The way she was practically in a rage and going on and on about that stupid hardware was too much. It doesn’t fit. Who cares? You can be bummed. Sure. But mad? And to the extent she was? Dear lord.

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
I thought I heard her say in her instastories, milk studs, when referring to milk duds. They were at the movies with all the kids. I could be wrong. Will they still be calling those boys studs if one of them gets their teenage girlfriend pregnant in a few years? Everytime I hear them use that term, I think of dog breeding!lmmomSD wrote:Branden really needs to find another word to compliment other males. Because "stud" is just inappropriate for his sons, and calling the flooring guy a "stud" is just skeevy.

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
To be honest, I don’t think they’re being completely reckless with the updates they’re making to the house. They painted the cabinets instead of getting all new, that’s way cheaper. They went with laminate planks instead of hardwood, that’s usually cheaper. They had the floor laid over the tile instead of busting up the tile, cheaper. They only did the new flooring where hard floor already existed and kept the carpet everywhere else, cheaper. I liked their countertops before so I would’ve kept them, but the white is what is on trend and quite frankly, white doesn’t go out of style. Their new appliances are useful for them and absolutely makes a house sell easier/for more. Their tile floors were dark, cheap, and mismatched, so new flooring will increase the value for sure. Upgraded light fixtures also contribute to value. The gold cabinet hardware is ugly AF but that’s only a few hundred dollars, so if they want to waste that, so be it. They finished a basement bathroom and completed the closet...that would definitely add to resale value. And I actually DO hope they either paint or replace the front door and replace their stair rail and balusters. They aren’t spending hundreds of thousands to build on, tear down walls, put in marble flooring, install an elevator or something stupid. If and when they sell the house, they’re going to be fine and make money from it - I have no doubt there.

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
How did the tile guy 'just barely' show up today? Was he in an accident on his way in? Was he about to call out sick? Was he going to be locked out of the house if he didn't arrive on time? So many questions!
(looks like after raving about how good it looks, Mindy is unhappy with the backsplash!)

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
Why did she decide to write down the measurements AFTER the wrong hardware came in. Who wouldn’t have measured all the handles prior to ordering them!? And she was like “it said it’s ABOUT an 8 inch so I figured it’s all the same” ... I grew up with a dad just as handy as hers and I know damn well you get measurements before you order something. I’d expect that from brandens flakey ass but not hers.

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
How on Earth do you grow up with a father like Mindy's and order hardware without measuring? Or maybe Daddy did everything and Mindy just enjoyed the fruits of his labors?
Cardinal rule of carpentry: measure twice, cut once. I couldn't believe her going on about how wonderful she is for parallel parking. Do it in San Francisco. On a hill. In a car with a stick shift and rack and pinion steering. Then maybe I will be impressed. Her car probably has a backup camera, and she was on a flat surface. With power steering.
And that gold faucet is fugly.
They are back to hanging out with the Gardners. She bought ugly gold candles to go with her faucet. The kitchen looks like a hospital or dentist office.

Does anyone know why at the end of last nights vlog Mindy was taking off some of the new tiles? Don’t think the tile guy would of been too impressed x

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
They didn’t like it going up higher than the bottom of the cabinet (which I actually agree looked weird.) Once the mastic dries, it’s a way bigger deal to remove tiles, so she wanted to get it off before it was stuck for good. However, I’m sure the guy really enjoyed coming back the next day to just grout and seeing that she did that. The layout of the tile should have been decided before he did the work.welshmum wrote:Does anyone know why at the end of last nights vlog Mindy was taking off some of the new tiles? Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
Ryler's expression in this is everything. Mindy probably didn't even notice because she is so focused on perfect Princess Hazy trying once again to get the camera on herself. I've seen vlogs when Branden or Mindy are talking, and she comes up and sticks her face right in the camera. They've been rewarding the behavior and they are going to pay a price for that.

I disagree. The house is only about 10-15 years old. This is not a house say from pre 80s.apmfacebook93 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 7:18 am To be honest, I don’t think they’re being completely reckless with the updates they’re making to the house. Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
I wonder if Jared and Britt offered to watch the kids this much prior to needing vlog content. I don’t follow them a lot but see when their stories are reposted on TIHWB and Holland. Seems like every couple weeks they have some baby sitting adventure or dinner date, and of course, a whole vlog to go with it.

I’ve personally done it to two houses in the past three years. One built in 2004, the other in 2005. They will get a return.blessedunrest wrote:I disagree. The house is only about 10-15 years old. Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
Does anyone watch Jared and Brit? I'm guessing based on their vid title today ("I ripped my earlobe in half") that either a) it's nowhere near as serious as it sounds, b) it happened 15 years ago or c) both and it only takes up 20 seconds of the vlog.
I guess its Jared's background in startups but they way they've built their following is so inorganic and gross. They're constantly clickbaiting stuff that turns out to be wildly exaggerated or they'll title their vid something crazy dramatic and then only address it for ten seconds at the end of the vlog. I really don't like rewarding their methods with views (I know TIHWB is guilty of clickbait but I don't think they're anywhere near as bad as J+B) so if anyone actually watches them and can prove or disprove my theory it would be great

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
They are the absolutely worst at clickbait. It’s pathetic. So it happened years ago and didn’t even notice when it happened, she had it fixed a year ago and the only reason they are even able to discuss it is because she was going to go get her ears pierced.slc_chick wrote:Does anyone watch Jared and Brit? Basically exactly as I assumed. The saddest part is all the diehard TIHWB stans are just lapping up any content, so J+B basically get rewarded for that clickbait garbage no matter what.
Thanks for saving me the click!!

Re: This is how we Bingham | Part 4
Even with their pathetic attempts at clickbait the really don’t pull in a ton of views. The last 3 videos were less than 6k. They’re just not interesting enough people to post day to day vlogs without trying to clickbait something.slc_chick wrote:JD386 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:26 amThey are the absolutely worst at clickbait. Really? I would never think to do major upgrades (unless absolutely needed) to a fairly newish house.apmfacebook93 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 12:30 pmI’ve personally done it to two houses in the past three years.
