude, neither of those assholes considered it an issue. Their town is at 800ft above sea level, while the area they were driving through was 14,000ft above. I’m sure they will be driving through more high altitude locations, which just means they would rather pretend to have the perfect vacation while dooming their kids to having issues like headaches, dizziness, vomiting, shortness of breath.

Just another great example of the stellar parenting choices these assholes make so they can fulfill their own dreams.

$20 says at some point (over the next year) Meggers mentions that they won't be doing a solo trip with Daniel, like they did with Elijah because they went to Peru.

Altitude sickness _can_ kill you. I know it's not likely that the kids will die of it, but it can happen. If they aren't taking it seriously, shame on them.
And I 100% agree that they won't take Daniel on a separate trip. They'll say that the trip to Peru was his trip.

Narcolepsy Mom you said exactly what most of us were thinking. This wasn't a trip for a family with many children, some with special needs. It was a trip for a couple of pretentious "fake" travelers to cross off their bucket list and bragging rights on Instagram!!!

I doubt they'll ever willingly bring attention to it. She'll just pretend it's not really a thing, and only respond when people continue to ask why he hasn't gone anywhere yet.

That, or she'll claim the only place he wanted to go was the Asian market again.

Tinkerbell dies without applause. Not uploading videos and hearing from her sycophant fans must be killing Meghan, especially with so much downtime while driving from site to site.

In the beginning, she shared all the nitty and gritty of the journey. Then they got a lot of flack for putting the children through those things, like the altitude sickness and stuff... And now it's suddenly all perfect rainbows and fantastic experiences. It feels fake.

I agree it does feel too "perfect." It was raining so they enjoyed watching Machu Picchu's water drainage system? :D I wonder how the lack of bathrooms went.

Oh, I am sure she is highly editing what she posts now after admitting they had no idea about altitude sickness, and a bus full of vomiting kids.

And therein lies the big issue I have with all these nutty YT Gurus. They KNOW NOTHING.

Isnt Megan, as a large family, traveling, Parenting GURU, supposed to KNOW more than nameless faceless "TROLLS" (their words) on websites like these? None of these MommyVlogger Parenting GURUs ever teach us anything. WE have more advice to impart than they do.

Megan? If you are supposed to be an Adventuring Large Family YOU SHOULD BE AN EXPERT ABOUT TRAVELING, You should have spent a lot of time researching everything so you could INFORM US of the do's and don'ts!

........instead, you went Thrifting for junk.
My posts on this board are only my opinion and shouldnt be taken as fact, unless noted

Mother of the year... “When we first arrive new places, the kids are always stressed and they ask me a lot more questions and they touch me a lot, so I have to work hard not to be overwhelmed by them touching me.”

😐

What the actual fuck?

Seriously. Why did this person think she could raise all of these children? Didn't she know herself at all after the first four she gave birth to? Children need affection and compassion, you nitwit.

She collects things, and at some point in time, her collectors mind set settled on kids. What’s really scary is the idea that had they not been so expensive and far away, they may have wound up with 10 adopted kids alone.

I half wonder what will happen when 2 or3 more are out of their house. Will she decide it’s time to start collecting children again?
